Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian minyak Mandar yang ditambahkan bubuk daun sukun (Arthocarpus altilis) terhadap penurunan kadar kolesterol mencit (Mus musculus). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, Kelompok 1 yaitu kelompok mencit hanya diberi pakan standar (kontrol negatif), kelompok 2 adalah kelompok mencit diberi pakan kolesterol (kontrol positif), kelompok 3 adalah kelompok mencit diberi pakan standar dan minyak mandar, dan kelompok 4 adalah kelompok mencit diberi pakan standar dan minyak ditambahkan bubuk daun sukun. Kadar kolesterol di ukur sebanyak 3 kali yaitu setelah masa adaptasi, 2 minggu setelah pemberian minyak, dan 2 minggu setelah pemberian pakan kolesterol. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa tahap awal kadar kolesterol semua perlakuan tidak berbeda nyata terhadap kontrol negatif. Namun, pada tahap akhir menunjukkan minyak yang diberi bubuk daun sukun tidak berbeda nyata dengan kelompok kontrol negatif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penambahan bubuk daun sukun (Arthocarpus altilis) (0,9 gram) pada minyak goreng olahan tradisional asal Mandar memberikan pengaruh terhadap kadar kolesterol mencit (Mus musculus).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek tonikum pada mencit dan menentukan pada konsentrasi berapa dapat memberikan efek tonikum yang optimum. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ekstrak Daun Ceguk (Quisqualis indica L.) pada konsentrasi 5% b/v, 10% b/v dan 15% b/v pada metode ketahanan berenang menunjukkan efek tonikum pada mencit (Mus musculus). Ekstrak Daun Ceguk pada konsentrasi 15% b/v menunjukkan efek tonikum yang paling baik pada mencit dengan menggunakan metode ketahanan berenang, tetapi efeknya masih lebih kecil daripada pemberian kafein sebagai pembanding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (i) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar dan ada-tidaknya perbedaan peningkatan motivasi belajar biologi peserta didik kelas VIII MTsN Model Negeri Makassar sesudah diajar dengan menggunakan kooperatif tipe STAD dan MPBK berbasis TIK.. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Data motivasi belajar biologi peserta didik, didapatkan dengan menggunakan angket motivasi. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (i) Motivasi belajar biologi peserta didik pada kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan MPBK berbasis TIK menunjukkan ada peningkatan dari Pretest kepostest berdasarkan analisis gain ternormalisasi yaitu 0,67 dan 0,68 (kategori sedang). (ii) Pada uji statistik uji-t diperoleh p-value uji-t sebesar 0,37 > 0,05, hal ini menunjukkan Ho diterima yang berarti tidak ada perbedaan peningkatan motivasi belajar biologi peserta didik pada kedua model pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan (i) Terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar biologi peserta didik pada kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan MPBK berbasis TIK. (ii) Tidak ada perbedaan peningkatan motivasi belajar biologi pada kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan MPBK berbasis TIK.. Abstract

 This study aims to determine academic achievement of biology student  PMJK/PMDK, knowing academic achievement of biology students SPMB and find the differences between academic achievement of biology students' PMJK/PMDK with SPMB. Kind of research is ex post facto research with the population are biology student whole  academic year 2008/2009 and samples include (1) Line SPMB taken by way of purposive sampling as many as 168 students of class 2005, 2006 and 2007. (2) Line PMJK taken entirely in force in 2005, 2006 and 2007 are still active that is counted 168 people. Data collection techniques using secondary data is student GPA data 2005, 2006 and 2007. GPA is calculated until the second semester academic year 2008/2009. Further data are analyzed quantitatively with percentages and inferential analysis with t test. The results of analysis of research data obtained by the average GPA of students and PMK SPMB line is 2.958 and the result t-test = 0:01, P = 0999. The research concluded that academic achievement of  biology student  PMJK/ PMDK and SPMB  is very satisfy category with average GPA = 2,958 and there was no difference academic achievement of biology student PMJK/PMDK and SPMB.

Abstract

Abstract. The emphasis on the growth of Phytophthora palmivora was important in order to reduce Pod Rot Disease of cacao (Theobrorna cacao L.) which could harm agriculture sector. Some bacteria had chitinolytic enzyme activity that is potentially used as an antifungal against Phytophthora palmivora, because the cell wall of the fungi composed of chitin. The purpose of this research was to know chitinolytic bacteria from Perna viridis shell which had higher activity of chitinase enzyme, the amount of chitinase enzyme activity of each selected isolate, and to know the effect of chitinolytic bacterial isolates from Perna viridis shell to reduce the growth of Phytophthora palmivora. The bacteria were isolated from Perna viridis shell at Depok Beach, Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta. This research was an explorative research which include bacterial characterization and experimental research which include antagonistic test of chitinolytic bacteria against Phytophthora palmivora. The chitinolytic bacteria was isolated using selective chitin agar medium by pour plate method and then screening the isolates that had chitinase enzyme activity by measuring the enzyme activity of each bacterial isolates by spectrophotometric method. Selected bacterial isolates were characterized by macroscopic, microscopic and physiological characters. The bacteria that had been selected tested for their ability to reduce the growth of Phytophthora palmivora by Kirby Bauer modification method. The result showed that there were 10 isolates that had chitinase enzyme activity which two selected isolates had the higher chitinase enzyme activity. There were 7D and 6B isolates. The isolate 7D had 1,258 u/ml chitinase enzyme activity and isolate 6B had 1,212 u/ml chitinase enzyme activity. The result of chitinolytic bacterial antagonist test on Phytophthora palmivora growth showed that both bacterial isolates were potential to antifungal Phytophthora palmivora and showed a real effect in inhibiting the growth of Phytophthora palmivora with significance value < 0,05.Keywords: Chitinolytic Bacteria, Perna viridis, Phytophthora palmivora

Abstract

This research was about the Classroom Action Research with the function for growing the activity and outcomes of learning through the ICT Questions Aplplications on learning biology. The Subject of this research was the student of class XI IPA1 SMA 1 Tellu Limpoe, the whole semester school year 2008/2009. It was about 31 students. The implementation of this research, there were two cycle. The data was getting trough 2 instruments, there were the data about the student’s activity during study process in the classroom which getting by sheet observation, and the data about the amount outcomes of learning. The data of student’s activity analyzed by qualitative analysis using the descriptive statistics. The amount of the analysis were: (1) outcomes of learning biology after the questions structural ICT in the first cycle in unsucces category are the score was about 66.32; the high score was  90.62 and the lower score 46.87 from the maximum score may be it can be reach 100; (2) In the second cycle it is in success category, it was about 73, 54 with the high score 91.43 and the lower score is 54.28 from the maximum score which may be can be reach 100. After that, it also expressed by the implementation-structured questions based on ICT, the disorder and belief in theirselves duringa the prosess of the study can be grown up.

Abstract

Abtract. The study aimed to determine the effect of different meatball enhancers on meatbel protein and to determine the effect of different meatball enhancers against meatball water content. This research was conducted in june 2018 at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries of the University of Muhammadiyah Parepare. Research using broiler chicken meat, water, flavorings, garlic, pepper, salt, egg white, carrageenan, gelatin, tissue, and ice cubes. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatment levels and three replications, namely T0 = without ingreadients, T1 = crisp egg white, T2 = crustacean, T = gelatin. The results of the study showed that with the addition of pulses that the protein content of meatballs had a very real effect and water content in meatball with the addition of different ingredients that are influential real to meatball water content. The highest average protein value to the lowest is T0 is 6.52, T2 is 6.46, T1 is 6.33, T3 is 4,15. The highest average water volues to the lowest were T1 at 63.35, T0 at 63.05, T3 at 62.58, and T2 at 62.44. From the results of the study, it is known that the best treatment and can be recommended is T2 treatment with karagenan crusher.Keywords: Proteins, water content, broiler chicken meat, egg white, carrageenan, and gelatin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pengembangan (Research and Development) dimana mengembangkan sebuah LKS biologi yang diintegrasikan dengan kurikulum Cambridge untuk tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas kelas XI semester II. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas validasi dari LKS, keberhasilan LKS dalam aktivitas pembelajaran, lembar respon siswa, dan lembar evaluasi. Pengujian dilakukan ada kelas XI IPA 4 SMA 1 Pinrang 2012/2013 yang terdiri dari 38 siswa. Pengumpulan data hasil penelitian untuk validasi produk oleh dua validator ahli dan satu validator kepraktisan (sebagai data validasi). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan valid, praktis dan efektif. Validitas dari lembar kerja siswa adalah 4,4, kepraktisan dari LKS (validator mengatakan bahwa LKS dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dengan revisi kecil, dengan keberhasilan pembelajaran sebesar 4,4). Keefektifan LKS sebesar 92,11% dan 100% siswa memberikan respon positif.

Abstract

Abstract. This study investigated a natural acid-base indicator which is extracted from plants in Kupang city. There are 14 plants that potential as a source of natural indicator for acid base titration, i.e, KolUngu (Brassica oleracea Capitata Group), Turi Merah flower (Sesbania grandiflora L. Pers), BelimbingWuluh flower (Averhoa bilimbi L), Kaktus Merah fruit (Opuntia vulgaris Mill), Ruelia flower (Ruellia simplex), Flamboyan flower (Delonix regia), bugenvil flower (Bougainvillea spectabilisWilld.), Bayam Merah leaves (Amaranthus tricolor L.) Jamblang fruit (Syzygiumcumini L.), Murbey fruit (Morus alba L.), Pinang fruit (Areca catechu L.), Sirih fruit (Piper betle L.), Kunyit (Curcuma longa Linn), and Nanas Kerang leaves (Rhoeo discolor). Plants extract shows a sharp color change in acid and base solution. Promising results as a natural indicator also shown in acid base titration which is have similar equivalent point to synthetic indicator. We can use these natural indicators as an alternative to synthetic indicator because they are found to be simple, very useful, cheap, easy to extract, accurate, and eco-friendly. Abstract

This research aim to know the comparison between the result of the student’s studying that is learned by using exchange couple type of cooperative learning model with STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) type of cooperative learning model for class VII State junior high school no 24 of Makassar. This research is included of Queasy Experimental research with post test group only design where class VII.7 as 1st experiment and class VII.8 as 2nd experiment class. This research is done in three times of learning process meeting and once evaluation test. Taking data is done by using the test of biology studying result and then analyzed descriptive and inferentially. The result is average value in the 1st experiment class is 62,35 and for  2nd experiment class is 72,38 and after hypothesis test is done with using t-test, so obtained thitung is 2,81 and ttabel 1,99. This result shows that there is difference of result student’s biology studying between the using of exchange couple type of cooperative learning model with STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) type of cooperative learning model, where the result of student’s studying that use STAD type of cooperative learning model is higher than exchange couple type of cooperative learning model.   Keywords: exchange couple type of cooperative learning model, STAD (Student Team Achievement Division), result of studying.
