Abstract

This research examines the opportunities for Islam in the era of globalization, a case study of da'wah on social media. This research aims to analyze the opportunities for Islamic da'wah in the era of globalization with a focus on the use of social media as a medium for da'wah. social media itself is an effective means of spreading da'wah messages globally, the results of this research are that the opportunity for Islam in the era of globalization is that social media has a very important role, da'wah messages can be spread quickly and effectively through social media, reaching a wider audience, however, the use of social media in preaching must be wise and responsible. The research method used is a case study, by analyzing preaching content delivered through platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. The research results show that social media can be an effective tool in conveying Islamic values creatively, interactively and easily accessible. Apart from that, the use of social media is able to reach the younger generation who make up the largest part of internet users. However, challenges such as hoaxes, disinformation and misinterpretations of Islamic teachings also require special attention. Therefore, an innovative da'wah approach is needed that is appropriate to the digital context to maximize the opportunities offered by the era of globalization.

Abstract

This study argues that the integration of Islamic teachings and local Kejawen culture is essential to understanding the religious practices of Muslims. This argument is supported by observations of the dynamics of interaction between religious teachings and local traditions, which show that moderation (wasathiyyah) is key to creating balance and tolerance. The approach used in this study is a literature study, where the analysis of relevant texts and references explores how Kejawen adherents integrate Islamic worship with local traditions, such as selamatan and ruwah. The results of the study show that moderation is not only a theoretical concept, but also a practice that is lived in everyday life. The application of the values of tolerance and education in the context of moderation allows Muslims to appreciate diversity while maintaining their identity.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between secularism, radicalism, and terrorism in the context of security and religious freedom in Indonesia. Extreme secularism can fuel radicalism, while radicalism can lead to terrorism. This qualitative research analyzes primary and secondary data sources. The findings indicate that secularism, radicalism, and terrorism significantly impact security and religious freedom. Effective prevention and countermeasures strategies are necessary. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the relationship between secularism, radicalism, and terrorism and their implications for security and religious.

Abstract

 This article examines Islam's perspective on pluralism and multiculturalism through the lens of Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 13. This verse emphasizes the significance of human diversity, created in various tribes and nations, as a manifestation of Allah's greatness and a means to foster mutual understanding. Employing a thematic exegesis approach, the study analyzes how Islamic principles uphold diversity, justice, and tolerance as essential elements for building social harmony. The findings reveal that Islam acknowledges plurality as a natural aspect of human existence and emphasizes universal brotherhood that transcends ethnic, cultural, and religious boundaries. This verse provides an ethical foundation for strengthening intercultural interactions based on respect and mutual comprehension, positioning pluralism and multiculturalism as opportunities to enhance human relationships. These insights contribute to contemporary discourse on interfaith dialogue and managing diversity in multicultural societies.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the social adaptation process of Sundanese ethnic individuals living within the predominantly Javanese community of Palimanan Timur Village, Cirebon Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through open interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that Sundanese residents are able to engage actively with the local social environment without abandoning their cultural identity. Adaptation is demonstrated through participation in religious and social activities, the use of Bahasa Indonesia as a means of communication, and openness toward local norms and values. Challenges such as language differences and cultural traits were overcome through consistent interaction and daily immersion. The adaptation process reflects an integrative strategy, in which cultural diversity becomes a foundation for harmonious interethnic relations. These findings reinforce the relevance of social adaptation theory, cultural acculturation, and intergroup contact in shaping social dynamics within multicultural communities.

Abstract

Social and cultural changes in the modern era have had a significant impact on how parents raise their children, including guiding their interactions with the opposite sex. In the Banjar community, this shift is evident in parenting patterns that are increasingly shifting from traditional parenting based on customary and religious values to more permissive parenting. This encourages adolescents to freely establish social relationships with the opposite sex, without adequate parental control. This study aims to describe parental parenting patterns and their impact on adolescents' social relationships with the opposite sex in Jamil Village, South Labuan Amas District, South Kalimantan. The study used descriptive qualitative methods using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that permissive parenting is the dominant parenting style, making adolescents more comfortable forming relationships with peers of the opposite sex outside the home than communicating with family. Furthermore, authoritarian parenting patterns were also found, resulting in minimal communication and an increased tendency for adolescents to keep problems to themselves without parental guidance. This change in parenting patterns has implications for a shift in social values in the Banjar community, from a collective parenting style to a more individualistic one. This research is expected to be a reference for families and communities in building balanced parenting patterns so that adolescents can grow with healthier and more controlled social behavior.

Abstract

Penafsiran al-Qur’an merupakan aktivitas ilmiah yang terus berkembang seiring dengan perubahan zaman. Salah satu corak penafsiran yang banyak diperbincangkan adalah tafsir bi ra’yi, yakni tafsir yang berlandaskan pada ijtihad dan penalaran mufassir, di samping penggunaan riwayat dan kaidah kebahasaan. Meski eksistensinya telah lama diperdebatkan, tafsir bi ra’yi memiliki peran penting dalam memperkaya khazanah penafsiran Islam. Memasuki era digital, tafsir bi ra’yi mengalami transformasi signifikan melalui media baru seperti website, aplikasi tafsir, media sosial, hingga kecerdasan buatan. Fenomena digitalisasi ini membawa dampak ganda: di satu sisi, memperluas akses, mendemokratisasi pengetahuan, dan memudahkan umat dalam menjangkau tafsir; namun di sisi lain, menimbulkan tantangan terkait otoritas, otentisitas, dan potensi distorsi penafsiran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research dengan mengkaji sumber-sumber klasik dan kontemporer, baik berupa kitab tafsir, literatur akademik, maupun platform digital tafsir al-Qur’an. Analisis dilakukan dengan pendekatan tematik untuk mengidentifikasi konsep tafsir bi ra’yi dan memetakan pengaruh digitalisasi dalam penyebarannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi menghadirkan peluang besar bagi penyebaran tafsir bi ra’yi secara global, tetapi juga menuntut adanya literasi digital keislaman, verifikasi akademik, serta keterlibatan otoritas keilmuan agar tafsir tetap terjaga dari penyalahgunaan. Dengan demikian, integrasi antara tradisi keilmuan tafsir dan inovasi digital menjadi kunci penting dalam menjaga relevansi dan otentisitas tafsir bi ra’yi di era modern.

Abstract

This article examines the strategic role of indigenous women in advancing ecological justice through the PEREMPUAN AMAN movement, particularly in the advocacy for the Indigenous Peoples Bill. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study explores how indigenous women experience multiple layers of discrimination, including the loss of land rights, traditional knowledge, inheritance, and exclusion from political participation and development processes. The study highlights how PEREMPUAN AMAN mobilizes resources, builds cross-community solidarity, and frames ecological and gender justice issues as a social movement strategy. Findings reveal that indigenous women are not merely victims of exploitative policies and development but are also key actors in pushing for more inclusive policy transformations. This movement underscores the need to integrate ecological justice and indigenous women’s rights into public policymaking.

Abstract

The Lalayon dance is a form of cultural expression of the Vedic people of North Maluku, rich in symbolic meaning. This study aims to understand how the Lalayon dance shapes and represents social identity and reflects cultural relations and the social structure of the Vedic people. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the Lalayon dance functions not only as entertainment but also as a medium for conveying cultural values, a symbol of community identity, and a means of reproducing social structure. The Lalayon dance is not merely a means of entertainment but also contains deep meaning that reflects the value system, norms, and social structure of the Vedic people. Furthermore, Lalayon serves as a vehicle for transmitting ancestral values to the younger generation, strengthening social solidarity, and clarifying existing social stratification. Thus, this research contributes to the development of cultural sociology studies, particularly regarding symbolism in traditional performing arts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses internalisasi nilai-nilai psikologi pendidikan Islam dalam interaksi guru dan murid di SMA Integral Hidayatullah Batam. Fokus penelitian terletak pada bagaimana guru menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai keislaman melalui pendekatan psikologis, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang dihadapi dalam praktik sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi kegiatan sekolah. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the internalization of Islamic educational psychology values is manifested through teacher role modeling (uswah hasanah), habituation of worship and Islamic character, as well as emotional and spiritual guidance in both classroom and non-classroom interactions. Supporting factors include a religious school culture, family support, and teachers’ consistency as role models. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors involve students’ diverse backgrounds, the influence of digital media, and limited time for guidance. This study concludes that the internalization of Islamic educational psychology values significantly contributes to shaping students’ religious character and positive personality. The implications highlight the importance of collaboration among teachers, schools, and families in ensuring the continuity of Islamic personality development based on educational psychology principles. penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
