Abstract

Affective is a combination of emotions, feelings, moods, and attitudes that can affect a person from the inside. This research aims to analyse the most dominant aspect of affective factors that hamper students’ participation in English language classrooms and the causes in terms of individual affective factors such as anxiety, inhibition, introversion/extroversion, self-esteem, motivation, learning style, and relational affective factors such as empathy, cross-cultural processes and classroom transactions. This research was conducted on the tenth-grade students at MA DDI Lil-Banat Parepare. The samples of this research were 25 students selected through snowballing sampling technique. This research used a qualitative descriptive to examine the phenomenon under study critically. The instruments used in this research were observations and semi-structured interviews. This research indicates that the dominant aspect of affective factors that hamper students’ participation in English language classrooms is self-esteem. The psychological condition of low self-esteem mostly happens to the students, which occurs to 48% of the sample students. Based on the results of students’ interviews, it is found that low self-esteem was caused by pessimistic about their abilities, lack of self-confidence, and a sense of inferiority.

Abstract

Socialization of increasing student participation to continue vocational higher education through the socialization of the Sharia Finance and Banking Study Program at Jl. Rambong Sialang No.50, Firdaus, Sei Rampah District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra 2099, aims to attract students to continue their education at the university level, especially at the Politeknik Negeri Medan and the Sharia Finance and Banking Study Program. Collecting data through descriptive and qualitative data is then analyzed and processed to produce solutions to the problems faced by partners. The data collection technique was conducted by interviewing the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Sei Rampah. Data analysis techniques through descriptive analysis. The results of this report state that this socialization provides an introduction through socialization activities regarding the Introduction of the Sharia Finance and Banking Study Program of the Politeknik Negeri Medan. Abstract

PMKM Education on financial literacy and saving culture at the State Vocational High School (SMK) 7 Medan, Sitirejo II Village, Medan Amplas District, Medan City, North Sumatra, Aims to provide an understanding of Financial Literacy in daily life, the importance of saving culture for future financial planning, Overcoming excessive consumptive behavior. The school has never received education related to this material from any party. In order to run PMKM activities smoothly, the service team carried out data collection techniques by interviewing the State Vocational High School (SMK) 7 Medan, which was given by finding knowledge transfer through the Educational Seminar on Financial Literacy Education and Saving Culture. The cost of implementing PMKM activities is needed in the amount of Rp. 1,917,000.00 (One et al. Hundred and Seventeen Thousand Rupiah) and a certificate from Bank Sumut Syariah. This educational activity has shaped students' knowledge and skills about financial literacy, consumptive behavior, and saving culture until an average of 87.55% after service implementation is evidenced by a perfect understanding with a score of 100, increasing to 112 people (56%). However, the lack of educational programs that specifically discuss financial literacy, which also supports students in personal financial management and the prevention of financial problems, is a challenge that needs to be overcome. Through this activity, a joint commitment was formed between PT Bank Sumut Syariah and SMK Negeri 7 Medan to assist the student saving culture program, which is carried out regularly and form student knowledge and awareness to save and reactivate the habit of saving more broadly, creating awareness among SMK students about shared responsibility in maintaining discipline and financial responsibility

Abstract

Socialization and Education About Paylater and Online Loans at Tarbiyah Islamiyah Private Vocational Schools to Reduce Hedonistic Behavior aims to provide education about paylater, online loans, using social media wisely and managing healthy finances. In order to run PMKM activities smoothly, the service team conducted a data collection technique by interviewing the Tarbiyah Islamiyah Private Vocational School. The solution provided is to find knowledge transfer through seminars on Socialization and Education about Paylater and Online Loans at Tarbiyah Islamiyah Private Vocational Schools to reduce hedonistic behavior. The cost of implementing PMKM activities is needed at Rp.1,500,000 (one million five hundred thousand rupiah) and requires physical facilities such as infocus, Mic, Speaker and certificates for schools and students of Tarbiyah Islamiyah Private Vocational School. After carrying out community service activities in the form of training and seminars to students, the results of the service were obtained that: Challenges in educating students about the negative impact of paylater, the dangers of online loans , hedonistic behavior, and the importance of implementing healthy financial behavior, such as saving, at Tarbiyah Islamiyah Private Vocational School, have been overcome with interesting and interactive educational activities. This activity includes providing an understanding of the risks of using paylater and loans, the impact of hedonistic behavior in finance, and the importance of saving early as a step to manage finances wisely. One of the programs carried out is personal financial management and healthy financial planning training, which aims to form a positive mindset towards money and wise use of financial services. This educational activity has succeeded in increasing students' understanding of the importance of having healthy financial behavior with an average knowledge achievement result of 94% in paylater material, 91% in loan material, 87% in hedonism material, and 66% in healthy financial behavior material. However, the absence of a program that specifically addresses the threat of the dangers of consumptive behavior such as hedonism and the long-term impact of the use of paylater and loans is a challenge that needs to be overcome further. With a fun and creative approach, it is hoped that this educational activity can continue to expand awareness among students about the importance of wise financial management, as well as encourage them to be more active in implementing healthy financial behaviors, such as saving, in order to maintain their economic well-being in the future.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide an understanding of the basic steps in financial planning, managing expenses wisely, building healthy financial habits, and maintaining mental health when facing financial problems. This service uses a descriptive and qualitative approach, where the data collected is analyzed to provide solutions to the issues faced by students. After the Socialization and Education of Financial Planning for Students at SMKS Dharma Patra Pangkalan Susu, the average score of students who feel that they understand more about the importance of recording expenses in detail to manage finances, feel able to distinguish needs and desires, motivation to buy goods wisely, including waiting for a discount moment to save the costs, starting to plan expenses so that they are always smaller than their income, Committed to setting aside some money for unexpected needs or future savings is 86% of the 25 students, This shows a significant increase compared to the initial condition, which is 79%. The educational activities succeeded in overcoming two main problems faced by students, namely consumptive behavior and the impact of financial management on mental health and learning achievement. Through counseling on personal financial planning, students gain understanding and skills in managing finances wisely, managing expenses, and building healthy financial habits, which has a positive impact on increasing their financial awareness. In addition, with a holistic approach that includes material on the relationship between finances and mental health, students can also reduce stress and anxiety that disrupt mental balance and study concentration. As a result, most students feel calmer, more confident, and more motivated to face daily challenges and learn more effectively.

Abstract

Financial Literacy and Financial Inclusion Optimization Through Fintech Education in Vocational School Students is done precisely at Al-Washliyah 2 Private Vocational School, Jl. Stadium No. 2, Trading, Bandar District, Simalungun Regency Aims to provide an understanding of financial literacy towards the use of fintech which includes topics such as Definition of Financial Literacy, Importance of Financial Planning, Definition of Fintech, Difference between Legal Fintech and Illegal Fintech, Types of Fintech, The Importance of Understanding Fintech, Definition and Function of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) towards Fintech. The school has never received education related to this material from any party. To run PMKM activities smoothly, the service team carried out data collection techniques by interviewing the Al-Washliyah 2 Commerce Private Vocational School. The solution is to provide knowledge transfer through the Financial Literacy Seminar on the Use of Fintech. The cost of implementing PMKM activities is Rp—1,270,000 (one million thirty-one thousand five hundred rupiah). After carrying out community service activities in the form of training and seminars for students, the results of the service were obtained that Low Financial Literacy Against the Use of Fintech has been overcome with educational activities such as providing financial literacy education on the use of fintech which includes topics such as Definition of Financial Literacy, The Importance of Financial Planning, Definition of Fintech, Difference between Legal Fintech and Illegal Fintech, Types of Fintech, The Importance of Understanding Fintech, the Definition and Function of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) towards Fintech. This successful activity formed students' knowledge and skills about Financial Literacy Towards the Use of Fintech to reach an average score of 88.55% with a maximum knowledge of 98.20% for all participants. The absence of an educational program that specifically discusses the importance of Financial Literacy for the Use of Fintech, which also supports social science lessons in the context of economic life activities, is a challenge that needs to be overcome. To overcome this problem, 3 students have been presented who better understand Financial Literacy Towards the Use of Fintech. These 3 students are expected not only to provide an understanding to their peers about the importance of understanding related to financial literacy and fintech but also to encourage students to be more careful in managing finances and choosing fintech applications. With an interesting and creative approach, it is hoped that students can disseminate this knowledge more widely, creating awareness among students about the shared responsibility in maintaining and managing finances. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the customer perspective on food delivery service in Kuantan. Therefore, this study applied a quantitative approach and used a cross-sectional survey for data collection. The descriptive analysis study design was implemented to determine the perception of Kuantan residents towards the use of food delivery services. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire, and data were collected from Kuantan residents (N = 58) around Kuantan. The collected data were then computerised and tabulated using descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage). From the analysis, the results show that most residents agree with the use of food delivery services around Kuantan. It is always on their minds and gives a positive perception, considering that the use of the service facilitates movement and saves time for Kuantan residents. In addition, most respondents agreed that this food delivery service can influence them to buy the products offered. Therefore, food delivery services have a positive effect on the online and business environment in Kuantan because it is one of the most influential and practical means of good marketing skills.

Abstract

This research is to investigate the perception of visitors of the parking lot with a charge at Pantai Sepat. This research will investigate the number of vehicles at Pantai Sepat and identify the percentage of visitors. The target respondents for this research are teenagers, tourists and local people around there. Furthermore, the questionnaires were distributed online by using a simple random sampling technique. As a result, 50 sets of questionnaires were collected to see whether it's reasonable for us to charge for parking at Pantai Sepat. Meanwhile, the independent variable for convenience shows that there is a positive relationship with the dependent variable. Moreover, this research shows a clearer overview of whether it is reasonable for us to make a charge on the parking lot at Pantai Sepat. Lastly, the limitation of doing this research was identified, and implications for further research were recommended.

Abstract

Accommodation is one of the most important things when we go travelling because it is a place for us to stay throughout the vacation. Some people did a lot of research just to find a good place to stay. Besides that, the objective of this research is to find the biggest factors for tourists when choosing a place to stay. Then, the respondents were asked three main factors when selecting an accommodation, which are comfort, price and facilities of the accommodation. In this research, quantitative techniques were used in asking questions to the respondents through questionnaires when collecting the data. The results show that a few factors were important for tourists when selecting a place to stay.

Abstract

This study aims to explore people’s perceptions of QR code payment transactions in Kuantan. The questions were prepared using a quantitative descriptive method. The data were obtained through a Google Form. This research can be used as a reference for related parties to formulate the right strategy in increasing both the number of merchants and the use of QR for transactions in the new normal era to increase the use of digital payments and support the creation of a cashless society in Malaysia. This research shows that for question 1, 40% of the respondents answered neutral, and only 2% strongly disagreed. For question 2, This is stated by 44% of respondents answered strongly agree, and 2% strongly disagree. For question 3, the response for this particular question in the questionnaire was dominant, with which is 44% and only 6% of respondents strongly disagreed. Lastly, the majority of the respondents don’t mind using both QR codes and cash, with 36% of respondents agreeing and 0% choosing to disagree, respectively, with this statement.
