Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the loading and unloading activities on Pelni ships and the relationship of ship loading and unloading productivity to the ship berthing time on Pelni ships by PT SBN at Tanjung Priok Port. This research method uses quantitative analysis, where the data obtained are company data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 25 software. The results of this study state that loading and unloading productivity in 2020 and 2021 has the highest average, 12 Teus/Gang/Hour. The longest time for ships to berth in 2020 is 25.36 hours, and in 2021 the longest time for ships to berth is 23.06 hours. From the calculation result of simple regression show that there is a positive relationship between loading and unloading productivity and the time the ship is thetered. After testing the hypothesis, there is a significant relationship between loading and unloading productivity (Variable X) and berthing time (Variable Y). However, the productivity of loading and unloading and the time of berthing still need to be considered and improved to produce maximum results and the company does not suffer losses or decrease in quality.

Abstract

PT. DJ is an abattoir located in DKI Jakarta. PT DJ the supplies beef needs in DKI Jakarta. In this study, researchers used two types of beef, namely neck bone and knuckle. The problem that occurs at this time is that PT. DJ does not yet have good inventory management so that the cost of procurement and supply of imported beef is high and there is often uncertainty about the supply of beef from suppliers. The existence of planning for procurement and supply of imported beef at PT. DJ to reduce procurement and inventory costs and ensure that the stock of imported beef needs in DKI Jakarta is met. This study uses the method of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Re Order Point (ROP), and Buffer Stock. The results of this study based on calculations using the EOQ method produce a more optimal total cost compared to the current conditions at PT. DJ

Abstract

The increasing activity of shipping goods from abroad and from within the country makes freight forwarding service companies have an important role in these activities. PT. IFB Indonesia, which is a freight forwarding company, is synonymous with cooperation involvement with other logistics service companies to help the process of shipping goods, one of which is cooperation with trucking vendors. The performance of trucking vendors in the process of shipping goods has a great influence on freight forwarding companies. This requires PT. IFB Indonesia as a freight forwarding service company needs to carry out priority trucking vendor selection activities. This research aims to identify and analyze the criteria used in the process of selecting priority trucking vendors. To analyze the selection of priority trucking vendors in PT. IFB Indonesia used the TOPSIS method. The criteria used as assessment materials are price, availability, and reliability criteria. The application of the TOPSIS method will provide assessment results from each criterion for each trucking vendor, so as to provide trucking vendor answers with the best assessment that can be used as a priority choice. The selection of priority trucking vendors is carried out by giving importance to each criterion. The results of the analysis using the TOPSIS method showed the HCC company with a score of 1 as the first rank. Meanwhile, the last rank is the MBS company with a score of 0,20753059.

Abstract

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is the largest main airport in Indonesia with 3 runway facilities with 2 dependent runways and 1 independent runway. The purpose of this study is to determine the cost of aircraft operational queues and the expected average waiting time of aircraft when taking off and landing in 2023 and forecasting in 2025 to determine developments when conditions return to normal. In this study, the queuing system method is used, the data used is from January - December 2023 and data from 2014 - 2018 for 2025 forecasting analysis. The results of the study showed that the waiting time for aircraft in 2023 was 0.00491 hours, with a waste of operational costs reaching Rp91,594,539,917.00. In this case, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport can minimize the time and cost by using 3 runways independently, because the costs incurred to operate the 3 runways are the same as the costs incurred for operating 2 dependent runways and 1 independent runway but the resulting time and cost can be further minimized.

Abstract

In Indonesia, a new rail-based transportation mode has recently been introduced, namely the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail (KCJB), commonly known as "Whoosh." Whoosh connects the Jakarta area with Bandung, and the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung HighSpeed Rail is one of the international cooperation projects between Indonesia and China in the transportation sector. Because of that the author want to research the characteristics of passengers of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail (Whoosh) at Halim Station, using quantitative methods and descriptive analysis to explain the characteristics of Whoosh passengers in terms of social demographics, economy, and travel patterns. In this study, the author uses 208 samples as research subjects. The passenger characteristics based on social demographics show that the majority are female, aged 21-35 years, students, with an average educational background of a bachelor’s degree (S1). The passenger characteristics based on economic factors indicate that the average monthly income is less than IDR 5,000,000. The passenger characteristics based on travel patterns reveal that the majority of passengers come from East Jakarta, stop at Padalarang Station, and continue their journey to Bandung City during holidays or weekends.

Abstract

The pipeline transportation network is an efficient mode of transport that facilitates the delivery of natural gas supplies from one region to another. The risk of leaks has become a serious issue in the transportation of natural gas through pipelines. Leaks can occur due to various factors such as corrosion, mechanical damage, or operational errors. Therefore, the transporter must ensure that every operational activity runs according to the procedures. This research aims to analyze the optimization of pipeline network performance. The main objective is to understand the operational performance of the gas pipeline network at PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia in delivering gas supply in Grissik-Duri. The analysis method used is qualitative descriptive to present an objective description of a condition, starting from data collection, interpretation, to the presentation of the results. Over the past three years, there has been a significant increase in gas delivery volume, namely 273.9 MMSCFD in 2021, 287.2 MMSCFD in 2022, and 291.04 MMSCFD in 2023. The performance of the pipeline network over the last three years has exceeded the established targets, which were 256 MMSCFD in 2021, 276 MMSCFD in 2022, and 279 MMSCFD in 2023. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the operational performance of the pipeline network shows consistent improvement each year, both in terms of actual volume and capacity utilization. Based on the available data, the operational performance of the pipeline network has been realized effectively and optimally.

Abstract

PT. X is a company engaged in logistics, especially as a third party that provides services in the form of warehouse rental. As well as storage warehouses that are used to accommodate new goods from vendors to overcome all logistics in shipping goods. Based on the analysis carried out directly at the warehouse location, it was found that there was a problem regarding the accumulation of goods that came in the staging area , due to the location of forklift storage that was far from the location in the warehouse to the proposal to minimize material handling costs. With these problems, an analysis of the layout proposal based on data was carried out using the System Layout Planning (SLP) method, the result of the proposal was aimed at minimizing the costs incurred by the company and reducing the distance in the material handling flow. In this case, the calculation using System Layout Planning (SLP) obtained the results of changes regarding material handling costs, the change was initially Rp. 2,612,245 and the proposed material handling cost saved Rp. 559,251 to Rp.2,052. 994 and for the distance obtained the result After the implementation of the proposed layout, the material displacement flow distance / week was 23065m from the initial layout of 25326m and there was a difference of 2,261m. With the implementation of these changes, researchers hope that companies can achieve better operational efficiency and optimize the use of existing resources.

Abstract

This research aims to determine, analyze and improve the layout of the storage warehouse at PT. IPP using the Class Based Storage Method. Materials that move quickly or are fast moving are stored close to the loading/unloading door to minimize material transportation distance. Company PT. IPP operates in the field of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. The cause of the inefficient layout of goods in the warehouse is because there are no employees dedicated to the warehouse section so that the placement of goods becomes irregular. Based on the research, the results of the ABC classification in this study obtained three groups, namely where goods with a faster frequency of moving in and out were classified into group A, then goods which moved quickly but were not too close to the door were clarified into group B and items whose movements slow and far from the exit are classified as group C, clarification according to the frequency of material handling movement distance. After making a proposed warehouse layout, the results were able to minimize the distance moved during material handling in the initial warehouse layout of 7,033/month to a smaller value, namely 3,460/month. So it can be concluded that the Class Based Storage Method can be applied in companies so that the warehouse layout becomes more efficient.

Abstract

Service quality is one of the main benchmarks in the retail industry. High-quality service makes a retail business more competitive and enhances the company’s image. Excellent warehouse service is also a key aspect of evaluating warehouse service levels. The retail company under study in this research is PT XYZ, one of the top three retail companies in Indonesia. Data from the past six months, from January to June 2024, shows a significant decline in service levels in February, dropping to 74%. This indicates that the company failed to meet its monthly service level target of 75% in February. In this study, service quality is the main focus, measured using the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) method, which covers five dimensions: Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. The initial stage of this research involved analyzing the shortcomings in PT XYZ, particularly in the warehouse service quality. After identifying and analyzing the issues, a questionnaire was distributed to customers to understand the root causes of the problem. The results showed that, among the SERVQUAL dimensions, Reliability had the lowest quality score, while Tangibles had the highest.

Abstract

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is the airport with the most passengers and continues to increase every year. This will certainly affect the airport bus service. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the transportation needs of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport bus fleet. In this study, the forecasting method was used to see the increase in passengers in the coming year, and the method of calculating fleet needs based on Headway and circulation time, as well as the method of calculating passenger waiting time using actual arrival time and scheduled arrival time. The results of the forecasting show that passengers in 2024 are 26,407,749 and the number of passengers in 2025 is 26,899,319 passengers. The average results of bus arrivals from 26 routes obtained an average of 3 actual arrival schedules that exceeded the standard waiting time for public transportation. Therefore, in overcoming the increase in passengers, there must be an increase in airport infrastructure and the Ottobus company must minimize the factors that affect bus delays.
