Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of knowledge of badminton extracurricular students at SMA 1 Klari on the RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation)  method in handling sports injuries. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive analysis design. Data collection through surveys uses questionnaires created in Google Forms to make it easier for respondents to distribute and fill out. The population in this study is 30 students who are members of the badminton extracurricular at SMA 1 Klari. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a sample of 20 students who met the criteria. The questionnaire consists of 20 questions, which include 15 positive statements and 5 negative statements. The scoring scale used is the Guttman scale, with a "Yes" or "No" answer option. The results showed that the level of knowledge of students varied, with 26.7% being at the high level, 53.3% at the medium level, and 20% at the low level. Most students understand the basic concepts of the RICE method, but lack the mastery of its practical applications, such as the use of "Compression" and the optimal duration of "Ice." Low knowledge is found in early-grade students, while upper-grade students have better understanding thanks to longer experience and exposure to information. Extracurricular programs need to include educational modules and injury management simulations to ensure all students can handle sports injuries optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the basketball dribbling ability of grade VI students of UPT SPF SD Negeri Paccinang through measuring kinematic parameters such as joint angle, movement speed, ball bounce height, and dribbling frequency. The approach used is quantitative with a survey method. The research sample consisted of 24 students who underwent a dribbling skills test. Data were taken through measurements using the Johnson Basketball Test instrument, which has a validity of 0.65-0.95 and a reliability of 0.84-0.97. Kinematic analysis was performed using Kinovea software to measure the position, speed, and acceleration of movement. The results showed significant variations in dribbling ability among students. For joint angles, 50% of students were in the poor category, while 45.8% were in the good category. Movement speed showed high consistency, with 91.7% of students in the moderate category. The number of students in the poor category in bounce height and dribbling frequency was 33.3% and 66.7%, respectively. This study found significant variations in ability among students, with movement speed as the most consistent parameter. Joint angles had the greatest variation, indicating the need for further attention in the development of students' dribbling techniques. This study emphasises the importance of a holistic approach in the development of basketball dribbling skills.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of diamond passing training on passing accuracy among futsal extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 2 Ngawi Taruna Indonesia. This type of research uses an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was 25 students, and the sample used was 20 students selected using a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria, each divided into 10 control groups and 10 experimental groups. The research was conducted for three months, from January to March 2025. The instrument used was a passing accuracy test using a small goal as a target. The data obtained were analysed using prerequisite tests, namely the normality test and homogeneity test, followed by hypothesis testing using the paired sample t-test. The research results show that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results, with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This proves that diamond passing practice has a significant effect on increasing students' passing accuracy. This exercise is effective in improving coordination, accuracy and speed of decision making in futsal games. Thus, diamond passing training can be used as an alternative method for practising basic passing techniques in futsal extracurricular activities in the school environment.

Abstract

Physical fitness plays a key role in supporting growth and fostering a healthy lifestyle among elementary students. However, physical education is often delivered using conventional methods that lack effectiveness in enhancing fitness levels. This study aims to identify learning models that effectively improve students' physical fitness. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PICO framework and PRISMA flow diagram, data were sourced via Publish or Perish from Google Scholar and Crossref. Keywords included “student physical fitness,” “physical education learning models,” and “teaching style in physical education.” From 1,000 initial articles, seven met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Findings reveal that models such as Project-Based Learning (PjBL), circuit games, Puzzle Run, and play-based methods significantly enhance cardio-respiratory endurance, muscular strength, agility, and motor coordination. The study concludes that active, engaging, and contextual teaching approaches are more effective than conventional methods in improving students’ physical fitness.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of volleyball underhand passing through the application of the paired ball drill method to fifth grade students of SDN Margomulyo IV. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 13 fifth grade students. The instrument used in this study was a volleyball underhand passing practice test which was carried out at each stage of the cycle to determine the increase in students' abilities. In the pre-cycle stage, only 2 students (15%) achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). After the action was carried out in cycle I, the number of students who completed increased to 9 students (69%). In cycle II, all students (100%) succeeded in achieving the KKM. These results indicate that the paired ball drill method is effective in improving students' underhand passing technique abilities, because it provides opportunities for repeated, interactive practice, and allows students to provide feedback to each other. In addition, this method also increases students' motivation, self-confidence, and active participation in PJOK learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the paired ball drill method can be used as an alternative appropriate learning strategy to improve learning outcomes for basic volleyball skills, especially underhand passing techniques in elementary school students.
