Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of peer pressure on risky behavior decision making in adolescents, as well as factors that can strengthen or reduce this influence. Peer pressure is often the main factor in adolescents' decisions to engage in risky behavior, such as smoking, consuming alcohol, and unsafe sexual behavior. This study uses a literature review approach by analyzing various related references, both social and psychological theories and relevant previous research. The results of the study show that the need for adolescents to be accepted into their social groups and the influence of social anxiety can reinforce peer pressure. However, individual factors such as self-esteem, self-control, and positive family and environmental support can reduce the negative impact of group pressure. In addition, involvement in extracurricular activities and strong relationships with parents have also been shown to be important in reducing the tendency for adolescents to engage in risky behavior. This study concludes that although peer pressure can greatly influence adolescent behavior, reinforcing factors in their lives can help reduce this impact. Therefore, it is important for parents, educators, and the community to create an environment that supports the positive development of adolescents.

Abstract

Mentoring programs in higher education have an important role in students' career development and their readiness for work. However, one of the problems that often occurs is the lack of structured evaluation of the program, which can have a significant impact on the effectiveness and achievement of students' career development goals. Without clear and systematic evaluation, universities cannot identify problems that arise during the program, such as mismatches between mentor and mentee expectations, or obstacles in communication and time. In addition, limited evaluation also hinders continuous improvement and optimization of mentoring programs, which in turn can affect the quality of mentoring relationships and the job readiness of students. This study aims to analyze the impact of the lack of structured evaluation on mentoring programs in higher education and provide recommendations on the importance of implementing continuous evaluation to ensure that the career development goals of students are achieved. Based on the results of the analysis, it is recommended that universities design a comprehensive evaluation system, involve mentors and mentees in the assessment, and ensure that improvements are made based on the evaluation results to improve the quality of the program. Thus, mentoring programs are expected to be more effective in supporting students' career development and preparing them for success in the world of work.

Abstract

Advances in medical technology have brought about a transformation in the global health system by improving service efficiency and expanding access to healthcare. The application of technology such as telemedicine, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has enabled the optimization of healthcare resources, reduction of patient waiting times, as well as improved diagnosis accuracy. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of medical technology to improve the efficiency of the healthcare system as well as its role in reducing disparities in healthcare access. Using a literature review approach, this research identifies the key benefits of medical technology, implementation challenges, as well as solutions to improve its effectiveness. The results show that while medical technology has contributed to improving access to services for previously hard-to-reach groups, there are still barriers such as uneven infrastructure, limited digital literacy, and policy and regulation challenges. A more targeted strategy is needed to support the widespread adoption of medical technology, including investment in digital infrastructure, inclusive health services, and improved education for medical personnel and the public. With a more comprehensive approach, medical technology can play a more optimal role in creating a more efficient, inclusive, and sustainable health system

Abstract

Globalization has brought significant changes to local cultural identity, both in the form of challenges and opportunities. This study aims to analyze the impact of globalization on the preservation of local culture and the role of digital technology in strengthening or weakening cultural identity in modern society. This literature review examines various findings from reputable international journals to understand the dynamics of interaction between local and global cultures. The results of the study show that globalization can accelerate the erosion of local culture due to the dominance of a stronger global culture through the mass media, lifestyle, and increasingly uniform social values. The loss of local languages, the decline in traditional cultural practices, and changes in the education system that do not emphasize the importance of local cultural identity are major challenges in cultural preservation. However, globalization also opens up opportunities for cultural revitalization through localization strategies, digital nationalism, and the use of digital technology to document and disseminate local cultural heritage. The use of social media, digital platforms, and virtual reality technology has proven effective in increasing the awareness and involvement of the younger generation in local culture. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of policy strategies that support cultural preservation by utilizing technology as the main tool to maintain cultural heritage in the midst of increasingly strong globalization.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought about fundamental changes in the pattern of social interaction in the modern era. Technology allows communication to be faster, wider and more efficient, but it also poses challenges in maintaining the quality of authentic social relationships. This research aims to analyze how technology affects social interactions, the negative impact it has on interpersonal relationships, and the role of technology in shaping social relationships in the future. Literature study is used as the research approach by reviewing various academic sources from reputable international journals. The results show that digital technology has accelerated communication, but also reduced emotional depth in social interactions. Dependence on digital communication leads to decreased social skills, increased social isolation, and the formation of information bubbles that narrow individuals' social horizons. Artificial intelligence algorithms, virtual reality and social media are expected to further shape the dynamics of social relationships in the future, potentially strengthening connectedness but also increasing social fragmentation. To optimize the role of technology in social relations, policies are needed that encourage a balance between digital and in-person interactions. Digital education as well as technology design that supports deeper social engagement can help maintain the quality of interpersonal relationships. With the right approach, technology can remain a tool that enriches social relationships without sacrificing the essence of deep emotional connections

Abstract

A highly competitive and saturated market creates a major challenge for enterprises to maintain continuous innovation and consistency in product quality. Innovation is the key to creating relevant and attractive products, but it often faces the dilemma of the need to maintain high quality. In addition, limited resources for research and development (R&D), as well as intense competition, mean that enterprises must be careful to allocate their limited funds and resources to create innovations that are not only new but also of high quality. Other challenges include efficient supply chain management, managing the risks associated with new product launches, and the difficulty of adapting to rapid changes in consumer preferences. In these conditions, a culture of innovation that supports experimentation and the courage to take risks, as well as effective communication between departments, is an important factor in maintaining quality consistency and innovation. Enterprises that are able to maintain a balance between quality and innovation, while continuing to adapt to market needs, will be better able to survive and thrive in saturated markets. This research provides important insights for enterprises to overcome existing challenges and formulate effective strategies to maintain competitiveness in competitive markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership styles applied in pesantren on the implementation of a culture of discipline among santri (pesantren students) and the challenges faced by pesantren in maintaining a culture of discipline amid social and technological developments. Pesantren as religious educational institutions have characteristics that prioritize discipline as a basic value. The leadership style applied by the pesantren leader, whether authoritarian or democratic, can influence the extent to which discipline is applied in the life of the santri. However, increasingly open social change and the rapid development of technology, especially in terms of the use of social media, are a major challenge to maintaining a culture of discipline. The uncontrolled use of technology often disrupts the concentration and focus of santri, while changes in the mindset of the younger generation, who are more open to freedom, also risk reducing the level of discipline. This study shows that pesantren must be able to adapt their leadership style to the times, without sacrificing the values of discipline that have long been the basis of pesantren life. Therefore, a more flexible approach is needed to manage technology and foster relationships between pesantren leaders and students. In conclusion, discipline management in pesantren requires a balance between firmness and an approach that prioritizes humanitarian values and adaptation to the challenges of the times.
