Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts made to foster student character through the literacy movement and to find out the obstacles faced in fostering character and the obstacles faced by teachers in fostering student character through the school literacy movement. This research uses a qualitative method by taking a descriptive approach. The research instrument in this study is the researcher himself by observing, asking, listening, asking and taking research data using a cellphone as a tool to record all conversations, pictures as real evidence, and a notebook that serves to record conversations with data sources or informants. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research and discussion concluded that: first, a very important aspect in fostering students' character through the school literacy movement is by providing students with reading materials containing ethical values, local, national and global wisdom, which are delivered according to the development of students, direct practice in the environment, Implementation of monitoring and evaluation of GLS (School Literacy Movement) activities using indicators of the achievement of each stage. Second, the obstacles faced include some elements in the school that are not ready to participate in literacy activities carried out to realize literacy activities, the cooperation and participation of every element in the school is important to realize quality school literacy activities. Third, the obstacles faced by teachers are at the habituation stage, development, Teachers do not understand the purpose and objectives of the School Literacy Movement, Students are difficult to manage, the room is not large enough, the library schedule, the library is not large enough, and there are not many books.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the ability of teachers in applying learning based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (Hots), the obstacles encountered by teachers and to know the efforts made by the teacher in overcoming obstacles in Applying Learning based on Hots in the State High School 2 Gunungsitoli. This research uses a descriptive approach with qualitative methods. The purpose of the use of a description approach is to find meaning that begins from the facts by performing observations recording all facts holistically scientifically with the observed problem. The research instrument used in this study was the researcher himself using his cell phones as a tool to record all the conversations, the results of images as real evidence, and a notebook that serves to record conversations with data sources or informants. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the research and discussion concluded that: First, Teacher's Ability to Apply Higher Order Thinking Skills (Hots) in Higher High Schools (State Secondary Schools) is Ability in Preparing Learning Plans, Hots-driven Learning Design Ability, Asking Questions that Drive High Level Thinking, Supporting Students in Hots Thinking Processes, and Evaluating Hots Skills. Second, The obstacles faced by Teacher PPKn in Applying Higher Orders Thinking skills (HOTS) in high schools are The deep understanding of the concept of Hots learning material is still limited, The curriculum and evaluation are not supported, The time is limited because Hots Learning often requires longer time because it involves more in-depth thinking and complex, the availability of insufficient resources such as reading, learning materials, media or technology. Thirdly, the efforts made by Master PPKn in Applying Learning Based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (Hots) overcome the obstacles of providing training and development to teachers on Hots learning concepts and strategies, further providing learning resources and learning materials that support the application of Hots as well as monitoring and evaluation of implementation of learning Hots.

Abstract

The study aims to find out the role of the village government inining stability in the village, why there are still cases of crime and how the government is dealing with crime in the Northern District of Harefa. The purpose of the descriptive approach is to describe the process of conducting research that begins with observation. The research instrument used in this study is the researcher himself using his cell phones as a tool to record all the conversations, the results of images as real evidence, and the notebook that serves to record conversations with data sources or informants. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the research and discussions concluded that: First, the role of the government of Harefa village inining the stability of the security of the village is to establish a good relationship of cooperation with the security authorities and the village people, the village government as a facilitator to resolve the crime cases that occurred, the three government of village sanctions for the perpetrators of crimes are either customary sanctions or government sanctions. And the four heads of village as the leader in the village will try their best to create security for the people. And the third effort of the village government in dealing with crime cases is to start from itself to create security, the second to socialize about order and security, and the third village government will provide aid to the people.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze students' needs when participating in English language learning. The object of research was carried out on 96 students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten with data analysis techniques using research methods used quantitative methods with survey methods of descriptive statistical data analysis. The results showed that 53 students (55.2%) were enthusiastic and happy to learn English. Then from the analysis of English learning needs that are expected there are 75.8% stating that speaking English is the most needed ability. Of the four aspects studied, students consider that listening, writing and reading skills are still needed only for academic purposes and do not feel these three aspects are necessary and support their professional careers.

Abstract

Abstract contains research This research aims to 1) find out the whereabouts of graduates (alumni) and establish continuous communication with economic education alumni, 2) identify competency and skill profiles of graduates, 3) find out the relevance of curriculum implementation to labor market needs . This skill and performance relevance analysis study is a qualitative descriptive research, because the problems discussed in this research are not related to numbers, but are related to describing, breaking down and illustrating a problem that is currently occurring. The population of this research is all alumni of economic education study programs from various classes and all companies/institutions/agencies, both state and private, where the alumni work. The sample in this research are alumni who can be contacted face to face or virtually. Data collection was carried out by distributing tracer study questionnaires directly to alumni by: (a) sending questionnaires to the address where the alumni work; (b) distribute questionnaires directly to alumni when there are alumni activities; (c) distribute the tracer study questionnaire link to alumni. Data is analyzed to obtain information from alumni and graduate users. This data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The data analyzed includes aspects as explained in the questionnaire. The results of the analysis will be used to make improvements to the management system of the Economic Education Study Program.

Abstract

A common problem with Madrasah learning systems is the inadequate quality of their educational programmes, which prompted this study. The purpose of this research is to shed light on how SMK Al Karimah Bodak used discussion approaches to enhance PAI learning outcomes in an effort to improve students' poor performance in the subject. Qualitative methods are used, with data collected via observation and questionnaires. Previous studies have shown that lecturing with question and answer sections is the most effective way for instructors to use PAI in the classroom. The small group discussion approach is used in this learning process. Affective students may absorb information effectively, and psychomotor students can be psychologically actively engaged in lecture-based learning outcomes, in terms of cognitive growth. At the third meeting, students' cognitive learning results in discussion-based classrooms started to decline. Students are able to take an active role in psychomotor learning and to receive information effectively in the emotional learning domain.

Abstract

This research aims to create an information system for purchasing goods on an Android mobile-based e-shop application. Android mobile-based e-shop applications have various advantages, such as making stock management, sales and bookkeeping easier. Additionally, integration with online payments and transaction tracking can improve operational efficiency. The system development method used is Waterfall with an SDLC approach. This research produces an information system for purchasing goods on an Android mobile-based e-shop application, namely dashboard menu, login menu, register menu, about menu, stock of goods, transactions and report menu.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to analyze of students’ mastery in using preposition (in, on and at) and also concerned the problems faced for students’ mastery on using preposition (in, on and at). This research used qualitative research. The writer chose the Eleventh Grade students of SMKN 1 Bangkinang kota. The respondents are 36 students. Based on the result of the test, the writer conclude that the profile of students’ mastery such as: 3 students out of 36 students the level of preposition mastery is “good” and the percentage is 8,3%, 11 students or out of 36 students is “enough” and the percentage 30,5%, 21 students or out of 36 students is “poor” and the percentage is 58,3%, and 1 students or out of 36 students is “Failed” and the percentage is 2,7%”. The problems faced of students’ mastery are: the students confused to answer the question on using preposition (in, on, and at). They do not understand the differences of each preposition. Because it has similar meaning. Which explain the time and place. Students are less concerned when they to use in, on or at because they think it is less attention when talking directly. The problem that is caused by the language transfer. In contrary, this study concern with that rules. And they usually used generalization or ordinary usage without saw the context of sentence.

Abstract

Abstract Regional potential is a valuable resource in the development of Visual arts. One of the functions of education is as an effort to preserve the traditional nature of culture. Implementing arts education based on local potential requires good management. SMP Negeri 1 Bergas utilizes local potential in Semarang Regency as an object in creating paintings. The objectives of this research include: (1) Analyzing the role of local potential in Visual arts education, (2) understanding the management process and implementation of local potential-based Visual arts learning, and (3) identifying obstacles and opportunities. This research is qualitative research, using observation, interview and document study data acquisition methods. This research found that local potential can be utilized as a drawing object to train students' sensitivity to the environment. Art education management is carried out in the form of preparing lesson plans, implementing drawing lessons with teacher guidance from the sketching process to coloring, as well as providing feedback, to produce output in the form of drawing works. This learning is supported by qualified teachers and is hampered by limited costs and student discipline.. Keywords: Management, Learning, Drawing, Local Potential. Abstrak Potensi daerah merupakan sumber daya yang berharga dalam pengembangan seni rupa. Salah satu fungsi pendidikan adalah sebagai upaya pelestarian sifat tradisional kebudayaan. Pelaksanaan pendidikan seni berbasis potensi lokal ini memerlukan manajemen yang baik. SMP Negeri 1 Bergas memanfaatkan potensi, lokal yang ada di Kabupaten Semarang sebagai objek dalam berkarya seni lukis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini meliputi: (1) Menganalisis peran potensi lokal dalam pendidikan seni rupa, (2) mengetahui proses manajemen dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni rupa berbasis potensi lokal, serta (3) mengidentifikasi hambatan dan peluangnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan metode perolehan data observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. PPenelitian ini menemukan fakta bahwa potensi lokal dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai objek menggambar untuk melatih kepekaan siswa terhadap lingkungan. Manajemen pendidikan seni dilaksanakan dengan berupa penyusunan RPP, pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggambar dengan bimbingan guru dari proses sketsa hingga pewarnaan, serta pemberian feedback, hingga menghasilkan output berupa karya gambar. Pembelajaran tersebut di dukung oleh guru yang mumpuni dan terhambat karena keterbatasan biaya dan kedisiplinan siswa. Kata Kunci: Manajemen, Pembelajaran, Menggambar, Potensi Lokal.

Abstract

Counting board media is a tool to attract students' learning attention. With one of the supporting subjects, namely mathematics. However, learning math in elementary school (SD) is very feared by students and is considered difficult even though learning math is very easy when we already know the method. This study uses development research or research and development. In this study the number of subjects was 22 students. This media was developed using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection was carried out by observation, validation questionnaire sheet, and student response questionnaire sheet. This research produces counting board media which is a real learning media and there are animated images. The data analysis technique was carried out by analyzing validity using a validation questionnaire sheet addressed to experts, and analyzing practicality using student response questionnaires. The results of data analysis of the development of counting board media in mathematics learning subjects conducted and developed by researchers are categorized as very valid from the validation questionnaire sheet with an average of 92%, the counting board media in mathematics learning subjects developed are categorized as very practical from the aspect of teacher response with an average of 88% and small group questionnaire sheets in trials with an average value of 89.5%. The counting board media in mathematics learning subjects developed was categorized as effective in the posttest test of students with an average of 86%. Based on the results of validation and trials, it is concluded that the counting board media in mathematics learning subjects is suitable for use in the learning process and can be an attractive alternative for students.
