Abstract

Field Work Practice (PKL) is a form of learning in SMK education institutions that must be followed by all students. Through street vendors activities students can practice directly regarding the knowledge they have acquired at school and also acquire new knowledge from outside the school and can improve the competence of students. The PKL program includes management of Field Work Practices (PKL) which is a process of managing, directing, and regulating PKL activities by utilizing all available resources so that the PKL program objectives can be easily implemented and achieve success. This research uses qualitative methods by obtaining data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects in this study included school principals, deputy heads of curriculum, deputy heads of public relations, heads of expertise programs, and students of SMKN 1 Ponorogo. Based on the results of the study, 1) Field Work Practice Management at SMKN 1 Ponorogo begins with planning, implementation and evaluation activities. PKL planning is carried out by assessing the location of the street vendors, distributing places and mentors, as well as providing student training. Implementation of street vendors, namely students carry out street vendor activities in predetermined locations and are required to comply with regulations and carry out tasks given by the school. Finally, evaluation, in this case an assessment is carried out related to how the street vendors are implemented, whether it has gone according to expectations and identified various obstacles that have occurred so that it can be used as learning for the implementation of the street vendors program in the next period. 2) The competence of students has increased after carrying out street vendors, both in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes. One of these things can be known from the comparison of the results of student scores before and after street vendors

Abstract

The current development of information technology will have a significant impact on the world of education. Technological advances are so rapid and unavoidable that management information systems play a role that is very necessary for the progress of an educational institution. Schools are required to be able to keep up with the ever-evolving pace of the times in order to avoid being left behind in technological developments. SMA Madina Citra Insani is a high school that utilizes a management information system in managing data through the use of the Madina Sehat Application. This research was carried out with the aim of describing the implementation of a management information system based on the Madina Sehat application, identifying supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as the impact that occurs on the use of the Madina Sehat application as a support for the implementation of the management information system at SMA Madina Citra Insani. The article was written using a qualitative descriptive approach method with a type of field research. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews and documentation techniques. Then the data that has been collected is analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models. The validity of the data was tested using data triangulation techniques. The results of the research show that the implementation of a management information system based on the Madina Sehat application at SMA Madina Citra Insani is used by the school's Nakes Team (Health Personnel) to disseminate information about students' health conditions every day to school stakeholders. Using this application allows students to get two types of services, namely internal health services and external health services, while the provision of services in this case is tailored to the students' needs.

Abstract

The implementation of the curriculum in Indonesia adapts to the demands of an increasingly developing era with the aim that people get an equal, fair and developed education. During the covid-19 pandemic, the implementation of online learning based on the 2013 Curriculum caused learning lost caused by one-way learning where students rely on knowledge from the internet so that opportunities to gain knowledge are limited. Responding to this, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology instructed the implementation of an independent learning curriculum thats providing free freedom for teachers and students in determining learning that suits school conditions. The role of the school principal as a supervisor is fundamental in implementing the independent learning curriculum in schools. This research aims to analyze 1) The principal's supervision approach in implementing the independent learning curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Pudak Ponorogo, 2). The principal's supervision technique in implementing the independent learning curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Pudak Ponorogo. 3) The results of the principal's supervision in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Pudak Ponorogo. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with a case study method with data collection techniques namely interviews, documentation and observation. Data sources were obtained from interviews with the principal, deputy principal for curriculum, deputy principal for student affairs, deputy principal for infrastructure, educators (teachers) and students of SMP Negeri 1 Pudak. The results showed that the principal as a supervisor uses two approaches to learning supervision, namely the teacher-centered approach and the student-centered approach. The three supervisor approaches generally used by the principal of SMP Negeri 1 Pudak are direct approach, non-direct approach and collaborative approach. The techniques used by the principal are individual and group techniques. Supervision activities that are often carried out are class visits, consultations, meetings, workshops, training and seminars. The success of principal supervision in implementing an independent learning curriculum can be seen from the cooperation in seeking continuous improvement in the learning management system and school administration, as well as realizing a sense of kinship through intensive communication or a persuasive approach.

Abstract

The existence of a school principal has a very important role in developing and leading educational institutions, because the principal is one of the main key holders of success in all processes and results. Therefore, the principal as the supervisor is expected to provide motivation, coaching, direction which will later be useful to increase the spirit of teacher performance. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Ponorogo which has become a favorite school in Ponorogo because of the completeness of its assets and teaching staff. This study aims to: (1) Planning for the principal's academic supervision in improving teacher performance, (2) Implementation of the principal's academic supervision in improving teacher performance, (3) Evaluation of the principal's academic supervision in improving teacher performance. This research is a case study research with a qualitative approach with data collection conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the principal's academic supervision planning in improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Ponorogo is carried out by holding official meetings every semester, involving educators in the planning process for implementing supervision to all teachers. The implementation of academic supervision is carried out by applying sustainable and active principles that are useful for improving the quality of education and the smooth running of activities in schools, applying individual supervision techniques and group supervision techniques to directly monitor teachers in the classroom. Evaluation of academic supervision is carried out with a meeting between the supervision team and the teacher after learning and there is a follow-up to the supervision evaluation in improving teacher performance.

Abstract

Education has an impact on human development, both in terms of academics and character. However, this is not accompanied by the adequate quality of educational institutions. According to the results of a survey on the world's secondary education system in 2019 issued by PISA (Program for International Student Assessment), Indonesia ranked 74th out of 79 countries. To overcome this, it is necessary to improve the quality of education, one of which is to improve the leadership aspects of school principals. This study aims to describe and analyze the role, style, supporting factors and inhibiting factors of the principal's leadership in implementing the full day school program at SMP Negeri 2 Jetis Ponorogo. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The leadership role of the Principal in implementing the full day school program at SMP Negeri 2 Jetis Ponorogo is educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, motivator. (2) The principal's leadership style in implementing the full day school program at SMP Negeri 2 Jetis Ponorogo is democratic. (3) The supporting factors for the principal's leadership in implementing the full day school program at SMP Negeri 2 Jetis Ponorogo are the principal has good communication skills, has responsibility for every activity, has good cooperation with the committee, and has good communication skills.

Abstract

Competition in the field of education is increasingly competitive and innovation is needed to win this competition. However, the lack of optimal management of human resources in educational institutions and the literacy crisis in young people have led to low levels of education in Indonesia. With these problems, research-based madrasah development is one of the innovations that can be done. This research aims to find out and analyze the planning, implementation and evaluation of the research madrasah program in developing student achievement. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, with research data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that the planning of the research-based madrasah program was carried out by creating a special research team, involving all madrasah residents, and setting goals to be achieved. The implementation of the program is carried out by providing two special subjects in the research superior class, the implementation of the learning process is carried out for 1 hour, there are research support activities, the role of educators who are competent in the field of research and the extracurricular activities of youth scientific work. Program evaluation in the research superior class is carried out twice in the first and second semesters by a special research team and assisted by research class teachers and research homeroom teachers.

Abstract

Manajemen strategis telah diakui sebagai pendekatan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Namun, kegagalan penerapan manajemen strategis di institusi pendidikan sering terjadi karena kurangnya kesesuaian antara rencana strategis dengan dinamika lingkungan pendidikan yang terus berubah. Faktor lainnya adalah kurangnya keterlibatan semua pemangku kepentingan dalam proses perumusan dan implementasi strategi. Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah untuk menyoroti perlunya perubahan mendasar dalam pendekatan evaluasi kinerja guru. Evaluasi kinerja guru harus lebih terhubung dengan visi instruksional sistem pendidikan dan menyediakan metrik yang komprehensif untuk mengukur efektivitas pengajaran mereka. Selain itu, manajemen kinerja juga harus melibatkan umpan balik yang spesifik, pembinaan yang efektif, dan peluang pengembangan profesional yang jelas bagi guru. Manajemen strategis dianggap sebagai evolusi di bidang manajemen karena memungkinkan organisasi untuk terus berkembang dan bersaing dalam lingkungan yang terus berubah. Ada tiga strategi utama yang dapat menciptakan ekosistem yang baik dalam pendidikan: mengembangkan guru, memperkuat peran orang tua, dan melibatkan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Perencanaan strategis lembaga pendidikan harus komprehensif dan mencakup berbagai tingkatan, mulai dari tingkat nasional hingga institusional. Implementasi strategi membutuhkan disiplin, komitmen, dan pengorbanan dari semua anggota organisasi, sementara evaluasi strategi penting untuk memastikan keberhasilan jangka panjang dengan memantau kinerja organisasi dan mengambil tindakan korektif jika diperlukan. Dengan mengubah pendekatan evaluasi kinerja guru agar lebih terhubung dengan tujuan pendidikan dan menyediakan alat yang lebih komprehensif untuk mengukur kinerja mereka, serta melibatkan manajemen kinerja yang holistik, organisasi dapat membantu karyawan untuk berkembang secara maksimal dan mencapai kesuksesan bersama dalam mencapai kualitas pendidikan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Negara Indonesia termasuk negara berkembang yang tingkat ekonominya masih bergantung pada pertumbuhan ekonomi dari negara pusat perekonomian. Hal tersebut akan menimbulkan ketidakpastian dalam ekonomi dan menjadi risiko untuk beberapa pihak, salah satunya dunia pendidikan. Risiko ini dapat disebut dengan risiko ketidakpastian ekonomi yang sangat berpengaruh pada pendidikan dalam menentukan harga jual di masyarakat. Maka, dalam permasalahan ini memerlukan penelitian terhadap penentuan biaya pendidikan dan risiko ketidakpastian ekonomi berserta proses pengelolaannya. Dan untuk memecahkan permasalahan tersebut penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dari hasil wawancara, yang kemudian dianalisis secara logis. Sehingga menghasilkan temuan tentang hal-hal yang menjadi faktor penimbang dan penghambat berupa risiko ketidakpastian ekonomi dalam menentukan biaya pendidikan serta cara pengelolaan risiko tersebut. Selain berisi tentang temuan yang telah disebutkan di atas penelitian ini pun memperluas ruang lingkup penelitian sebelumnya tentang pengaruh ekonomi terhadap pendidikan. Dan penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa pendidikan berkualitas memiliki biaya yang maksimal dan sesuai dengan perekonomian masyarakat.

Abstract

Pengangguran terdidik di Indonesia terbilang cukup banyak. Meningkatnya jumlah pengangguran ini mengakibatkan melambatnya pertumbuhan ekonomi negara kita. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah jumlah wirausahawan atau pengusaha yang masih sangat rendah di Indonesia. Melihat realita tersebut, lembaga pendidikan perlu menyiapkan lulusan yang kreatif, solutif dan inovatif sehingga tidak tergantung pada lapangan pekerjaan yang ada. Penyelenggaraan program peningkatkan keterampilan wirausaha siswa menjadi salah satu cara yang dapat ditempuh oleh institusi pendidikan dalam mengembangkan jiwa entrepreneurship siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kegiatan perencanaan program entrepreneurship yang dilakukan yaitu dengan melakukan penguatan visi misi sekolah, analisis faktor internal dan eksternal, menentukan program dan tujuan, membentuk tim, serta melakukan rapat program dan anggaran. (2) Kegiatan implementasi program entrepreneurship yang dilakukan di SMPN 2 Jetis Ponorogo yaitu mengadakan pelatihan, pengadaan fasilitas, praktik pembuatan batik Shibori, Sarimpon dan hidroponik. Adapun sikap kewirausahaan yang ditanamkan dalam program entrepreneurship ini yaitu sikap percaya diri, berorientasi pada tugas dan hasil, berani mengambil resiko, keorisinilan, dan berorientasi pada masa depan. (3) Evaluasi program entrepreneurship di SMPN 2 Jetis Ponorogo dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap diantaranya yaitu pengawasan, rapat evaluasi, melakukan perbaikan perbaikan atas apa yang telah di evaluasi sebelumnya dan yang terakhir adalah melakukan inovasi produk.

Abstract

Era globalisasi seperti saat ini, lembaga pendidikan dituntut untuk selalu melakukan inovasi agar lembaga pendidikan tersebut mampu bersaing secara nasional maupun internasional. Salah satu inovasi yang saat ini banyak digunakan adalah penggunaan kurikulum internasional, salah satunya adalah kurikulum Cambridge. Untuk keberhasilan kurikulum Cambridge, maka diperlukan manajemen yang baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi dari kurikulum Cambridge pada International Class Program di SMAN 3 Ponorogo. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Perencanaan kurikulum Cambridge meliputi merumusakan tujuan, menentukan mata pelajaran, mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia yang meliputi guru dan murid, mempersiapkan framework, lesson plan, dan worksheet. Selain itu juga mempersiapkan media pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang akan digunakan. 2) Pelaksanaan kurikulum Cambridge meliputi mengadakan pelatihan guru, menyusun framework, lesson plan, dan worksheet. Menggunakan media pembelajaran meliputi power poin, laboratorium, alat peraga serta menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan siswa. 3) Evaluasi kurikulum dilakukan dengan dua cara yaitu evaluasi diri sekolah dan evaluasi cambridge. Sedangkan untuk evaluasi hasil belajar siswa ada lima jenis yaitu yaitu worksheet, evaluasi per-bab, middle test, final test, dan mokking test.
