Abstract

Abstract

In the era of Industry 5.0, where human-centric innovation and advanced technologies intersect, leadership plays a critical role in shaping sustainable employee engagement. This study explores how transformational leadership—through its core dimensions of inspirational motivation, individualized consideration, intellectual stimulation, and idealized influence—drives engagement in digitally augmented work environments. Using a qualitative research design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 15 professionals across technology-intensive organizations. Thematic analysis revealed that transformational leaders foster emotional resonance, developmental support, and cognitive challenge, which are essential for engagement in hybrid and AI-integrated workplaces. Additionally, the digital context emerged as a moderating layer that influences the effectiveness of leadership behaviors. The findings suggest that Leadership 4.0, when grounded in transformational principles, serves as a strategic enabler for building trust, innovation, and resilience among employees. This study contributes to leadership theory in the context of Industry 5.0 and provides practical insights for organizations seeking to enhance workforce engagement through empathetic and adaptive leadership.

Abstract

Organizational culture has become an important element to determine the success of organizations in various sectors. This research aims to analyze the relationship between organizational culture and organizational performance through a comprehensive literature review. With reference to key theories such as Schein's model, Denison, and Barney's competitive framework, this study explores the influence of culture on innovation, employee engagement, and adaptation to changes in the business environment. The analysis shows that a strong organizational culture that is relevant to operational needs can improve performance through various mechanisms, such as strengthening organizational identity, encouraging innovation, and building collaborative relationships across departments. However, challenges such as resistance to change, cultural gaps, and external pressures add complexity to managing organizational culture. Across sectors, culture performs different strategic functions, from driving efficiency in manufacturing to strengthening the culture of innovation in the technology sector. This research concludes that organizational culture becomes an internal element, and a strategic tool to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. Organizations that are able to leverage their culture adaptively and innovatively have a greater chance of surviving and thriving in the global market.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of a school culture that does not support collaboration on the learning opportunity gap between students with different social and academic backgrounds. A school culture that prioritizes individual competition and does not encourage cooperation between students has the potential to exacerbate inequalities in learning. In such an environment, students from weaker social or academic backgrounds often do not get an equal opportunity to interact and learn together with more fortunate students. As a result, they become isolated and lose opportunities to improve their academic understanding, which further widens the gap in academic achievement. This research highlights the importance of creating a culture that supports collaboration in the classroom, which can provide greater opportunities for all students, including those who are marginalized, to learn together and share knowledge with each other. Collaboration between students is the key to reducing this inequality and improving the overall quality of learning. Schools need to adopt a more inclusive approach, one that prioritizes collaboration and cooperation among students to facilitate more equitable and equitable learning opportunities. In addition, it is important for teachers to be involved in training on how to support collaborative learning in the classroom.
