Abstract

The results of the study showed that most students understood the main points of the teachings of the faith well, although there were some students who still had difficulty in understanding more abstract concepts, such as destiny and faith in angels. The dominant lecture method used in learning tends to be less effective in facilitating student understanding. However, more interactive approaches such as group discussions have proven to be more effective in improving their understanding. In addition, students' understanding is also influenced by the diversity of social and religious backgrounds. More applicative learning, such as case studies or project-based learning, is recommended to improve students' understanding and connect the faith material with daily life. This research provides important insights on ways to increase the effectiveness of PAI learning at MTS Miftahul Jannah and enrich students' understanding of the Islamic faith.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of aqidah (faith) and akhlak (morality) values in the learning process at SMP Nuruljadid, Paiton, Probolinggo, and their impact on the character formation of ninth-grade students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews with teachers and students, as well as documentation related to the curriculum and teaching materials. The findings indicate that the teaching of aqidah and akhlak at SMP Nuruljadid is carried out using a contextual approach that emphasizes the application of religious values in everyday life. Teachers deliver the material through lectures, discussions, and direct interactions that engage students in understanding and applying these values. Interviews with teachers revealed challenges in delivering aqidah and akhlak content, particularly due to the influence of social media, which often contradicts religious values. On the other hand, students felt that this learning had a positive impact on their character development, although some admitted to facing difficulties in consistently applying the values outside of the school environment. The study concludes that the learning of aqidah and akhlak at SMP Nuruljadid significantly contributes to the formation of students’ noble character, despite ongoing external challenges. This research provides insights for the development of more effective Islamic religious education in other schools.

Abstract

This research discusses truth that can be proven through inductivism theory. The questions in this research include aspect of what is truth? what is theory of inductivism? and how inductivism theory works in proving truth?. This research uses qualitative methods to explore the meaning of the text. The primary sources are books about truth and inductivism theory such as Paul Wahana's Philosophy of Science, then secondary data as support such as articles related to truth and inductivism theory. This research focuses on analyzing inductivism theory in proving truth. This article tries to explore the position of truth through inductivism theory. Can it be proven to be true? And how inductivism theory proves it. It turns out that the analysis of inductivism theory in proving truth or forming knowledge through scientific methods contains many criticisms. However, this criticism must be seen as a guide to finding alternative solutions to overcome the weaknesses of induction. Criticism of induction can also be interpreted as a form of criticism of science as a whole. The limitations of the induction method in science reveal that scientific truth is not the only type of truth that exists.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Akidah Akhlak material taught in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTS) classes VII, VIII, and IX, with a focus on relevance, quality, and implementation in the formation of student character. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, through observation, interviews, and documentation studies in several MTS. The results of the study indicate that the Akidah Akhlak material has a strategic role in instilling Islamic values and noble morals in students. However, there are challenges in its implementation, such as the lack of innovative learning media, time constraints, and differences in student backgrounds. In addition, the learning approach that is still textual and less contextual causes students to have difficulty in understanding and internalizing the values taught. Learning evaluation that emphasizes more on cognitive aspects is also an obstacle in assessing the extent to which students practice the values of faith and morals in their lives. Therefore, a more contextual approach and the use of technology in delivering materials are needed to improve the effectiveness of learning. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a better curriculum and learning strategies for Faith and Morals in madrasas.

Abstract

Floods have often occurred in Indonesia recently, causing a number of damages that require people to evacuate or live in emergency places for a while. One of them is in Dorang Village, not only damage to housing, natural disasters also cause damage to social infrastructure at the disaster site which hampers victims' access to sources of food needs. Food insecurity that occurs after a disaster can be overcome by processing emergency food which is expected to meet the nutritional needs of people in disaster-affected areas, especially during panic periods when public kitchens are not operating properly. The purpose of this study was to analyze pre-disaster flood mitigation based on emergency food processing in Dorang Village, Nalumsari, Jepara. Researchers used data collection methods of observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study show that emergency food processing is an appropriate way of pre-flood disaster mitigation when infrastructure is hampered and an alternative way to meet food needs during a disaster.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has transformed education, particularly in technical drawing, requiring students to develop ICT literacy, social skills, and active engagement. However, many students face challenges in mastering ICT tools and collaborative skills, impacting their academic performance. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design to analyze the relationships between student engagement, ICT literacy, social skills, and student performance. A Likert-scale questionnaire was distributed to 91 technical drawing students at Yogyakarta State University, and the data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS method. The results show that student engagement is the most influential factor in improving academic performance, followed by ICT literacy and social skills. Active student engagement enhances ICT literacy, which supports collaboration and boosts learning outcomes. Social skills, while less directly impactful, facilitate teamwork, which is crucial for technical drawing projects. This study emphasizes the need for integrated learning approaches combining engagement strategies, ICT literacy development, and social skill enhancement through digital tools and collaborative projects. These findings contribute to curriculum development, ensuring students are equipped to meet Industry 4.0 demands.

Abstract

Abstract : The debate between realism and instrumentalism in the philosophy of science has become one of the central topics concerning the nature of scientific truth and the relationship between scientific theories and reality. These two approaches offer contrasting perspectives on the role of scientific theories: realism views scientific theories as accurate representations of an objective world, while instrumentalism regards them merely as tools for predicting phenomena without making ontological claims about their truth. This study employs a literature review and conceptual analysis to compare the realist and instrumentalist viewpoints in the philosophy of science and to identify the uncertainty of truth that arises between them. The aim of this research is to understand the uncertainty of truth within the debate between realism and instrumentalism and its relevance to the development of contemporary science. The findings suggest that the uncertainty of truth is not a weakness of science, but rather an essential feature that allows for the growth and revision of theories. This article aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamics of the philosophy of science and its implications for scientific practice in the modern era.
