Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out to address the low mastery of the Arabic language among students at MA Roudlotut Tholibin Balen, particularly in vocabulary acquisition, grammatical understanding, and learning motivation. These challenges prompted the school to establish an Arabic language course designed for students from grades X to XII as a reinforcement program. Through a formal collaboration between MA Roudlotut Tholibin Balen and Institut Attanwir Bojonegoro, this PKM activity was initiated to improve and revitalize the existing course, which had previously been considered monotonous and lacking significant progress. The main objective of this program was to provide students with theoretical and practical guidance in learning Arabic through engaging, interactive, and needs-based approaches. The activities were conducted once every two weeks, beginning on August 1, 2025, and included sessions covering essential linguistic components such as nahwu, vocabulary enrichment, insyā’, and other language skills. In addition to the core materials, students were introduced to Arabic songs, interactive games, and creative learning techniques to enhance their enthusiasm and motivation.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the Qur'an literacy of elementary school students through the application of the Yanbu'a method based on play-based learning. The problem faced by the partners is the low interest in learning and reading skills of students due to conventional and monotonous learning. This community service program is implemented with a participatory approach through learning mentoring, teacher training, and direct application of the Yanbu'a method combined with educational play activities. The implementation method includes initial observation, program planning, implementation of learning activities, and evaluation of activity results. Data were obtained through observation of the learning process, teacher and student reflections, and activity documentation. The results of the community service show that the application of the Yanbu'a method based on play-based learning is able to gradually increase students' enthusiasm, active participation, and Qur'an reading skills. In addition, interactions between teachers and students become more communicative and the learning atmosphere is more enjoyable. This activity makes a positive contribution to improving the quality of Qur'an learning in elementary school and has the potential to become an applicable learning model that can be replicated in the context of Islamic basic educatio.

Abstract

Bedono Tourism Village is known as “Kampung Teles” due to the phenomenon of abrasion and daily tidal flooding. It has unique tourism potential but faces obstacles in terms of service quality.  Without immediate intervention, the degradation of service quality amidst these extreme environmental conditions is feared to stifle tourist interest and paralyze the burgeoning local economy. This study aims to improve the capacity of human resources, namely tourism practitioners in Bedono Tourism Village, through Sapta Pesona training as the basis for excellent service. The method used is a participatory approach involving 11 members of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) through the stages of needs analysis, material presentation, case discussions, and simulations (role-play). Evaluation was conducted using a pretest-posttest design to measure the increase in participants’ knowledge. The results showed that before the training, service was still spontaneous and not yet standardized. After the training, there was a 26.8% increase in participants' knowledge, with the average score increasing from 54.5% to 81.3%. Participants were able to integrate the dimensions of excellent service (reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence) into the seven elements of Sapta Pesona. In conclusion, this training succeeded in strengthening the initial capital of human resources in building professional and sustainable services. The recommendations in this study are the preparation of written Service Operational Standards from Pokdarwis, infrastructure improvements from the local government, and the strengthening of a hospitable culture from the local community to increase tourist satisfaction amid environmental limitations.

Abstract

This community service program aims to provide assistance in the distribution of zakat funds for beneficiaries of Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH) among underprivileged individuals living alone in Bondowoso Regency. The method employed was direct field assistance through observation, interviews, and active participation in the zakat distribution process. The service team assisted 20 underprivileged individuals who had no family support and were living in uninhabitable housing conditions. Each beneficiary received monthly cash assistance of IDR 600,000 to meet their daily living needs. The results indicate that the zakat assistance program was well-targeted and provided tangible benefits in improving the welfare of the beneficiaries. The direct involvement of the service team in the assistance and distribution process also enabled a comprehensive understanding of the social and economic conditions and the actual needs of the beneficiaries. This program is expected to serve as a sustainable zakat assistance model and to be expanded more broadly as part of poverty alleviation efforts.

Abstract

Manggis Village, Ngancar District, Kediri Regency is one of the largest pineapple producers in East Java, but the abundance of pineapples in the village has not been optimized by the community due to a lack of innovation in how to process pineapples into products with high selling value. Furthermore, the community lacks understanding of how to market processed pineapple products. They prefer to sell the pineapples harvested from their plantations directly at low prices without processing them to increase their selling price and community income. Therefore, innovation is needed to process pineapples into products with high selling value. Using the PAR approach, the goal of this program is for the community to be able to optimize their harvest into products with higher selling prices and to better understand how to market these products. The implementation of activities includes: (1) socialization of increasing pineapple processing yields (2) training in making pineapple sambal (3) formation of SME groups (4) ongoing assistance and marketing training. The result of this program is the creation of a pineapple sambal product named “Sambal Nanas Khas Ngancar” with very attractive packaging and labeling.  The final outcome of this program can contribute to enhancing the capacity of MSME human resources, expanding market access, and increasing farmers’ income potential through the diversification of pineapple-based processed products rooted in local potential.
