Abstract

Digital transformation in the health sector requires improved data utilization, particularly at the level of primary care services. Community health centers, as the frontline of health service delivery, face challenges such as uneven digital literacy among health workers, inadequate infrastructure, and a weak culture of data-driven decision-making. A training program on the use of e-Puskesmas data was conducted at Puskesmas Kendalkerep to strengthen the capacity of health workers in integrating data into service planning processes. This study employed a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 52 participants selected through total sampling. Data were collected through pretest–posttest assessments, observations, and a questionnaire based on six dimensions of planning optimization: data utilization, program effectiveness, decision-making quality, coordination and collaboration, monitoring and evaluation, and human resource and infrastructure capacity. The analysis revealed significant improvements across all dimensions after the training. The average pretest scores, which ranged from 45.50 to 57.50, increased to 82.50–92.50 in the posttest. The paired sample t-test produced t-values of 6.04–9.44, exceeding the critical value of 2.01 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference before and after the training. Cohen’s d values ranged from 0.81 to 1.58, indicating large effect sizes, with the strongest impact observed in the dimension of coordination and collaboration. Observational findings also showed enhanced technical data-entry skills, greater participation in discussions, and increased awareness of the importance of data-driven planning.

Abstract

The lack of knowledge among pregnant mothers and posyandu cadres about early detection of fetal complications, especially through monitoring fetal movements, is a major issue driving this community service activity. The high perinatal mortality rate in Sukoharjo, which reached 46 cases in 2024, highlights the urgency of this problem. The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge of pregnant mothers and cadres about fetal health monitoring and to create the GERNIN Corset (Fetal Movement Movement), a self-monitoring tool for tracking fetal movements. The expected outcomes include improved skills, journal publications, educational videos, and the availability of the GERNIN Corset and posters at posyandu. Implementation methods include socialization, training, application of the GERNIN Corset technology, as well as ongoing assistance and evaluation. This activity successfully significantly increased participants' knowledge. Post-test results showed that 94.37% of participants achieved high scores, up from 67.61% in the pre-test. In conclusion, the methods applied, including the use of the GERNIN Corset, are very effective and have successfully improved the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of pregnant women and health cadres, making it an important step in efforts to reduce child mortality.

Abstract

National defense is not only related to military defense, but also encompasses the active role of citizens in maintaining social and economic stability. Workers are a vital element in national development. Therefore, protecting workers' rights is an integral part of national defense efforts. This article aims to analyze the legal protection of workers' rights under Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower and relate it to the values of national defense. The method used is a normative juridical approach through literature review. The results of the study indicate that labor regulations have regulated various workers' rights, but implementation challenges in the field remain high. The active role of all parties is needed to ensure legal protection is truly realized as a form of civil national defense. This indicates that legal protection for workers needs to be strengthened through the active roles of the government, employers, and workers themselves to create social and economic stability, which is an integral part of national defense. Therefore, an active role is needed from all parties, including the government, employers, and workers themselves, to realize optimal legal protection as a form of civil national defense that supports the sustainability of national development.

Abstract

Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics provides legal space for drug addicts to receive rehabilitation as an alternative to imprisonment. This policy aims to restore addicts' condition so they can return to normal life and reduce overcrowding in correctional institutions. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing rehabilitation as a form of alternative punishment for drug addicts, both from a legal and practical perspective. The method used is normative legal research with a legislative approach and empirical studies in several rehabilitation institutions and law enforcement institutions. The results of the study indicate that although normative legal provisions already accommodate rehabilitation, in practice there are still various obstacles such as minimal coordination between agencies, a lack of facilities and infrastructure, and low public legal awareness. Therefore, strengthening regulations, increasing the capacity of rehabilitation institutions, and consistent law enforcement are needed so that rehabilitation can be an effective solution in dealing with drug abuse. Abstract

The phenomenon of community participation in rural tourism empowerment programs in Indonesia shows disparities, where participation is often limited to certain groups. Meanwhile, vulnerable groups such as farmers and women are often less involved, which of course hinders the sustainability of village development. This research aims to analyze the level and form of community participation in the Pandansari Tourism Village Empowerment Program, as well as to identify supporting and hindering factors. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data was then obtained thru in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The research findings revealed that participation was strongest during the implementation phase but weak during the planning and evaluation phases, with supporting factors such as local leadership and institutional support. However, barriers included limited access to information and social capital. The novelty of the research lies in the integration of Arnstein's Ladder framework with the Sustainable Livelihood Framework to examine the dynamics of participation in the context of coastal-agrarian tourist villages and provide in-depth insights into power relations and local livelihood strategies.

Abstract

Along with the increase in long-term credit products, banks began to switch to using the annuity interest calculation system. This shift in the interest rate calculation method causes losses for debtors who decide to make early repayments. This study aims to analyze the legal protection for debtors and the role of the OJK in protecting debtors regarding the use of annuity interest rates in banking credit agreements. The research method used in this study is normative legal research with a legislative approach, conceptual approach, and case approach. The legal materials in this study are primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The processing of legal materials was carried out by collecting relevant legal materials and then analyzing them to answer the problems in the study. The results of the study show that the use of annuity interest rates causes debtors, who are essentially in a weak position, to suffer losses. The enactment of the UUPK and POJK is a form of legal protection provided by the state. Although the legal structure and substance are adequate, law enforcement by the OJK has not been effective due to legal culture factors. Banks are profit-oriented, while debtors have a passive legal culture. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the use of annuity interest rates indicates unfairness in the agreement, so debtors need to be protected. However, law enforcement by the OJK has not been effective due to obstacles in the legal culture of the parties.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to revitalize Baion weaving as a form of local cultural heritage while strengthening community-based creative economy in Pearaja Village. The main challenges faced by the artisans include low product value addition, limited design innovation and branding, restricted market access, and weak regeneration and institutional capacity. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach combined with Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) through a co-creation framework between the service team and the artisan community. The implementation focused on institutional strengthening, enhancement of digital literacy and entrepreneurship, product design innovation, and digital-based marketing assistance. The results indicate a significant improvement in artisans’ capacity to produce more functional and market-oriented woven products, the establishment of digital marketing identities through social media platforms, and the growing awareness of institutional management and youth regeneration. Overall, the program demonstrates that integrating cultural preservation with community-based creative economy strategies can enhance business independence and ensure the sustainability of traditional crafts. These findings offer a practical empowerment model that can be replicated in other rural communities with similar cultural assets.

Abstract

The disbursement service for Asabri pension salaries at PT Pos Indonesia, Krembangan Branch, experiences an increase in visitor numbers at the beginning of each month, resulting in crowded queues and the need for faster, clearer, and easier-to-understand service for pensioners. Most of the service recipients are elderly individuals who have limitations in reading information or following authentication procedures, making direct assistance highly necessary. This community service activity was conducted to gain a real understanding of the service flow, identify the main challenges faced by pensioners, and observe how the presence of internship students can help streamline the process. The methods used included observation, service assistance, and interviews with staff. The results show that many pensioners still require support, especially in the authentication process and understanding the queue flow. The presence of students was proven to help speed up service, reducing the average service time from 4 minutes to 2.5 minutes per person and making the queue flow more orderly. In addition to improving efficiency, the assistance also had a positive impact on the comfort of pensioners, as they received simpler explanations and direct help when facing difficulties. Therefore, this activity demonstrates that friendly, responsive, and elder-sensitive service is key to improving service quality for pensioners at PT Pos Indonesia, Krembangan Branch.

Abstract

Background: Hand hygiene is an essential component in preventing nosocomial infections in hospitals. Despite global awareness of the importance of hand hygiene, healthcare workers' compliance with hand hygiene protocols remains low. Objective: To improve knowledge and compliance of healthcare workers regarding hand hygiene practices at Lubuk Basung Regional Hospital through education and facilitation programs. Methods: Community service activities were conducted in November 2025 involving 23 healthcare workers from various work units. The program included pre-test, structured education on hand hygiene, demonstration of WHO's 6-step handwashing technique, interactive discussion, post-test, and provision of hand sanitizer facilities and reminder media. Evaluation was conducted by comparing pre-test and post-test scores using a knowledge questionnaire. Results: There was a significant increase in participants' knowledge with an average pre-test score of 80.4% increasing to 92.2% in the post-test (11.8% improvement). A total of 73.9% of participants experienced an increase in knowledge scores. The highest improvement occurred in the Perinatology and MPP units with an increase of 3 points. Conclusion: Education and facilitation programs are effective in increasing healthcare workers' knowledge about hand hygiene. Continuous monitoring and compliance audits are needed to ensure knowledge transfer into real practices in preventing nosocomial infections.

Abstract

The Permata Tani Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Rubaru Village, Rubaru Subdistrict, Sumenep Regency, has great potential in processing local varieties of shallots into fried shallots, but faces various obstacles in terms of product quality, production efficiency, and marketing. The main problems include uneven shallot slices, dark colour, oily texture, and unattractive and uninformative packaging. A community service programme (Kosabangsa) using an integrated approach was implemented to improve the capacity of KWT through the application of appropriate technology such as peeling machines, slicers, fryers, and oil strainers, as well as assistance in hygienic production, branding and packaging development, business literacy, simple financial record keeping, and digital and conventional marketing strategies. The results showed a significant increase in production process efficiency (chopping time reduced from 30 minutes to 5 minutes per kilogram and more uniform slices), product quality (drier, crispier, and less oily), and competitiveness through the launch of the local brand ‘Bawang Goreng Krowes’ (Krowes Fried Onions). Additionally, strengthening the group's institutional capacity, developing standard operating procedures (SOP), and establishing strategic partnerships with the village government and universities ensured the sustainability of the business. This programme has successfully transformed KWT Permata Tani from a household business into a professional, sustainable, and competitive micro-agroindustry, while also strengthening the role of women in the local economy. This empowerment model has the potential to be replicated in similar areas.
