Abstract

Household waste is an environmental problem that has the potential to be very dangerous if alternative solutions are not found to reduce it. One of the household wastes that is often found is egg shells. This waste is often found in cake sellers, restaurants, households and laying hen farms. This waste is often found in cake sellers, restaurants, households and laying hen farms. Generally, Indonesian egg shells have not been managed properly so people only throw them away or store them in empty areas in village areas. The aim of community service is 1) a solution for managing egg shells as organic fertilizer, 2) Providing training regarding the use of egg shell waste as organic fertilizer. The method used is direct outreach and training with the vegetable cultivating community. The materials used are cassava leaves, animal waste, fruit waste, EM4 and palm sugar. The results of community service activities for vegetable cultivators show good results. The organic fertilizer solution that has been mixed with various other supporting materials is then put into a bottle and tightly closed, then fermented for up to 10 days at a temperature of 40°C. After 10 days, liquid organic fertilizer is put into packaging bottles. The organic fertilizer produced can be used directly by the cultivating community.

Abstract

Companies need to understand and manage relationships with stakeholders in achieving goals and prepare conflict reports that cover social, environmental and economic aspects in accordance with POJK No. 51/POJK.03/2017. The 3P (Profit, Planet, People) concept from Elkington (1997) emphasizes the balance between economic profit, environmental sustainability and social welfare. Binus Business School held a public lecture entitled "Stakeholder Engagement for Sustainability" with 757 participants to increase understanding of stakeholder engagement and relevant regulations, using examples of companies such as Tesla and KFC. The method used is the delivery of research-based material. The results of the discussion showed that government regulations, including Law no. 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, plays an important role in regulating corporate social responsibility (CSR). Compliance with these regulations is essential to maintain social and environmental responsibility. In conclusion, companies have a dual role in society: they can provide great benefits through innovation and job creation, but they can also have negative impacts regarding the environment and human rights. It is important for companies to comply with regulations and take responsible steps to strike a balance between the positive benefits and negative impacts of their operations.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the community of Sipungguk Village, Salo District, Kampar Regency, in the drainage management system to reduce the risk of flooding. The main problems faced include poor drainage function, blockages due to garbage, lack of routine maintenance, suboptimal planning, low public awareness of the importance of drainage, and declining air quality due to inappropriate systems. The implemented solutions include increasing drainage capacity and planning, better waste management, regular maintenance, the implementation of environmentally friendly systems, increasing public awareness through outreach, and more integrated air management. The implementation methods include field surveys, interviews, policy analysis, and collaboration with the village government, NGOs, the private sector, and the local community. The results of the activity show that active community involvement in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of drainage can increase environmental awareness, reduce waterlogging during rain, and strengthen cooperation between related parties. This program is expected to become a model that can be applied in other villages in order to realize effective, sustainable drainage management that has a positive impact on the environment and community welfare.

Abstract

Abstract

Plastic has the characteristic of being difficult to decompose. Plastic takes 50 - 200 years to decompose in soil (M, Sugito, & Atmaja, 2018). Waste management in Banyuanyar village, Sampang Regency was initiated by a community movement called Go Green to establish a waste bank. This waste bank recycles organic waste into fertilizer and makes vases from plastic, bags from plastic, chairs from fabric and plastic waste, mats from plastic, and other ornaments which are done on Sundays. Valuable plastics like beverage bottles can be resold for assets. Meanwhile, hard-to-process plastics are usually disposed of in landfills. With the presence of pyrolysis, all waste can be processed by the Go Green community. 2 kg of plastic can produce 380 ml of liquid fuel through pyrolysis.

Abstract

Feed is one of the important factors that must be considered in raising livestock. The success of raising livestock is determined by the quality of the feed provided. However, there are still many breeders who do not pay attention to the quality of the feed given to their livestock, resulting in less than optimal growth and productivity. Lack of public knowledge about livestock and planning causes large costs incurred by livestock farmers. Therefore, it is necessary to provide training and education to the community so that the costs incurred in raising livestock can be reduced. SMK Negeri 1 Kuok is the only Vocational High School where one of the student's Skill Competencies is Ruminant Agribusiness. Students at SMK Negeri 1 Kuok, especially the Ruminant Agribusiness Skills Competency, as young livestock people who will later take part in society, should be equipped with special skills that they can later apply in society. This community service activity aims to provide training to the community in producing alternative feed products and improving the quality of animal feed products which is currently a problem for partners. This service includes workshop activities providing material on animal feed processing by utilizing appropriate technology and environmentally friendly methods for community empowerment. To increase the productivity of livestock, it needs to be supported by adequate feed with nutritional requirements that are met. Therefore, farmers need to have sufficient knowledge and understanding to be able to process good and highly nutritious animal feed to support the productivity of their livestock. So this training makes a positive contribution to partners. The response of training participants to the implementation of Community Partnership Program activities was in the good category.
