Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the informal economy, institutional quality, and socioeconomic outcomes in Lampung Province, Indonesia. It adopts a rigorous methodological framework using Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares, Quantile Regression, and Dynamic Threshold Analysis to analyze balanced district-level panel data covering the years 2010 to 2023. The findings reveal that informal economic activity exerts a negative influence on regional welfare, particularly in districts with weak institutional performance. In contrast, stronger institutional quality is associated with more favorable socioeconomic conditions. The analysis identifies a critical value of the Institutional Quality Index at 5.2, above which the negative effects of informality are significantly reduced. These results emphasize the crucial role of institutional development in mitigating the adverse consequences of informal economic activity and advancing inclusive regional progress. To ensure analytical rigor, the study incorporates comprehensive diagnostic testing and confirms the reliability and validity of its constructs through consistency checks across variables, normalization procedures, and robustness assessments across multiple models

Abstract

The research problem in this study is as follows: Does Differentiated Instruction Assisted by Learning Videos Influence the Learning Outcomes of Science and Social Studies (IPAS) among 4th Grade Students at SD Negeri 131 Palembang?. This research aims to determine whether the application of Differentiated Instruction Assisted by Learning Videos has an effect on the learning outcomes of 4th grade students at SD Negeri 45 Palembang. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method. This study employed three data collection techniques: observation, tests, and documentation. Based on the research conducted by the researcher, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) To determine whether there is a significant effect on learning outcomes after the implementation of Differentiated Instruction assisted by learning videos, a test consisting of 10 multiple-choice questions was administered to 4th grade students. The use of one class showed that after the application of differentiated instruction assisted by videos, students’ learning outcomes improved. The average pretest score was 64.23 (categorized as good), while the average posttest score was 83.57. These results indicate that the use of differentiated instruction assisted by learning videos positively influences student learning outcomes. 2) The hypothesis test results in this study show that the Paired Sample T-Test yielded a significance value of 0.00. Since this value is less than 0.05, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Therefore, the hypothesis of this study is "There is a significant effect of Differentiated Instruction Assisted by Learning Videos on the IPAS learning outcomes of 4th grade students at SD Negeri 131 Palembang."

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Visme platform as a learning media to improve the learning outcomes of Cultural Arts for 8th-grade students at MTs Negeri 1 Sidenreng Rappang. This research is an experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study consists of all 8th-grade students at MTs Negeri 1 Sidenreng Rappang, totaling 263 students. The sample was determined using a random sampling technique. The research sample is class VIII.C, consisting of 30 students, and data was collected through multiple-choice tests and questionnaires to measure student learning outcomes, including mastery of learning and the timeliness in receiving the material. The results of the study show that the use of the Visme learning media is effective in improving the learning outcomes of Cultural Arts for students in class VIII.C at MTs Negeri 1 Sidenreng Rappang. This is indicated by the paired sample T-test results, comparing pretest and posttest data, which show a significant value. Based on the analysis of the data, the average pretest score was 37.17, while the posttest score was 86.00. The N-gain test showed an average N-gain value of 76.35%. From the results of the average scores and the N-gain test, it can be concluded that learning Cultural Arts using Visme is effective in improving the learning outcomes of students in class VIII.C at MTs Negeri 1 Sidenreng Rappang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Prezi learning media on the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students in the Informatics subject at MTs Negeri 2 Sidrap. The background of this study is based on the importance of using interactive and engaging learning media to enhance students' understanding in technology-based learning. The method used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of the one-group pretest-posttest type. The sample in this study consists of 33 students from class VIII.A. Data collection techniques include tests and questionnaires. The results of the study show an increase in the average score from a pretest of 68.93 to a posttest of 88.90. Additionally, the questionnaire results indicate that the majority of students gave positive responses to the use of Prezi media, both in terms of learning mastery and time efficiency in the learning process. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Prezi learning media is effective in improving student learning outcomes in the Informatics subject.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach in science education at SDN 2 Jayapura and its impact on enhancing students' creativity and critical thinking skills. A quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design was used. Students were divided into two groups: the experimental group, which received STEM-based instruction, and the control group, which received conventional instruction. Data were collected through creativity tests, critical thinking tests, and student participation observations. The results show that the experimental group experienced a significant increase in creativity and critical thinking skills after participating in the STEM-based instruction, while the control group showed more limited improvement. These findings support that STEM-based learning can enhance students' critical thinking and creativity, as well as link science concepts to practical applications in everyday life. This study provides an important contribution to the development of innovative and effective science education curricula and teaching methodologies, especially in areas with geographical challenges and limited resources.

Abstract

Rumah tradisional asli suku Duri merupakan salah satu artefak budaya yang memiliki keunikan tersendiri. Sebagai salah satu karya seni (rupa) peninggalan nenek moyang yang memiliki dasar filosofi yang kuat, serta kaya akan makna simbolik dan nilai estetika, tentu rumah tradisional asli suku Duri juga memiliki nilai yang sifatnya adiluhung, terutama dalam hal ini adalah nilai edukatif. Penelitian ini mengkaji terkait nilai-nilai edukasi yang terkandung dalam rumah tradisional asli suku Duri. Penelitian ini menggunkan pendekatan deskriptif kialitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengabsahan data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi, dengan teknik analisis model interaktif. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai edukatif rumah tradisional asli suku Duri di Desa Kendenan, terdiri dari nilai religius, nilai disiplin, nilai kepemimpinan, nilai kerjasama, dan nilai tanggungjawab. Nilai edukatif tersebut dapat dicermati dari berbagai hal yang berkaitan dengan proses pembangunan atau pendirian rumah tradisional asli suku Duri itu sendiri, mulai dari awal pengerjaan (penentuan hari dan waktu oleh sanro bola) sapai penyelesaian akhir rumah (finishing).

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of directive speech acts in two distinct contexts: face-to-face interaction between teachers and students in senior high schools (SMA), and implicit communication practices on social media. Directive speech acts play a significant role in constructing power relations, delivering commands, requests, and even sarcasm. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method using discourse analysis, complemented by quantitative data from case studies. Data were collected from classroom transcripts and social media posts, analyzed through the lens of speech act theory Austin & Searle, implicature Grice, and critical discourse analysis Fairclough. Case studies were conducted at two senior high schools in South Sulawesi, with secondary data obtained from digital communication journals. The findings show that 62% of teacher directives were explicit, while 73% of directives on social media were implicit, expressed through sarcasm or metaphors. This article highlights the importance of social context, power relations, and pragmatic intentions in shaping the structure and strategy of directive delivery.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of blended learning model on learning outcomes and learning independence of students in the Contact Lens course at the YLPTK Padang Optical Refraction Academy. The research design used a quasi-experimental approach with a control group (using conventional learning methods) and an experimental group (using a blended learning model), each consisting of 30 students. The learning outcome measurement instrument was an objective test that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially with a paired t-test and independent samples t-test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average posttest score of the experimental group (M = 85.20; SD = 6.15) was higher than the control group (M = 74.35; SD = 7.02). Independent samples t-test confirmed a significant mean difference between the two groups (t(58) = 6.23; p < 0.001), while the paired t-test in the experimental group showed a significant increase in learning outcomes from pretest to posttest (t(29) = 12.47; p < 0.001). Based on the results of the analysis and development of the blended learning model, the following conclusions were obtained: There are differences in student learning outcomes for contact lens courses using the Blended learning model with the direct learning model. There are differences in student learning independence for contact lens courses using the Blended learning model with the direct learning model and there is an interaction between student learning outcomes and learning independence for contact lens courses in the Blended Learning model and the direct learning model. These findings indicate that the application of blended learning is effective in improving students' understanding of concepts and clinical skills in the Contact Lens course. Based on these results, it is recommended that the YLPTK Padang Optic Refraction Academy integrate the blended learning model more broadly to support the optimization of the clinical learning process and improve the achievement of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh Kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), Sistem Whistleblowing, dan Sistem Pengendalian Internal terhadap upaya pencegahan fraud dalam dana Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) di Kabupaten Sumbawa. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kausal komparatif, penelitian ini memilih 52 BUMDes melalui teknik purposive sampling, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur dari ketua atau pengurus inti BUMDes. Analisis data meliputi statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik (normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedastisitas), dan analisis regresi linier berganda, yang dilakukan menggunakan IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kompetensi SDM, Sistem Whistleblowing, dan Sistem Pengendalian Internal secara parsial dan signifikan memengaruhi upaya pencegahan fraud. Secara spesifik, kompetensi SDM yang lebih tinggi meningkatkan kemampuan BUMDes dalam mencegah fraud, sistem whistleblowing yang efektif memperkuat deteksi dini dan pencegahan, serta pengendalian internal yang kuat mendorong akuntabilitas dan mitigasi risiko fraud. Model regresi menjelaskan 71,5% variasi dalam upaya pencegahan fraud, menunjukkan kemampuan prediktif yang baik. Penelitian ini menyajikan bukti empiris untuk mendukung rekomendasi kebijakan bagi pemerintah daerah dan pengelola BUMDes guna memperkuat tata kelola dan menjamin integritas pengelolaan keuangan desa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan kegiatan outing class untuk mengembangkan sikap sosial emosiaonal anak usia dini di PAUD Kasih Ananda 2 Tanjung Raman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model penelitian yang di kembanagkan oleh Kemmas Mc Tagart dengan 4 tahapan yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan observasi. Dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini peneliti menggunakan 2 siklus, dimana setiap siklus dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali pertemuan. Hasil pengamatan pada pra siklus terhadap perkembangan sikap sosiaal emosional anak adalah sebesar 31.5% dengan kategori belum berkembang (BB). Hasil pengamatan pada siklus pertama dipeoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 67% dengan kategori mulai berkembang, nilai tersebut menunjukan bahwa penerapan kegiatan outing class memiliki imbas yang baik terhadap peningkatan perkembangan sikap social emosional anak, akan tetapi hasil tersebut belum memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan pada penelitian ini, sehingga peneliti melakukan penelitian lanjutan pada siklus ke II, dari hasil pengamatan pada siklus ke dua diperoleh nilaia rata-rata sebesar 82% dengan kategori berkembang sesuai harapan ( BSH ). Dengan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan kegiatan outing class dapat meningkatkan perkembangan sikap social-emosional anak, dan hasil tersebut telah memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini.
