Abstract

Plastic waste management in the school environment remains a fundamental issue that contributes to low levels of student awareness regarding the circular economy and the implementation of the School-Based Environmental Care and Culture Movement (Peduli dan Berbudaya Lingkungan Hidup di Sekolah/PBLHS). This community service program was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Bluto under the theme of an Eco-Entrepreneurship-Based PBLHS Movement through the implementation of Plastic Crusher technology and Augmented Reality (AR) learning media. The objectives of this program were to enhance students’ understanding, managerial skills, and participation in eco-entrepreneurship-based waste management. The methods employed included socialization, training, mentoring, and the direct application of appropriate technology and interactive learning media. The results indicate significant improvements: students’ understanding of the contribution of the circular economy increased from 20% to 100%, environmental participation rose from 15% to 85%, and students’ managerial skills reached 85%, marked by the establishment of an eco-entrepreneurship group formally authorized through a Principal’s Decree. In addition, one PBLHS implementation roadmap and one digital Business Model Canvas (BMC)-based business model document were developed. In conclusion, this program successfully enhanced students’ capacity in social and managerial aspects through the integration of appropriate technology and digital innovation, thereby supporting the development of a sustainable school culture grounded in circular economy principles and eco-entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This international collaboration Real Work Lecture (KKN) activity aims to introduce Indonesian cultural values to Indonesian migrant children at the At-Tanzil Lembah Jaya 2 Learning Studio, Malaysia. Nusantara culture has an important role in supporting the formation of children's identity and character, especially for those who live in multicultural environments and are far from the homeland. The implementation of the activity was carried out through a participatory approach with the introduction of folklore, regional songs, and traditional Indonesian arts and games that were adjusted to the age and characteristics of the students. In addition, the activities are also designed interactively so that children can be actively involved in each cultural learning session. The results of the activity showed that the children responded positively and enthusiastically during the activity, as well as experienced an increase in understanding of the values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, tolerance, and love for Indonesian culture. This activity shows that the introduction of archipelago culture can be an effective educational medium in supporting the formation of character, national identity, and a sense of pride as the next generation of the nation for Indonesian migrant children abroad.

Abstract

Generation Z is a productive demographic that has grown up in the digital era and is accustomed to the ease of digital financial transactions. However, their level of financial literacy remains relatively low. Data from the National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (OJK, 2022) shows that Indonesia’s financial literacy rate has only reached 49.68%. Limited financial management skills and a tendency toward consumptive behavior further contribute to Generation Z’s lack of understanding of proper financial management practices. This Community Service Programme (PkM) aims to improve young people’s comprehension of fundamental financial literacy concepts, financial planning, and the introduction of legal, needs-based investment, particularly among vocational high school students. The training guides participants in managing income, preparing budgets, distinguishing between needs and wants, and understanding investment instruments such as mutual funds and stocks. The PkM implementation consists of several stages, including an initial assessment of participants’ financial literacy, interactive training through lectures, quizzes, and group discussions, mentoring in developing personal financial plans, and outcome evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests. Evaluation results demonstrate a clear improvement in participants’ understanding of financial literacy and investment concepts. These findings indicate that interactive and application-based training methods are effective in increasing financial knowledge and awareness. Overall, the programme successfully achieved its objectives and positively influenced students’ financial knowledge and attitudes.
