Abstract

In the context of regional economic development, challenges and opportunities play a vital role in determining the direction of regional progress and growth. Obstacles include limited access to funding, inadequate infrastructure, competition with foreign products, and limited skilled human resources. These obstacles require serious attention from various parties such as the government, the private sector, and the community to find sustainable and effective solutions to overcome these problems. Key strategies include improving the quality of infrastructure, providing better access to funding, and improving education and training to support the development of skilled human resources. A focus on empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), strengthening the competitiveness of local products, and innovation are crucial steps in creating a resilient regional economy. Cooperation between the government and the private sector in creating a conducive business environment is key to supporting sustainable economic growth. Amidst these obstacles, there are many opportunities that can be seized, especially by capitalizing on regional potentials such as unique natural and cultural resources. Development in sectors such as tourism and creative industries can be a key driver for regional economic growth. With the right strategy and strong cooperation between various stakeholders, the regional economy can grow rapidly and make a significant contribution to the welfare of the community, as well as becoming an important pillar for national economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the meaning behind the discourse of foodporn hashtags and halalfood hashtags in their use in the variety of social media language on the Instagram application. This research methodology is descriptive qualitative with content analysis. The data used in this method are uploads of foodporn hashtags and halalfood hashtags on Instagram from 32 Instagram accounts then analyzed using critical discourse analysis theory by Fairclough. The hashtags #halalfood and #foodporn which are part of a whole discourse related to food have different meanings based on textual analysis, analysis of discourse practices, and analysis of sociocultural practices. The hashtags #halalfood and #foodporn have different ideological meanings. The hashtag #halalfood is the language used by discourse makers to communicate with readers who practice Islamic principles, while the hashtag #foodporn is used by discourse makers to communicate with readers who have a lifestyle of worldly pleasure. The hashtags #halalfood and #foodporn have the same meaning in trying to influence readers to enjoy food and tools used in the economic field.

Abstract

Sustainable development has become a critical global agenda in the 21st century, requiring concerted efforts across sectors to balance economic progress, environmental sustainability and social welfare. In this context, taxes present a very useful but often underutilized policy tool. The study in this research utilizes a literature review. The results indicate that to maximize the function of taxes in sustainable development, comprehensive tax reforms are needed that include: simplifying the tax system, increasing tax progressivity, strengthening tax administration, and better integration of tax policy with environmental and social policies. In addition, closer international cooperation on taxation, especially to address cross-border issues such as tax avoidance by multinational companies, is also urgently needed.

Abstract

In today's increasingly competitive digital era, viral marketing through social media has become a key strategy for brands to increase their visibility and engagement. This research uses the literature study method. The results show that the success of viral marketing depends on several key factors: content creativity, a deep understanding of the target audience, good timing, and the ability to utilise the unique features of each social media platform. Major challenges include managing potential crises, maintaining brand consistency, and converting virality into measurable business results. As such, viral marketing through social media offers great potential for brands to achieve exponential growth in awareness and engagement. However, success depends on careful planning, precise execution, and the ability to adapt quickly to the platform's dynamics and ever-changing consumer behaviour. This research provides valuable insights for marketing practitioners and brand managers in designing and executing effective viral marketing strategies in today's digital age.

Abstract

Character education is crucial in producing students who are not only academically successful but also ethically and morally sound. Through character education, the role of teachers in schools becomes significantly influential in fostering students' discipline. The continued issues such as tardiness, use of inappropriate language, and not adhering to the uniform policy indicate that student discipline needs improvement. Based on these issues, the research questions are: 1) How is character education implemented at SMPN 7 to achieve student discipline? 2) What efforts are made by the school to instill character education in order to enhance student discipline? This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study are students at SMP Negeri 7 Depok, and the focus is on the instillation of character in student discipline. This study examines how the embedding of character values contributes to the level of student discipline. Qualitative research involves gathering verbal data and observing behaviors, aiming to create descriptive analyses. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. At SMPN 7 Depok, character education is integrated into every subject. Additionally, the school conducts extracurricular activities such as Friday morning studies, communal cleaning of the school environment, and seminars to socialize character education to students. Teachers must continue to serve as role models and examples for students to enhance discipline, as understanding character education is key to developing disciplined attitudes in students. Both teachers and parents should maintain good communication to monitor and control student behavior at school.

Abstract

In an increasingly competitive digital age, increasing brand awareness is both a challenge and a vital necessity for every business. Content marketing has emerged as an effective strategy to address this challenge. The research method in this study uses literature. The results revealed that the success of content marketing depends on several key factors: a deep understanding of the target audience, consistency in the production and distribution of high-quality content, optimisation for search engines (SEO), and seamless integration with other digital marketing strategies. The study also identifies common challenges in content marketing implementation, including difficulties in measuring ROI, maintaining content consistency, and competing in an increasingly crowded content landscape.

Abstract

Economic inequality is one of the global challenges that continues to be a concern for many countries. In an effort to address this issue, inclusive finance has emerged as a promising strategy. This study uses literature research method. The results show that inclusive finance has significant potential in reducing economic inequality through several mechanisms. First, by expanding access to formal financial services, inclusive finance enables low-income groups to save, obtain credit, and make investments. Second, inclusive finance programmes can improve financial literacy and encourage better financial decision-making. Third, inclusive finance supports the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which play an important role in job creation and inclusive economic growth.

Abstract

Waimiting is one of the villages in Lilialy District, Buru Regency, Maluku, Indonesia.Most of the area of Waimiting Village consists of eucalyptus plantations. The majority of the people of Jajaran Baru Village work as eucalyptus oil refiners. Waimiting Village is a partner village in the 2024 Kosabangsa Program activities with activities in the form of socialization and training in making briquettes from leaf waste from eucalyptus oil distillation as an effort to reduce leaf waste from eucalyptus oil refining and train the community in processing eucalyptus oil distillation leaf waste as an alternative energy source. Based on the results of these activities, results were obtained in the form of increasing the knowledge and skills of partners in making briquettes using eucalyptus oil distillation leaf waste. From the analysis data, an average score of 88.9 was obtained, which shows that public knowledge about briquettes from eucalyptus oil distillation leaf waste as an alternative energy is included in the Very Good category. For community skills, the average score was 88.7, this shows that community skills are in the Very Good category.

Abstract

The use of instant messaging applications has led to significant changes in people's communication patterns. The resulting positive impacts include increased efficiency, speed and expansion of social connectedness. These apps facilitate faster and more responsive communication with additional features such as video and voice calls, and enable the formation of more diverse virtual communities and discussion groups. However, there are also emerging challenges, such as the risk of misunderstandings, technology dependency, and a decline in the quality of face-to-face interactions. In addition, the rapid spread of information through these applications may increase the risk of disinformation. Therefore, it is important for people to improve their digital literacy and use instant messaging technology wisely to maximise the benefits while minimising the negative impacts.

Abstract

The important role of e-commerce in improving the local economy in the digital era by focusing on the empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). E- commerce provides wider market access for MSMEs, opening up sales opportunities to the global level without geographical restrictions. Digital literacy and adequate internet infrastructure are key elements that enable local businesses to run online businesses eflectively, thereby improving their operational efficiency and competitive ability. In addition, the optimisation of logistics and the implementation of appropriate digital marketing strategies contribute to the success of e-commerce in supporting the local economy. With efficient logistics infrastructure and modern technology, MSMEs can fulfil consumer expectations for fast and safe delivery. Data-driven digital marketing strategies help MSMEs attract and retain customers. Overall, e-commerce is creating new opportunities for local businesses and driving inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
