Abstract

The main issue addressed is the significant gap between the work experience of new graduates and industry demands, where Fresh graduates often encounter obstacles in securing their first job due to the lack of practical field experience. This phenomenon creates a paradox in which companies require experienced workers, while new graduates need opportunities to gain such experience. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted at Netjes College to gain an in-depth understanding of how motivation can serve as a compensatory factor for limited experience. The findings reveal that high intrinsic and extrinsic motivation can effectively bridge the experience gap through several mechanisms: increased willingness for independent learning, greater adaptability to new work environments, initiative in taking on additional responsibilities, and persistence in facing early career challenges. These results indicate that Fresh graduates with high motivation tend to be more proactive in seeking self-development opportunities and demonstrate competitive performance compared to candidates who possess experience but low motivation. The practical implication of this study is the importance for educational institutions to not only focus on transferring technical knowledge but also to develop students’ motivational aspects as essential preparation for transitioning from the academic world to the professional realm.

Abstract

This study explores the effect of Time Management (X1) and Online Training (X2) on Employee Performance (Y), with Work Experience (Z) acting as a mediating variable. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) to analyze data from 96 sales employees at XL Fiberhome, Jember. The results reveal that Time Management and Online Training contribute significantly to Employee Performance, with Time Management showing a moderate direct effect and Online Training showing a slightly stronger impact. Fur-thermore, Work Experience was found to mediate the relationship between Time Management and Online Training and Employee Performance, indicating that employees with greater work experience can more effectively apply the skills acquired through time management and training. The findings of this study underscore the im-portance of integrating time management practices and continuous online training into organizational strategies to improve employee performance, especially in today's rapidly changing and flexible work environment. The sig-nificant direct and indirect effects observed in this study highlight the interrelatedness of these factors, offering new insights into how organizations can optimize performance through a combination of skill development and experience. These results contribute to the broader literature on employee performance by offering a compre-hensive model that accounts for the dynamics of evolving modern work practices. This study also provides practical recommendations for human resource management, emphasizing the need for organizations to invest in time management tools, online training platforms, and supportive work experiences to enhance productivity.

Abstract

Currently, developments in the increasingly advanced business world have led to increasingly fierce competition. One way to maintain the survival of the company is to maintain good relationships with customers. Because from research results retaining existing customers is much easier than getting new customers. Very tight business competition will really require strategic steps to deal with it. Old customers must be maintained by paying attention to all customer needs and also satisfying customer service. For new customers, efforts are made to become regular customers, by building relationships with customers. Companies engaged in the sale of goods such as companies engaged in the sale of motorcycles are facing stiff competition. It is very important to know and meet customer needs quickly and precisely. The presence of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) will be able to overcome the above problems because the purpose of CRM is to get the core of the unclear customer concept and put it in the application framework. One of the steps that can also be taken to deal with this problem is to utilize the technology and existing marketing concepts, namely the use of IT-based CRM (Customer Relationship Management). To be able to take advantage of this CRM needs to be built first in stages. The current condition of trading companies in the field of motorcycle sales will be explored and observations will be made on the need for services that can be provided to customers. In the process, CRM shows how marketing works and the system that is run must be able to support the company's environment with customers.
