Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges in internalizing the historical values of Islamic education (SPI) in the learning activities of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students at the Hasanuddin Islamic Institute (IAIH) in Pare. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies of PAI students selected purposively. The results of the interviews revealed several major challenges in internalizing SPI values, including the emergence of an individualistic culture among students, low intrinsic motivation to deepen SPI values, and the influence of globalization that hinders the process of instilling values. The research findings indicate that although students have understood SPI values cognitively, internalization in the form of honesty, responsibility, discipline, and spirituality still faces significant obstacles. This study recommends strengthening the guidance system, optimizing the campus environment, and innovating value-based learning methods to optimize the internalization of SPI values in the learning activities of PAI students at IAIH in Pare.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of simple teaching aids on student activeness in science learning at the junior high school level. The background of the research arises from the low level of student participation in science classes, which are still dominated by lecture-based instruction. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving seventh- and eighth-grade students at SMPN 15 Bengkulu City. Data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model. The findings indicate that the use of simple teaching aids such as real plants, organ illustrations, microscopes, and mannequins successfully enhances various forms of student activeness, including observing, questioning, discussing, using tools, and drawing conclusions from observations. Levels of activeness varied between classes depending on the type of teaching aid and the complexity of the material; seventh-grade students tended to show higher verbal and observational engagement, while eighth graders demonstrated more motoric and cognitive involvement. The use of simple teaching aids was proven to make science learning more concrete, interactive, and aligned with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. The study concludes that simple teaching aids play an important role in improving student activeness and the overall quality of science learning. These findings may serve as recommendations for science teachers in designing more meaningful and student-centered instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of center-based learning in kindergarten institutions located in Tebo Tengah District. This research employed a qualitative approach, focusing on data related to the administration of the center learning model, the stages of center learning, the implementation of center activities, and children’s developmental progress achieved through the learning process. The objects of this study consisted of two institutions in one district, namely TK Al-Azhar Tebo and TK Alhimmah Muara Tebo. The subjects included teachers, principals, and students. Data collection techniques involved passive participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the kindergartens in Tebo Tengah District implement center-based learning using the three play scaffolding stages: pre-play scaffolding, during-play scaffolding, and post-play scaffolding. However, each institution shows differences in the execution of center learning, time allocation, and teacher assignments.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the difficulties experienced by fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 90 Sampulungan in identifying the main idea of a paragraph. The research subjects consisted of 28 students, including 11 boys and 17 girls. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, tests, and interviews. The findings reveal that most students still struggle to identify the main idea, particularly in distinguishing main sentences from supporting details, limited vocabulary mastery, and a tendency to guess the main idea without comprehensively understanding the text. These challenges contribute to low learning outcomes, with only a small number of students able to correctly determine the main idea. The discussion highlights that both internal factors (reading comprehension ability, vocabulary, and concentration) and external factors (instructional strategies and limited learning media) contribute to students’ difficulties. Therefore, innovative teaching strategies, diverse learning media, and strengthened learning motivation are needed to optimally improve students’ reading literacy skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss how to apply legal protection to child drug abusers and how legal policies are applied to child perpetrators. This study uses a normative legal research type and data collection through literature and reviewing existing laws. The results of the study indicate that if a child is proven to have committed drug abuse, the criminal procedure that applies to him is diversion, or a special criminal process for children, because its nature is different from general criminalization; with procedural steps like this, it certainly makes the Indonesian state proven to always prioritize the interests of children by not equating their criminal rights with adults.

Abstract

Early marriage is a marriage performed by individuals who have not reached the legal minimum age. This phenomenon remains a social and public health problem in Indonesia due to its various negative impacts, particularly for women, such as the risk of pregnancy complications, anemia, psychological disorders, and educational and economic barriers. Midwifery students, as future health workers, play a crucial role in educating the public about the dangers of early marriage. However, the effectiveness of this role is greatly influenced by their level of knowledge. This review aims to determine the level of knowledge among adolescents regarding the risks of early marriage. The method used in this study was a literature review. Journal searches were conducted on the Google Scholar article portal, PubMed, and databases. The inclusion criteria were journals published between 2020 and 2025, using the keywords "Description," "Adolescent Knowledge," and "Risks of Early Marriage." The literature search resulted in three journals reviewed in this study. The review of these three journals revealed that adolescents' knowledge was predominantly in the poor category. The dominant factors in adolescent knowledge according to the review results of the 3 journals are the respondent's source of information, age, family environment, interests and the individual himself.

Abstract

This community engagement initiative aims to build students’ understanding, skills, and awareness regarding the proper management of used cooking oil by converting it into aromatherapy candles. In many households, used cooking oil is commonly discarded in ways that harm the environment, such as pouring it into waterways or soil. To address this issue, the program introduced a series of activities consisting of preliminary observations, informational sessions, and practical workshops. Through these stages, students learned about the environmental risks associated with improper disposal and explored the potential of transforming used oil into useful and marketable products. The outcomes indicate a notable improvement in students’ knowledge and hands-on abilities, particularly in filtering, refining, blending materials, and molding aromatherapy candles. The final products showed good stability, appealing fragrances, and varied forms based on students’ creativity. Beyond increasing environmental awareness, the program also supports the development of simple entrepreneurial opportunities through waste-based innovations. Overall, this activity demonstrates an effective approach to environmental education that combines practical experience with sustainable creativity.

Abstract

The quality of student character in the digital era has experienced a decline, as evidenced by the weakening of manners, discipline, and academic integrity. This situation highlights the need for an approach to learning management that not only focuses on cognitive aspects but also emphasizes values of etiquette. This study aims to describe a values-based learning management model as a foundation for character development among university students. By employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with lecturers and students, as well as analysis of course syllabi. The research findings reveal that the values-based learning management model encompasses four components: values-oriented planning, implementation of learning that emphasizes exemplary behavior, humanistic and polite classroom interaction management, and character evaluation integrated with academic assessment. This model has been shown to have a positive impact on enhancing student discipline, integrity, and communication ethics. The study recommends the integration of values of etiquette into the curriculum and policies of higher education institutions to strengthen student character comprehensively.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the nature of Science, Technology, and Arts (IPTEKS) from an Islamic perspective, including its definition, the interrelationship among its components, as well as its roles and contributions to human life. In Islamic thought, IPTEKS is not merely understood as an instrument for worldly advancement but also as a means of drawing closer to Allah SWT. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating spiritual values with the development of science and technology so that progress does not contradict the moral, ethical, and environmental sustainability principles taught in Islam. The method used in this research is library research, analyzing various relevant national and international literature sources, including books, scientific articles, journals, and digital references. The findings indicate that Islam strongly encourages its followers to seek knowledge, advance technology, and produce artistic works, as long as these efforts bring benefit, do not harm the environment, and remain within the framework of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The rapid escalation of the Industrial Revolution has positioned digital transformation as a strategic imperative across industries, significantly influencing the fundamental reorientation of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices. This study aims to provide a comparative analysis of how digitalization—particularly through the adoption of Industrial 4.0–based Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)—enhances the effectiveness of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) functions. Using a systematic literature review and qualitative descriptive analysis, this research synthesizes conceptual frameworks, functional impacts, and implementation challenges. The results indicate that HRIS 4.0 functions as a transformative infrastructural bridge that requires integration within a holistic framework aligned with the efficiency demands of Industry 4.0 and the human-centered principles of Society 5.0. Core SHRM functions have undergone significant metamorphosis due to advancements in AI and data analytics, contributing to operational improvements—particularly enhancing recruitment efficiency by up to 67%. Nevertheless, implementation challenges persist, including digital skill gaps and data security risks. Therefore, sustaining SHRM effectiveness in this era requires the ethical alignment of HRIS 4.0, positioning HR professionals—especially HR Business Partners (HRBPs)—as strategic catalysts who leverage AI-driven strategies while maintaining a strong focus on human capability development and value creation.
