Abstract

Students in their lectures faced on academic and non academic challenge. In academic challenge, such as orientation period, lecture, assignment, mid test, final test, community service and thesis. From non academic challenge, student who join in organization student should be smart to divide their time in campus. Facing the academic and non academic challenge, student must to have toughness in him self to be able face and resolve their lecture as well, student must to have self efficacy. Self efficacy is a judgment one’s ability to organize and execute tasks aims to produce an achievement. Self efficacy can be enchanced through training program, one’s of outdoor training program can be called Outbound. Outbound defined by learning process by interacting through experienced, Outbound is simulation of game in outdoors and have goal to get experience has meaning. This is quantitave research with analysis Paired Sample T-Test. Data collection by use experiment method, pre-experiment design. Researcher deploy self efficacy pre-test scale and self efficacy post-test scale as many as 20 item, data collection techniques use multistage random sampling. Respondent in this research is student in Udayana University, as many as 30 respondent. Result from this research found probability 0,000 (p)<0,05. This means there Outbound influence in self efficacy student. In addition from analysis regresion amount of success variable can be predicts an increase of self efficacy post-test variabel. Abstract

Learning achievement can be defined as the result gained by students in mastering assignment or subject matter that is received in certain period. There are intenal and external factors that relates to learning achievement, one of them is onlinegame addiction. Students who addicted to onlinegame would reduce the time dedicated to study and do homework, thus their learning achievement will likely be declined. Onlinegame addiction is a common phenomenon in adolescents. Thus, the researcher wants to find out the relationship between onlinegame addiction and learning achievement in students of SMP Negeri 1 Kuta. Subject in this research are 55 students in SMP Negeri 1 Kuta who meet the criteria for being 13-15 years old and playing onlinegame in more than 2 hours. Sampling method used purposive sampling. Research method used correlational study. Data are collected with questionnaire to measure onlinegame addiction and school grade to measure learning achievement. Result of assumption test shows data are normal and linear. Normality test of onlinegame addiction questionnaire shows significance level 0,534 and learning achievement shows significance level 0,819. Linearity test between onlinegame addiction and learning achievement has significance level 0,001. Result of this research finds negative significant relationship between onlinegame addiction and learning achievement and its correlational coefficient is -0,472. Abstract

Civil Servant (PNS) is part of the state apparatus that became one of the most important elements in the government. As a civil servant, people must be follow the rule included in Indonesian Regulation No. 43 Yr. 1999. Dismissal or retirement is one rule that applies to every member of civil servant. Dismissal or retirement of civil servants was a time when a person is laid off from a job appropriate age limits stipulated in Government Regulation (Dewi, 2011). Retirement would be associated with civil servant prepared or unprepared when entering that phase. Based on this, researchers are interested to see the preparations related to the readiness of civil servants towards retirement and social support necessary forms ahead of the retirement of civil servants. This study used qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. Respondents in this study were four people whose status as civil servants in the province of Bali. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and observation. The results of this study indicate that the civil servants who will retire requires good support from family, co-workers, as well as institutions. Support from family is the most important support is needed before the retirement of civil servants in the types of emotional support and information support. In addition, preparations are need of social support in the civil servants towards retirement include the preparation of financial, health or fitness, role adjustment, leisure time activities, as well as health insurance. Abstract

Parents wish to have a healthy child, both physically and mentally, but in fact not all couples blessed with healthy children and actually get a child with early developmental disorder, such as down syndrome (Mawardah, Siswati, & Hidayati, 2012). Ravindranadan dan Raju (2008) represent that parents with special needs face a stressor and different stress reactions related to their child disability. To face the stressor and stress resctions, Pozzo, Sarria and Brioso (2011) revealed that parents with disabilities need to make psychological adjustments. This situation attracts researcher to find out the experiences and psychological adjustments of parents with down syndrome child. This study use qualitative method with phenomenological approach. Respondents in this study were eight people, consisting of four fathers and four mothers who lived in Denpasar and Tabanan. The result of this study indicates that parents with down syndrome children are able to make psychological adjustment. There are five factors that influenced parents to make psychological adjustment, there are characteristics of down syndrome child are capable of independent, support and encouragement from the surrounding environment, has a positive perception of the child with down syndrome, using adaptive coping strategies and individual characteristics such as high education. Abstract

Self-concept is an important factor in Adolescents. These mental aspects determine human behavior in every cycle of life. Self-concept weren’t born from lineage mental aspect but these are build and grow from human interactions with their environment naturally. Helping others is a human nature tendencies, individual has basic need to provide and seeking help. After provide a help, somebody would feel proud of what they have been done so that will improve their self valuation. Helping behavior shows by adolescents whom join Tim Bantuan Medis Janar Duta Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. This research aim to find out the relation of helping behavior with self-concept in late adolescents. Subject in this research is late adolescents whom join Tim Bantuan Medis (TBM) Janar Duta Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. Sample in this research is 84 persons. Instrument in this research used helping behavior scale and self-concept scale. Analysis method that used is product moment analysis technique from Pearson. Results shows correlation in this research is 0.690 (p=0.000). It is conclude that there is a significant positive correlation between helping behavior and self-concept whom join Tim Bantuan Medis (TBM) Janar Duta Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. Abstract

In Bali, Hindu women are not only demanded to perfom the roles of housewives and career women, but they also have responsibility towards their banjar and their religion. They play important roles in preparing for religious ceremonies that are done almost every day, which include preparing banten, metanding, atau majejahitan (Lanus, 2010). Hindu women that have a dual roles in the family have the potential to experience stress because they are demanded to perform their roles as, office employee, and have religious and social duties in the banjar, as well as their basic role as a housewive. Stress coping is needed to deal with stressful conditions. This study aims to see the stressors, types, symptoms, and stress coping experienced by Hindu women in Denpasar. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenology design. The subjects used in this study were five Hindu women 25-35 years old, have been married with maximum primary school age children, have duties as a housewife and as a career woman, have activities in the banjar and pura. The result of this study showed that the stressors came from their families and environment. Generally, the types of stress that came from families were pressure and frustration with psychological symptoms and were emotional focused coping. Stress that came from the environment usually in the form of conflict and frustration. The symptoms could be psychological and biological, and the coping used may include emotional and problem focused coping. Key Words: Hindu Women, Dual Roles, Stress and Stress Coping

Abstract

Anxiety is a state of excessive tension is not in place, which is marked by feelings of worry, uncertain or afraid. Anxiety is able to influence health and emotional development, so it plays an important role in someone's life, even more in acceleration class which is always required high achievement. Parenting style adopted by parents determine the ability of adolescents to adapt to a variety of problems. Application of the authoritative parenting style characterized by warmth of parent-child relationship will greatly affect the ability of adolescents to overcome emotional problems. This study aims to determine the relationship between authoritative parenting style with acceleration students’ anxiety level. Subjects in this study were all acceleration students of SMAN 1 Denpasar. The instrument used in this study is the authoritative parenting scale and the scale of anxiety. The research data were analyzed by using product moment. The correlation coefficient between authoritative parenting style with the anxiety level is -0.268 (p = 0.035), thus can be mentioned that there was a negative relationship between authoritative parenting style with anxiety level. Abstract

Quadriplegic is a term that is used as the identification of individual who have difficulty in optimizing the function of the body. Various obstacles faced by raising various negative reactions from the quadriplegic. Types of schools chosen by the individual quadriplegic as a means to get an education can bring out difference in environmental conditions encountered, which will certainly affect the learning performance of the individual. Outside of the phenomenon, uniquely, researcher found that there were cases of quadriplegic who attended public school and extraordinary school, which are able to accept the condition of themselves to be able to achieve the achievement in adolescence. Self-acceptance is an individual consciousness to accept the conditions of self as it is, which self-acceptance is one of the individual development task that are in the age range in adolescence. Based on this thing, the researcher is interested to find out about the process of self-acceptance on meritorious quadriplegic adolescent. This study used a qualitative research method with case study research design. Respondents in this study can be divided into two categories based on gender that is male and female, which in each category used each number one respondent. The result of this study indicates that there are three phases passed by quadriplegic adolescents in the process of self-acceptance, which is the initial phase, conflict phase, and the receiving phase. There are some differences in the dynamics at each phase that passed between male and female quadriplegic adolescents. Abstract

As one of the sites used for marketing products, FJB Kaskus cannot be separated from the scams that a common in e-commerce business. Nevertheless, the velocity of money in FJB Kaskus has reached 100 billion dollars each month in which the figure has even beat omzet of Amazon.com for sale to the Regional Indonesian (Hartanto, 2009). This shows the importance of trust as a major factor that must be built in order to be able to attract consumers to buying. Trust not just be recognized by the other party or e-tailers due to the trust must be created from scratch and can be proven (Rofiq, 2007). Trust cannot be easily recognized by other party or e-tailers because trust must be created from beginning and can be proven (Rofiq, 2007). This research was aimed to determine the overview of consumer trust in online shopping at FJB Kaskus. This research used qualitative methods and phenomenology design. Data were collected by using interview and observation technique with 5 respondents with experience in online shopping repeatedly at FJB Kaskus. The result of this research shows that consumer trust can be described using trusting belief and trusting intention. Besides that, website information and seller information may affect consumer trust in online shopping at FJB Kaskus. Key words: consumer trust, online shopping, FJB Kaskus.

Abstract

Student is a learner who has moral duties in applying Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi consisted of three important missions, which are implementing education, research, and community service. One embodinent of community service is being involved in the organizational activities around campus. Student activists have an immense relation with the role of emotional intelligence since they have more responsibilities than those who are not actively participating in organisation. In addition to running the missions of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, students would also encounter personal problem and be faced with school’s demands. The purpose of conducting this research is to investigate the correlation of emotional intelligence and academic achievement of student organization activists at University of Udayana. The sampling technique used in this research was simple random sampling. Subjects were 129 student activists at University of Udayana, age ranged from 17 to 25 years old. Emotional intelligence scale was deployed based on emotional intelligence aspects proposed by Goleman (2002). Transcripts were also collected to determine academic achievement of the subjects, aside from spreading the emotional intelligence scale. Karl Pearson product-moment correlation analysis was conducted to observe correlation of emotional intelligence and academic achievement. Correlation coefficient value obtained from the result of analysis performed on the variables, emotional intelligence and academic achievement, were -0.204 and P of 0.021 (p<0.05). This result shows that there is a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievement, which also indicates that the increase of emotional intelligence is followed by the decrease of academic achievement on student organization activists. The number of organizations in which the subjects participated in, various activities performed outside campus, and other external factors of research’s subjects contributed to the effect of academic achievements.
