Abstract

For many applications, natural fibers provide reinforcement properties at lower cost, lower density, and higher strength and stiffness. The potential advantages of natural fiber have been well documented and are generallybased on environmental friendliness as well as health and safety factors. Most researches concentrate on naturalfibre/nondegradable polymer composites but research reports on natural/biodegradable polymer composites arerather limited. The performance of natural fiber including recycled newspaper fiber, bamboo and hemp fiber, nata de cassava etc, reinforced PLA composites has been investigated.  Determined the mechanical propertiesof the PLA/jute fiber composites and showed that the tensile strength of composites was significantly higherthan that of PLA. But the elongation at break of the composites is still very low as about 2%. Cellulose is abiopolymer whose availability on earth is abundant, known as a major component in plants. But cellulose is alsoan extracellular microbial polymer. Cellulose bacteria is a specific product of primary metabolism. Cellulose issynthesized by bacteria derived from Acetobacter, Rhizobium, Agrobacterium, and Acetobacter generationSarcina. Effectively effective gram is acetobacter xylinum acetic acid bacteria. Cellulose bacteria has beenapplied as nata de coco, wound care products, and tissue engineering. In addition, bacterial cellulose also has thepotential to strengthen the polymer to form a nanocomposite Keywords: Bacterial, Nata De Coco

Abstract

Industry, agriculture and THR sectors are some of the leading sectors in Central Java . Central Java with thecapital city of Semarang City, is the third in Indonesia with the highest population in addition to West Java and East Java. Given the high population density and economic growth rate, it should also be followed by the sector's ability to absorb the available employment. Whereas in reality, the world of work or industry and professional associations often complain that the quality of staff (graduates) has not yet met the required skills demands (competencies). So the need for assessment of the absorption of employment from elementary school to upper for the planning of education system, so that education is more directed to education system oriented to the world of work appropriately and more efficiently with adequate amount and quality can absorbed. Data used in this research is observation data to Central Statistics Agency of Central Java and Ministry of Education and Culture of Central Java for the period of 2015. Observation unit in this research is cities in Central Java , the data used among others the amount of absorption Workforce in general with basic education background  toupper. In addition to employment data, data supporting factors such as workforce, industrial GDP value, agricultural GDP value, THR GDP value, and wage employment is also a research variable. The results of this study are the variables that significantly influence the model are the variables workforce, agricultural GDP value, THR GDP value, and wage employment. While significant variables have significant and significant influence in the spatial model are the variables workforce, industrial GDP value, agricultural GDP value, andTHR GDP value. Abstract

As food waste poultry eggshells contain harmful components, organic compounds, hard physical characteristics, rough, flavorful fishy and has a less attractive color when used as food. Extraction process with CH3COOH andNaOH is known to improve physical and organoleptic characteristics of egg powder eggshell. The generalpurpose of the research is to know the effect of CHCOOH and NaOH extraction on physical and organolepticcharacteristics of egg powder eggshell. The research method was experimental design using random completefactorial design, which consisted of 2 factors and 16 treatments is solvent type (Control, H2O, CH3COOH, andNaOH) and poultry eggshell (duck, quail, chicken race, and free-range chicken). Each treatment was repeated 3times, so that 48 units of experiments were obtained. The result data of physical characteristic test was analyzedusing Anova statistic method followed by further test of DMRT, while the test result of organoleptic characteristic was analyzed using Friedman statistic method followed by Wilcoxon test. The results showed that eggshell chicken eggs extracted with CH3COOH solution produces the best physical and organoleptic characteristics of eggshell flour. Abstract

The external turmoil that occurs today has a negative impact on all the structure and order of the domestic system. One of the recovery efforts is the implementation of mental revolution through character education. The character education can be applied to the affective aspect ofthe basic mathematics learning which will be integrated with basic mathematics material using character to be implemented. In addition, the colleges can be a place for student character development. This research was conducted at Muhammadiyah University of Semarang andSemarang State University. This research is a quantitative descriptive research using UCLA evaluation method. The data were collected by questionnaire method and interview. The results showed, 1) lecturers have little impact on the development of student character.2) program planning, given the integrated learning character education. 3) Program implementation, character education has never been introduced or used in the majority of learning. Indirectly, some character education indicators have been embedded in the students. However, most indicators are still not fully embedded, such as honesty, religious, caring for others, discipline, hard work, self-reliance, and responsibility. Thus, it is necessary to develop character values on basic mathematics learning applied to processes, techniques, andassessment instruments. Keywords: Character education, UCLA, basic

Abstract

Inequality is a state where there is an imbalance between each other. Inequality indicates the unevenness ofdevelopment that runs in an area. In Central Java, the problem of inequality among people still exists in daily life.Geographically Weight Regression method is a method that yields model parameter estimators that have localizedproperties at each point or location. In this study aims to modeling the inequality problem that occurred in CentralJava using Geographically Weight Regression method that has the nature of localization at the point. Data takenfrom Central Statistics Agency (BPS) 2015. Through Geographically Weight Regression method can beconcluded that with OLS method got 2 variables effect on imbalance wit h α 10% is variable of HDI  (IPM) andPDRB. While the influential GWR method is the number of population and the amount of labor. While goodnessof fit test showed there is no difference between GWR model and OLS model or in other words there is no spatialeffect in the imbalance analysis in Central Java Province (0.4976 <0.1).Keywords: inequality, GWR,Spatial
