Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of criminal sanctions in preventing corruption in Indonesia, with a legal literature-based approach. Through a normative juridical study, this research explores how the application of criminal sanctions, both repressive and preventive, can affect the incidence of corruption. This research also explores the legal reform efforts needed to create a more effective law enforcement system. The results show that the main obstacles to the effectiveness of criminal sanctions are weak supervision and inconsistency in the application of the law, which has implications for the low deterrent effect. The study also reveals the importance of synergy between strict criminal threats and prevention strategies based on anti-corruption education values to build a strong legal culture. From a comparative law perspective, the study suggests the adoption of best practices from other countries, such as Singapore and Norway, to strengthen corruption eradication efforts. Thus, this study provides important insights for policy makers and law enforcers to optimize the function of criminal sanctions as an effective prevention tool.

Abstract

Community-based conservation has become an important strategy to preserve the environment and improve the socio-economic welfare of local communities. This research aims to analyze the role of local communities in natural resource management as well as the factors that influence the effectiveness of community-led conservation initiatives. Using a literature review approach, this research evaluates how active community involvement in conservation can improve ecological and economic resilience. The results show that community-based conservation practices, such as forest management and sustainable ecotourism, are able to maintain biodiversity and provide economic benefits to local communities. The integration of traditional knowledge and scientific approaches has been shown to improve the effectiveness of natural resource management. Many challenges remain, including limited resources, lack of legal recognition, and economic pressures that can hinder the sustainability of conservation programs. More supportive policies, such as recognizing community ownership rights to conservation areas and providing economic incentives, are needed to ensure the sustainability of these initiatives. Partnerships between communities, government, non-governmental organizations and the private sector can strengthen communities' capacity to manage natural resources sustainably. With the right support, community-based conservation can be an effective solution to achieve a balance between environmental protection and improved community welfare.

Abstract

Social stereotypes, both positive and negative, play an important role in shaping individual perceptions and interactions between groups in society. These stereotypes often limit social, educational, and employment opportunities for stereotyped individuals, exacerbate social inequalities, and increase discrimination. In an educational perspective, for example, stereotypes can hinder individual academic performance, especially in minority groups that are stereotyped as less capable. In the world of work, stereotypes can also affect the selection and promotion process so that stereotyped groups are often overlooked even though they have equivalent qualifications. In addition, social stereotypes exacerbate social polarization by creating greater gaps between groups and hindering the process of fairer social integration. For this reason, it is important to understand how social stereotypes can affect individual opportunities and well-being and how they contribute to existing social inequalities. This article proposes an education-based approach and inclusive policies to reduce the negative impact of social stereotypes, which is expected to encourage more positive interactions between groups and improve existing gaps in society. This study identifies the importance of deconstructing social stereotypes to create a more inclusive, fair, and equal society.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has a significant impact on human life, both in economic, social and cultural aspects. Without a clear implementation of ethics and social responsibility, technology innovation can lead to various problems, such as privacy violations, algorithmic bias, digital inequality, and resource exploitation. This research highlights the importance of integrating ethical values in technology to ensure that innovations provide equitable and sustainable benefits to society. Through a literature review approach, this research examines the main challenges in the implementation of technology ethics as well as strategies that can be applied to overcome these problems. The results of research show that strict regulations, transparency in technology development, and increased digital literacy are key factors to create an ethical and socially responsible technology ecosystem. Collaboration between the government, private sector and civil society is needed to build ethical standards that can keep pace with dynamic technological developments. Awareness of the social impact of technology should also be raised through education and public involvement in technology ethics discussions. With a comprehensive approach, technology can develop as a tool that supports the advancement of civilization without compromising moral principles and social justice. The integration of ethics in technological innovation is not just an option, but a necessity to create a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Abstract

Continuous training for teachers is one way to improve their pedagogical skills and the quality of their teaching. However, supporting factors such as a lack of follow-up after training can affect the effectiveness of the implementation of knowledge gained by teachers in the classroom learning process. This study aims to examine the extent to which a lack of support and follow-up affects the use and application of skills gained in training by teachers. This study was conducted using a literature study approach, analyzing various previous studies regarding the effect of post-training support on teaching practices. The results of the study indicate that without follow-up and ongoing support, teachers tend to have difficulty implementing new knowledge in dynamic classroom situations. Limitations in access to mentoring or communities of practice as well as inadequate evaluation hinder teachers from reflecting on and adjusting the teaching strategies they have learned. For this reason, it is recommended that educational institutions provide continued support for teachers, such as mentoring, learning communities, and ongoing evaluation to improve the effectiveness of learning and the quality of teaching. With consistent support, it is hoped that teachers will be able to make optimal use of training, improve the quality of teaching, and, ultimately, student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Technological advancements have driven significant transformations in healthcare, particularly through the adoption of telemedicine and digital medical devices. These technologies enable wider access to medical services, improve health system efficiency, and speed up diagnosis and treatment. Studies show that telemedicine has overcome geographical barriers and expanded the reach of healthcare services, especially for people in remote areas. In addition, the use of digital-based medical devices has improved monitoring of patient conditions and supported more accurate medical decision-making. However, the implementation of medical technology still faces various challenges. Limited digital infrastructure in some regions hinders the widespread implementation of telemedicine. In addition, the access inequality between socio-economic groups remains a significant issue, as not all individuals have access to adequate digital devices. Non-uniform regulations also slow down the adoption of this technology, especially in the aspects of data protection and legal approval. This research highlights the opportunities and challenges in the application of medical technology and the strategies that can be employed to optimize its benefits. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for policymakers and health practitioners to develop a more inclusive and sustainable technology-based healthcare system.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of a school culture that does not support collaboration on the learning opportunity gap between students with different social and academic backgrounds. A school culture that prioritizes individual competition and does not encourage cooperation between students has the potential to exacerbate inequalities in learning. In such an environment, students from weaker social or academic backgrounds often do not get an equal opportunity to interact and learn together with more fortunate students. As a result, they become isolated and lose opportunities to improve their academic understanding, which further widens the gap in academic achievement. This research highlights the importance of creating a culture that supports collaboration in the classroom, which can provide greater opportunities for all students, including those who are marginalized, to learn together and share knowledge with each other. Collaboration between students is the key to reducing this inequality and improving the overall quality of learning. Schools need to adopt a more inclusive approach, one that prioritizes collaboration and cooperation among students to facilitate more equitable and equitable learning opportunities. In addition, it is important for teachers to be involved in training on how to support collaborative learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Technology has become a key instrument for improving access to education and health services for the poor. Innovations in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have opened up new opportunities to overcome geographical and economic barriers that have been major obstacles to obtaining essential services. Online learning platforms enable students from different economic backgrounds to access quality education without location restrictions. Telemedicine and digital health applications have made it easier for the poor to obtain medical services without having to face distance and transportation costs. The effectiveness of technology in poverty alleviation is highly dependent on the readiness of infrastructure, the level of digital literacy, and regulations that support the inclusiveness of technology access. The main challenges faced include limited internet networks in remote areas, digital literacy gaps, and high technology adoption costs for low-income communities. A comprehensive policy strategy is needed, including the development of digital infrastructure, improving technological literacy, and economic incentives for inclusive and sustainable technological innovation. Collaboration between the government, private sector, and non-governmental organizations is a key factor to ensure that technology can be implemented equitably. Optimal utilization of technology can contribute to poverty alleviation, improving quality of life, and achieving sustainable development goals.
