Abstract

21st century education requires the development of students' full potential, including creativity as one of the soft skills. However, existing learning is still teacher-centered and cognitively oriented, thus limiting students' creativity. Differentiated learning is a responsive approach to the diversity of readiness, interests, and learning styles of students. This research aims to optimize the creativity of students through the application of product differentiation learning at SMPN 1 Cluring. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the subjects of PAI and Ethics teachers, students, curriculum representatives, Counseling Guidance teachers, and school principals. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, data validity uses triangulation techniques and sources.The results of the study show that the application of product differentiation is able to foster the creativity of students, as seen from the variety of products produced, active participation in discussions, and increased initiative and courage to put forward ideas. Indicators of creativity that develop include critical thinking, emotional sensitivity, talent, and imagination in producing original works.

Abstract

The dialectics of scholars’ thought within the four madhhabs in formulating wakaf (endowment) law illustrate the intellectual dynamics from classical to contemporary Islam. Differences in istinbat (legal derivation) methods among the Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi‘i, and Hanbali schools produce diverse interpretations regarding the definition, pillars, and implementation of wakaf. This study, using a normative legal and qualitative-descriptive approach through literature review, explores these variations and their epistemological implications for modern practice. Findings show that the Hanafi school emphasizes rational reasoning and istihsan (juridical preference), the Shafi‘i school upholds strict adherence to nash and ijma’ (consensus), the Maliki school prioritizes maslahah (public interest) for social adaptability, and the Hanbali school synthesizes textual literalism with pragmatic application. These dialectical differences reflect complementary perspectives that enrich and advance the theoretical and practical development of wakaf law in Islam.

Abstract

This study examines the community's views on the existence of Tebuireng 3 Islamic Boarding School, with a focus on perceptions of teachers, educational programs, and students' contributions to community service. The main objective of this study is to understand how the Petalongan Village community interacts and perceives Tebuireng 3 Islamic Boarding School in social, religious, and educational contexts. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, data obtained through in-depth interviews and participatory observation with informants selected by purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that the Petalongan Village community views Tebuireng 3 Islamic Boarding School positively, especially in terms of student discipline, teaching quality, and active role in religious activities in the community. The flagship program of memorizing the Qur'an and the involvement of students in socio-religious activities also strengthen the image of Tebuireng 3 Islamic Boarding School as an institution that contributes to the formation of the spiritual character of the younger generation. This study concludes that the existence of Tebuireng 3 Islamic Boarding School is not only as an Islamic educational institution, but also as a vehicle for social transformation that is able to establish harmonious relations with the community.

Abstract

This study explores the main question of how Islamic law views the practice of hymen reconstruction, particularly through the lens of Qaw??id Fiqhiyyah and Qaw??id U??liyyah. The issue arises from the social perception that equates virginity with purity, along with the advancement of medical procedures that enable hymen restoration. The study positions itself as a contemporary ijtih?d effort to address modern bioethical concerns within the framework of Islamic jurisprudence. Using a qualitative library research method, this study analyzes classical and contemporary Islamic legal sources through textual interpretation. The findings reveal a divergence of opinion among contemporary scholars regarding the permissibility of such procedures. However, by applying legal maxims such as al-?ar?rah tub?? al-ma???r?t (necessity permits the prohibited) and sadd al-dhar??i? (blocking the means to harm), and considering the objectives of Islamic law (maq??id al-shar??ah), the ruling depends on context, intention, and consequences. This research contributes to the contemporary discourse on Islamic legal perspectives concerning medical intervention and societal concepts of purity.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in enhancing students’ religious activities at school. The phenomenon addressed is the tendency of students to perform religious practices due to external pressure rather than personal awareness. The purpose of this study is to describe students’ self-regulation abilities and the strategies employed by teachers to foster spiritual awareness through an integrated and contextual approach. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that students developed from externally regulated compliance to internally regulated worship practices. The strategies implemented by PAI teachers include spiritual assessment (AKDS), personal–empathetic approaches, integration of religious values into learning, assignment of responsibilities in religious activities, and collaboration with homeroom teachers and guidance counselors. Teachers also provide direct role modeling and continuous motivation. These findings contribute to strengthening a self-regulation-based spiritual education model.

Abstract

The Nyongkolan tradition is a traditional ceremony conducted by the Sasak people of Lombok as part of their wedding celebrations. This tradition serves not only as a cultural procession but also embodies Islamic educational values that have a significant impact on shaping the character of the community, particularly in terms of ethics, solidarity, and social responsibility. This study aims to analyse the Islamic educational values embedded in the Nyongkolan tradition and explore its potential as an educational tool for the younger generation. The study adopts a qualitative approach, employing in-depth interviews and participatory observation with the community directly involved in the tradition's implementation. The findings indicate that the Nyongkolan tradition teaches principles such as the importance of maintaining relationships, moral education and etiquette, the value of mutual cooperation, solidarity, Islamic brotherhood, and respect for guests. These values align with Islamic teachings that promote the creation of a harmonious, mutually respectful, and solidarity-filled society.

Abstract

This article is a legal philosophy study, specifically examining the child welfare policies formulated by the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership. As a modernist Islamic movement, Muhammadiyah does not only prioritize religious texts (na?) in determining its policies. National laws in force in Indonesia also serve as empirical factors in seeking scientific truth. This study applies a literature study approach to examine the relationship between organizational policies (living law) and state law (civil law), in order to address child welfare issues through the philosophical foundations of Islamic law. Primary data were obtained from the 2021 Muhammadiyah Central Leadership Guidelines on Muhammadiyah's Social Service Enterprises and Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection in its epistemological application. The elaboration of Islamic legal philosophy utilizes the epistemological function of qaw?'id fiqhiyyah studies, derived from Muhammad 'Abid Al-Jabir? work, Takwin al-'Aql al-'Arab?. The study reveals that Muhammadiyah's policies have a harmonious relationship with national laws related to the priority of child care within the family. This article proves epistemologically that qaw?'id fiqhiyyah functions to understand the application of law based on the development of religious texts.

Abstract

The issue of mental health is a hotly debated issue. Various events stemming from mental disorders are increasingly urgent to be taken seriously. Claude Mason Steele, an expert in social psychology, has a method to overcome threats that can disrupt human mentality, namely self-affirmation. The way self-affirmation works is by affirming to oneself positive values, even though they are not related to the threats received. Meanwhile, al-Ghazali has an introspective self-blame method, investigating the negative potential in oneself that is prone to causing mental disorders. This paper uses a comparative method that is presented by describing the thoughts of the two figures descriptively and then analysing and comparing them. The findings in this paper are several things. First, the difference in perspective between Claude Steele and al-Ghazali in reading mental health issues boils down to differences in their scientific perspectives, namely psychology and Sufism. Second, the views of al-Ghazali and Steele must be combined to produce a holistic reading of mental health issues and their handling.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of digital media in student learning in the Quran, the level of student achievement, and the impact of digital media use on student achievement in learning the Quran at SDN Dukuh Kupang III Surabaya. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The population in this study was all fourth-grade students at SDN Dukuh Kupang III Surabaya, totaling 131 students, from which 34 samples were taken. Data analysis used percentage analysis and product-moment analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that at SDN Dukuh Kupang III Surabaya, digital media use was categorized as moderate (88%), student achievement in learning the Quran was categorized as moderate (85%), and there was an influence of digital media use on student achievement in learning the Quran, as shown by the product moment calculation (rxy = 1) with a significance level of 5% = 0.339, meaning rxy > rtable, thus accepting the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho). The result of rxy = 1 was consulted in the correlation coefficient table, with the r value in the interval 0.90–1.00, indicating a very high influence.
