Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the students’ characteristics including the stages and/or degrees of their moral reasoning, existential belief, empathy, and social role taking. This study was categorized as descriptive-correlational research. SLTP and SMU students in Yogyakarta constitute the subject population. Samples were drawn using a stratified random sampling technique. Data gathered using the test technique: (1) Moral Reasoning Test; (2) Existential Belief Test: (3) Empathy Test (4) Social Role Test. The data were collected from 480 students. Data were analyzed using averages and percentages to uncover the students’ characteristics, pearson-correlation technique to examine the relationship among variables, and anova technique to examine differences of variables. Results of the study leads to the following conclusion: (1) moral reasoning tends to operate on stage III, namely harmony oriented or good boy-nice gorl oriented; (2) existential belief tends to operate on stage III, namely synthetic-conventional faith; (3) empathy tends to operate on degree III which means that in responding others they tend only to reflect the others’ surface feelings;(4) social role taking tends to operate on degree III, which is moderate; (5) the relationship between existential belief and moral reasoning is negative (6) the relationship between empathy is negative and insignificant (7) the relationship between social role taking and moral reasoning is negative and insignificant (8) there was no difference tends of moral reasoning between SLTP and SMU students (9) there was no difference tends of moral reasoning between the students whose parents have same religion and some students whose parents of different religion (10) there was no different tends of moral reasoning between the students whose parents have same races and the students whose parents are of different races. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap minat siswa; pengaruh langsung pengetahuan peluang kerja, pemahaman diri, kultur keluarga, dan latar belakang ekonomi terhadap minat siswa; serta pengaruh tidak langsung pengetahuan peluang kerja dan latar belakang ekonomi keluarga terhadap minat siswa SMP untuk melanjutkan ke SMK kompetensi keahlian perawat kesehatan. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh siswa SMP kelas IX tahun ajaran 2011/2012 dengan sampel sebanyak 248 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket dan data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, minat siswa untuk melanjutkan ke SMK kompetensi keahlian perawat kesehatan tinggi. Kedua, terdapat pengaruh langsung yang positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan peluang kerja, pemahaman diri, kultur keluarga, dan latar belakang ekonomi terhadap minat siswa untuk melanjutkan ke SMK kompetensi keahlian perawat kesehatan dengan nilai β masing-masing 0,460; 0,360; 0,114, dan 0,101. Ketiga, terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung yang positif dan signifikan antara latar belakang ekonomi keluarga dan pengetahuan peluang kerja terhadap minat siswa untuk melanjutkan ke SMK kompetensi keahlian perawat kesehatan

Abstract

Abstract The purposes of this study were to describe college students’ religious attitudes and the effect of family education, campus environment, and students’ religious knowledge on their religious attitudes. The population of this study was all college categories with a sample of 382 students. The multi stage random sampling was used for the sampling. The data were collected using a pretested questionnaire. The factor analysis is used for testing the instrument validity, and Alpha Cronbath analysis is used for reliability. The data analysis was performed using a descriptive statistical technique and analysis of regression. The descriptive analysis result shows that students’ religious attitudes were in the medium category. There is a positive effect of family education, campus environment, and religious knowledge on the religious attitudes. The largest effect is of religious knowledge, and then followed by family education, and the smallest effect was that of campus environment. Keywords: religious attitude; college student

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan penguasaan tatabahasa dalam berbaha-sa Inggris. Bantuan ini berupa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahan common core dengan harapan mahasiswa bisa mengurangi kesalahan-kesalahan dasar yang mereka buat dalam tatabahasa bahasa Inggris. Penelitian menggunakan model penelitian tindakan dengan dua siklus, masing-masing siklus berjalan selama empat minggu. Penentuan jumlah siklus dilakukan pada akhir Siklus 2 ketika peneliti merasakan bahwa siklus tambahan tidak akan menghasilkan temuan yang berbeda. Sebelas mahasiswa Semester 1 Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Tahun Akademik 2005 berpartisipasi sebagai subjek penelitian. Dua macam data dijaring dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan tes. Kuesioner digunakan untuk data yang berhubungan dengan sikap dan perasaan mahasiswa selama berpartisipasi dalam penelitian. Tes dikembangkan menjadi Tes Awal, Tes Progres 1, dan Tes Progres 2 untuk data yang berhubungan dengan penguasaan tatabahasa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya kecenderungan peningkatan penguasaan tatabahasa para peserta. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan menurunnya kesalahan yang mereka buat saat Tes Awal (91), Tes Progres 1 (87), dan Tes Progres 2 (44). Data kuantitatif di akhir masa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa berhasil meningkatkan penguasaan tatabahasa mereka pada tenses, s-ending untuk countable plural nouns, dan sejumlah punctuations. Data terakhir ini pula menunjukkan topik-topik yang masih sukar bagi mahasiswa: finite verbs dan determiners untuk uncountable nouns. Sejumlah temuan tambahan dari data kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa kebanyakan mahasiswa menyatakan menyukai bahan common core karena sifatnya yang sederhana, terinci, dan mudah dipahami.   Kata kunci: common core, kesilapan tatabahasa, minimum requirement, penguasaan bahasa

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to show the concept of the among system as a model of education and teaching in documentary sources, and also the realization of the concept in the education and teaching setting. The study involved two designs: one was a study content (documentary) and the other was a qualitative approach. In the first design, the researcher studied written documentary sources of the system among. In the second design, the researcher observed the realization of the system among concepts. The subjects of the study included a member of the Board of Majelis Luhur Taman Siswa, teachers and students of Taman Siswa schools, and also the alumni of Taman Siswa schools. Data were analyzed using qualitative analyses. The results show that the among system of education, the work of Ki Hadjar Dewantara, actually is an educational and teaching system that is complete and comprehensive, and one that can be implemented lifetime. Nevertheless, in the realization on Taman Siswa schools, due to the limitation of facilities, implementation of the among system could not completely

Abstract

Abstract The research is aimed to construct judo skill test for students, considering there has  not been any judo skill test up to the present time. The sample students are the students of the dojo of UNY, taken purposively. The test is constructed in two skill groups, namely Kogo Uchikumi Nage Waza (throwing technique group) and  Kogo Uchikumi Katame Waza (gripping technique group). The first group is done by Kogo Uchikumi( variety of technique) namely: (1) one place position, (2) moving backward, (3) moving forward, (4) moving sideward, in 30’ for each variation of technique. Each of the techniques needs 45’, 900 and 1800 of pivoting the body alternatively without going through throwing the second group is done by techniques of gripping the body, arm and neck, alternatively in 30’ the lying position on the mat. Abstract

The study is aimed at finding out the dominant physical elements in traditional sports. The traditional sports studies in the research are bentengan, hadang, egrangdan lari balok. Using the qualitative research method, the study includes physical skill elements as the object of the study. The subjects of the study are 56 Semester V PGSD students. Data are recorded by observations. Descriptive qualitative analyses are subjected to the collected data. Findings show that the bentengan game is characteristized by the following physical skill elements: aerobic and anaerobic endurances, feet endurance, and sprint speed. In hadang game, the dominant physical skill elements are: reaction speed, sprint speed, and agility. In the egrang game, the emerging dominant physical skill elements are: dynamic balance, strength endurance, and coordination.In the lari balok game, the emerging physical skills are: arm endurance, coordination, and balance. From the findings, it can be concluded that these tradional games are physical exercises that are easy and not costly and that give fun and joy

Abstract

Abstract Quantitative and Qualitative research have completely different paradigm. This paradigm implies to the difference in the research methodology and quality indicator. Quality indicators from a certain research could be seen from its validity and reliability. Quantitative research standard quality lies in its research instrument and its measurement. For that reason the instrument should have been measure on its validity and reliability. On the other hand, since a qualitative research  has different paradigm, the specification of validity and reliability are not the same. The standard specifications are: (1) credibility (2) transferability (3) dependability (4) conformability .The quality of qualitative research should be seen from that standard. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan warga belajar dalam membaca dan mengolah bahan pangan loka di Kabupaten Gunung Kidul melalui implementasi model pendidikan keaksaraan terintegrasi dengan life skills berbasis potensi pangan lokal. Penelitian dilakukan di Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat Bina Sejahtera dengan pendekatan penelitian tindakan. Dari aspek pendidikan keaksaraan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan kemampuan membaca warga belajar. Indikator kinerja pada siklus terakhir memperlihatkan kebenaran membaca warga belajar 100% berada dalam kategori baik dan kecepatan membaca warga belajar 98,125% berada dalam kategori baik. Di samping itu, indikator kinerja untuk program life skills menunjukkan peningkatan dari siklus ke siklus. Dalam siklus terakhir semua resep yang dipraktekkan memiliki rasa di kategori baik, 87,5% memiliki warna dan bentuk dalam kategori baik dan 75% memiliki tata penyajian dalam kategori baik.
