Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find the effect of differences between S-Curve Runs and Sprint In-Out exercise methods against the increase of speed in 100 meters sprint; the different increases of speed in 100 meters sprints for the runners with big, medium, and small ratios of foot length and height; and the differences of interactions between S-Curve Runs and Sprint In-Out exercise methods and foot length and height ratios against the increase of speed in 100 meters sprint. This research was conducted at Chevron Football School in Pekanbaru for 8 weeks by using the experimental method of 2 x 3 factorial designs. The research population contained students of the school. Purposive Random Sampling was utilized as the sampling method included 42 students with big, medium, and small ratios of foot length and height, for each took 14 students as the samples. ANOVA was employed as the data analysis technique. Prerequisite tests of data analysis were conducted beforehand by using the sample normality test (Lilliefors Test at α = 0.05) and homogeneity of variance test (Bartlett’s Test at α = 0.05). Results of data analysis indicated that there were significant differences between S-Curve Runs and Sprint In-Out exercise methods against the increase of speed in 100 meters sprint with Fcount = 10.54758 > Ftable = 4.07 in which the effects of S-Curve Runs exercise have better improvement than Sprint In-Out exercise, with the average increases for each are 2.17 and the 1.7; there were significant differences between the runners with big, medium, and small ratios of foot length and height with Fcount = 14.16068 > Ftable = 3.22. The increase of 100 meters sprint result on samples with big ratios of foot length and height was better than samples with medium and small ratios, for each having average increase of 2:43, 1.89 and 1:51; and there was no correlation effect between the S-Curve Run and Sprint In-Out training methods and the foot length and height ratios against the increase of running speed, in which the Fcount = 0.29174 < Ftable = 3:22.

Abstract

Extracurricular participants at SMPN 1 Tanah Merah basically haven't really mastered the basic technique of overhand service correctly and well, when they first saw playing they still didn't have good arm strength, so they had difficulty doing the overhand serve, so to improve their skills top service then requires an effective and efficient training method. This study aims to determine the effect of variations of push-up exercises on upper service skills in volleyball extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Tanah Merah. This research is a quasi-experimental study using the one-group pretest-posttest design method with the top service test instrument. The data analysis technique used was the paired sample t-test, with the results of the t-test and t-table with a significant value of 0.00, t-count 24.80 > t-table 8.93 with a value of 0.00 <0.05. Thus the hypothesis states "There is an effect of variations in push-up exercises on upper service skills in the extracurricular activities of SMPN 1 Tanah Merah".

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the effect of a combination of quick feet (ladder drill) and tuck jump (plyometric) exercises on agility and speed. Quantitative research methods were used in this study with a quasi-experimental research type. The population of this study was extracurricular badminton students at SMPN 1 Jogoroto Jombang, and the sampling technique used was the purposive sampling technique. There were 24 students, and the research sample was divided into two groups with the same number: the group that was given a combination of quick feet and tuck jump (QFTJ) exercises and the group that only did conventional exercises (LK). The treatment was conducted for 18 meetings with details thrice a week for six weeks. This study used an instrument like an agility T-test to measure agility and a 30-meter sprint to measure speed. Data collection was carried out twice, namely before treatment (pretest) and after treatment (post-test). This study used paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests as data analysis techniques. The results showed that each group significantly increased agility and speed (p<0.05). However, based on the independent sample t-test, it showed that there was a significant difference between the QFTJ group and the LK group. The conclusion is that the combination of quick feet (ladder drill) and tuck jump (plyometric) exercises significantly increases agility and speed compared to conventional exercises.

Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of the circuit games learning model on students' motor skills through the motor fitness test instrument. Motoric abilities start from basic locomotor and non-locomotor movements to the occurrence of manipulative movements in students. Motoric abilities are thought to be able to develop students' movement and physical abilities. 30 students of SDN Kendalbulur I were selected consecutively to take part in the study using the circuit games learning model experiment. The research instrument used the motor fitness test. The statistical test uses an influence test using the pre and post-test format. The results showed that all motor fitness test items experienced an increase in value before and after the circuit games learning model was implemented (p <0.05). This shows that the motor skills of students have increased after learning is done. Recommendations from the results of the research are that PJOK teachers can apply game-based learning models, especially in circuit games. Furthermore, other game-based learning models are studied to be able to complement the learning model of circuit games.

Abstract

Adopting a sedentary lifestyle can elevate the likelihood of developing non-communicable illnesses like obesity and cardiovascular issues. Employees often engage in prolonged sedentary behaviour due to spending over 6 hours gazing at computer screens. This research endeavours to investigate the potential impact of mixed-impact aerobics on Body Mass Index (BMI) as well as its ability to lessen sedentary behaviour. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. Sixty individuals were chosen through purposive sampling and split into two groups, but only the experimental group consisting of 30 individuals underwent a pretest-posttest treatment that lasted for 8 weeks with a frequency of 3 treatments per week. The findings of the study indicated a significant impact on the incidence of BMI, as well as a reduction in sedentary behaviour, as evidenced by the values (p=0.001 and 0.0065 <0.05). This study shows that mixed-impact aerobic exercise has a significant effect on BMI and decreases sedentary behaviour in employees.

Abstract

The passing technique is the technique most often used in football games. Passing is a technique for passing the ball between one player and another. The problem in this study is that many passes are not on target by players so the game becomes ineffective. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of small-sided games on improving the accuracy of football passing. This research is experimental research with a matching-only design. The research sample used was 20 players from the DESEAD FC Bangkalan team aged 12-14 years. The division of the experimental and control groups will use the MSOP technique. The results of the descriptive analysis of the experimental group obtained the mean pretest and mean posttest, while for the control group the mean pretest and mean posttest. For the results of the paired sample t-test in the experimental group, the Sig. 0.000 <0.05, so there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest data. Meanwhile, in the control group Sig. 0.148 > 0.05 there was no significant difference in the pretest and posttest results of the control group. From the results of the independent sample t-test, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 <0.05 There is a significant difference between the post-test results of the experimental group and the control group. For the percentage increase in data on passing test results, the experimental group had a significant increase of 21.59%. Meanwhile, the control group did not have a significant increase of 1.53%. So it can be concluded that small-sided games training is very influential in increasing the accuracy of football passing.
