Jurnal Demi Pengabdian Masyarakat merupakan jurnal khusus yang berfokus pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, baik kegiatan di lapangan. Jurnal ini dibuat dalam rangka mendukung dan memfasilitasi pengembangan kreatif kognisi keilmuan, dosen, dan mahasiswa yang bersifat linier keilmuan. Dengan demikian, bidang keilmuan yang ada dapat dikembangkan sesuai dengan hasil kajian teori dan hasil multidisiplin pengabdian masyarakat. Dari sisi keilmuan dan praktik di lapangan, terdapat kemungkinan terjadinya transisi keilmuan yang dapat dilihat dari berbagai sudut pandang keilmuan dibandingkan dengan ilmu keolahragaan. Dengan demikian akan semakin memperluas cakupan multidisiplin ilmu, sehingga semakin mengembangkan berbagai aspek ilmu pengetahuan. Diharapkan dapat bermanfaat. Jurnal Demi Pengabdian Masyarakat diterbitkan setahun 4x yaitu Bulan Februari, Mei, September, dan Desember.

Abstract

The differentiated learning innovation training in Malaka Regency involved 50 teachers to enhance their competencies in developing strategies responsive to students’ needs and local contexts. The training focused on three aspects: understanding differentiated learning, utilizing Google Sites, and integrating local wisdom, delivered through lectures, practice, and mentoring. Evaluation results indicated significant improvements: technology use increased by 94.4%, local wisdom integration by 72.7%, and understanding of differentiated learning by 66.7%. Participants’ satisfaction was rated very high, with average scores above 4.5 across materials, methods, facilitators, and instructional media. These findings demonstrate that the training effectively strengthened teachers’ pedagogical capacity while providing a sustainable professional development model to improve learning quality in Malaka Regency

Abstract

The problem found was that there were still alumni of the Physical Education and Health Study Program, FKIP Undana, who were unemployed, and the majority were competing to take the CPNS test as their main choice in finding work. Therefore, the community service team provided a solution by conducting a Socialization of Job Opportunities, Further Studies and Entrepreneurship in the Sports Sector. The objectives of this activity were 1) to provide information about professional career opportunities in the sports sector, 2) to foster enthusiasm and motivation among the community, students and alumni of the Physical Education and Health Study Program to start a business in the sports sector, and 3) to provide a direct discussion forum with sports entrepreneur speakers. The targets of this activity were Alumni and students of the Physical Education and Health Study Program, FKIP Undana, who had completed their graduation but had not yet graduated and who had graduated but had not yet found employment. The resource person in this socialization activity was Jimi W. B. Sianto, S.E., M.M, he is an expert in the field of Sport Edupreneurship as well as the Founder of D&B Enterprise Event Organizer in 2001, KONI NTT Management, and Chairman of AFP NTT who is very suitable to provide enlightenment for the socialization participants in particular and in general for all groups who are looking for work and are currently engaged in the world of entrepreneurship, especially in the field of sports. The results of this activity there were many discussions between the resource person and alumni and students which showed their interest in engaging in the business world in the business sector. This shows that this community service activity is important to overcome problems for alumni who have not found work.

Abstract

Carnival art activities in schools are often constrained by students' lack of skills in makeup and supporting accessory creation. This training aimed to improve the ability of students from SMA Labschool Unesa 1 in carnival makeup and independent headpiece making. The methods used included lecture, demonstration, Q&A, and paired simulation with the Bird of Paradisetheme. The results showed that all participants divided into 10 teams successfully created headpieces and applied creative, on-theme character makeup within 3 hours. Participants became more skilled, confident, and able to collaborate effectively. The long-term impact of this activity is reducing the school's dependence on external makeup artists, optimizing the budget, and fostering a culture of creativity and self-reliance among students. This training proves that a project-based practical approach is effective in developing life skills and art literacy among high school students.

Abstract

West Sumatra has an active volcano located in Agam and Tanah Datar districts. Mount Merapi erupted at its peak on Sunday, December 23, 2023. It is known that 23 people died. One person died and 52 were injured. As of Wednesday, March 27, 2024, ESDM Magma Report mention, tall column MountMarapi eruption observed reach 1,500 meters in on peak, or around 4,391 m in on surface sea. Based on data in on importance the community, especially young children, know about Mount Merapi disaster mitigation in the areas Areas such as Nagari Bukik Batabuah and Koto Baru require major preventive measures. namely: 1) knowing the signs that appear before a disaster occurs and how to save yourself self for child age early. 2) Children need introduced factors reason disaster so that when a disaster occurs, the impact of the risk can be reduced. Insight into mitigation disasters, and strengthening disaster mitigation is also a form of implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) year 2030 objective to 13. Mitigation disaster on The basic principles can be instilled through education. Abstract

The CERIA English Learning programme at SDN Puton Jombang was implemented to address low motivation, limited participation, and low self-confidence among primary school pupils in learning English in a rural school context. The programme aimed to create an enjoyable, low-anxiety learning environment through a combination of English songs, gamified classroom activities, and low-cost interactive media, including basic augmented reality. Activities were conducted on 15 and 16 May 2025 with 70 pupils from Years 4 to 6, structured into preliminary, core, and closing sessions. The impact of the programme was evaluated using a pre–post motivation scale, classroom observation sheets, and participant satisfaction ratings. The results showed increases in mean scores for motivation, confidence in speaking, active participation, and mastery of basic English vocabulary, with gains ranging from 25.0% to 32.0%. Satisfaction ratings from pupils and teachers for the content, methods, facilitators, and media were in the “very satisfied” category, while visual documentation indicated a livelier and more collaborative classroom atmosphere. These findings suggest that CERIA is an effective and realistic model of creative English learning for resource-constrained primary schools and has potential to be strengthened through teacher training and replicated in other settings.

Abstract

Drug–food interactions significantly influence therapeutic outcomes; however, many patients have limited understanding of their impact on drug absorption, effectiveness, and safety. Insufficient literacy regarding proper medication usage may lead to therapeutic failure, particularly among outpatients who frequently take medications together with certain foods or beverages. This community service program aimed to improve patient knowledge on drug–food interactions and the significance of medication timing through direct education supported by informational leaflets. The activity included target identification, material development, leaflet distribution, and one-on-one counseling for patients and caregivers at the Outpatient Pharmacy Waiting Area of Bahteramas General Hospital. The results showed strong participant engagement and an increased understanding of common drug–food interactions, appropriate medication timing, and potential risks associated with inappropriate use. This activity effectively enhanced patient literacy and treatment adherence. Therefore, brief educational interventions using interpersonal communication and visual media can serve as a sustainable strategy to improve medication safety within the community.

Abstract

The community service activity entitled “Ikat Weaving Creations Based on Natural Dyes in Preserving Cultural Heritage” was carried out at SMA Santo Paulus Weliman, Malaka Regency. This activity was motivated by the increasingly modern lifestyle of today, which often causes the younger generation to forget the importance of preserving local culture, including the use of natural dyes in traditional woven fabrics derived from plants. The program aimed to foster students’ love for local culture through the introduction and utilization of natural dyes obtained from plants. The methods applied included mentoring, training, and hands-on practice, enabling students to not only understand the theoretical aspects but also acquire practical skills in applying natural dyeing techniques to weaving threads. The students were able to identify various sources of natural dyes from their surroundings, such as teak leaves that produce a reddish-brown color, butterfly pea flowers that yield a bluish-purple hue, turmeric that produces yellow, and mahogany bark that provides a brown shade. Therefore, this program serves as a concrete effort to revitalize the cultural heritage of ikat weaving while instilling values of cultural preservation among the younger generation from an early age

Abstract

Eco-enzyme is a fermentation product of organic waste that offers great potential as a solution for waste management and the strengthening of environment-based entrepreneurship in schools. This community service program aims to increase awareness, skills, and entrepreneurial spirit among students of SMAN Bolan through eco-enzyme production integrated with the P5 Project of the Merdeka Curriculum. Methods include socialization, hands-on eco-enzyme production training, production assistance, entrepreneurial strengthening, and evaluation. The results showed significant improvement in students' understanding and skills in managing organic waste; 90% of students were able to produce eco-enzyme independently and develop simple business plans. The program successfully strengthened collaboration among teachers, students, and the PKM team and established an applicable project-based learning model for replication in other schools. This innovation is crucial in supporting eco-friendly schools and enhancing students' entrepreneurial competencies.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama yang melandasi terlaksananya kegiatan pengabdian adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik di Indonesia dilihat dari survei world population review dan skor PISA 2018. Tujuan penelitian pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Margajaya melalui penerapan model project based learning. Pengabdian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen di kelas IVA SD Negeri 1 Margajaya dengan sampel 26 peserta didik. Adanya pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan sudah mampu membuat kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik meningkat sebesar 45,75%. Adapun pengaruh model project based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif terhitung Fhitung > Ftabel, yaitu 19,03 > 4,26. Pengabdian yang dilaksanakan telah mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik sehingga model project based learning dinilai dapat berkontribusi dalam proses pembelajaran peserta didik lebih bermakna dalam meningkatkan daya kreatif

Abstract

Desa Gentasari memiliki potensi tanaman herbal, khususnya temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb.), yang dapat diolah menjadi produk pangan inovatif untuk meningkatkan nilai ekonomi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan ibu-ibu anggota Tim Penggerak PKK dalam pembuatan kukis temulawak, sekaligus menanamkan konsep technopreneurship sebagai integrasi teknologi, inovasi, dan kewirausahaan. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi penyampaian materi edukasi tentang manfaat temulawak, praktik pembuatan kukis, teknik pengemasan, serta strategi pemasaran dan perizinan sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu membuat kukis temulawak secara mandiri, memahami konsep innovasi produk herbal, dan tertarik mengembangkan usaha berbasis produk lokal. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan teknis dan motivasi berwirausaha, tetapi juga membuka peluang diversifikasi produk UMKM desa dan penguatan branding Desa Gentasari sebagai Desa Jamu modern. Kegiatan ini selaras dengan prinsip pemberdayaan masyarakat, yaitu memadukan pengetahuan lokal, keterampilan praktis, dan inovasi kewirausahaan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi.
