Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to find out the influence  of parenting style and peers interaction on identify status, existential belief (faith) and the Javanese’s adolescent culture value orientation. Structural equation model (SEM) is designed for more comprehensive analyzing the hypothesis ed model, which involves 318 respondents adolescence of Tegalrejo’s village. The data are collected using questionnaire and scale. SEM is used to Lisrel 8.30 program. The result of the analysis yields several conclusions: (1) the constructed model fit with the empirical data (2) existential belief is not growing with chronological age(3) parenting style does not have a direct effect on identity status. The indirect effects parenting style on identity status through cultural value orientation. There were direct effect and indirect effect parenting styles on adolescent’s existential belief (4) peer interaction has either direct or indirect effect on identity status, adolescents’ existential belief and cultural value orientation. Furthermore it is also known, that there is indirect effect peer interaction  on adolescent’s existential belief through identity status and cultural value orientation. (5) cultural value orientation has significant  positive effect on identity status. Beside that cultural value orientation has positive effect either direct or indirect effect on existential belief. Indirect effect cultural value orientation on existential belief through identity status. (6) this research showed triadic interaction between peer interaction, cultural value orientation and identity status. Other triadic interaction emerges in the interaction between cultural value orientation, identity status and existential belief. Abstract

INTEGRASI MUATAN LIFE SKILLS PADA MODUL MATERI LINGKUNGAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJARAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran materi Ekosistem dan Pencemaran Lingkungan yang mengintegrasikan muatan life skills dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta dalam bentuk modul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengikuti model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dilaksanakan dalam enam tahapan yaitu: penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi; perencanaan; pengembangan produk awal; uji coba terbatas dan revisi produk; uji coba utama; dan revisi produk. Hasil analisis skor penilaian perangkat pembelajaran baik oleh ahli desain pembelajaran, ahli materi, maupun praktisi menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran telah layak diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil uji coba utama yang dilakukan pada dua kelas dari kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan nilai gain rata-rata aktual maksimum dapat dikatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran bermuatan s dengan model inkuiri terbimbing telah cukup efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata capaian hasil belajar kognitif siswa.Kata kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, life skill, modul materi lingkunganAbstractThis study was aimed at generating an ecosystem and environmental pollution learning module that integrates life skills using guided inquiry learning for tenth-grade students of State Senior High 3 Surakarta. The study used the Research and Development (RD) method proposed by Borg and Gall which was carried out in six stages, namely: research and information gathering, planning, initial product development, limited trials and product revision, main trial, and product revision. The scoresfrom the learning design experts, materials experts, and practitioners indicate that the learning tools are feasible to be implemented in classroom learning. The results show that, based on the scores of the actual maximum average gained, the integrated life skills in the environmental material module using guided inquiry model are feasible to be applied. The pretest and posttest results show the improvement of the average achievement of cognitive learning outcomes of the students. Abstract

STRATEGI PENINGKATAN PENERAPAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN E-LEARNING PADA PROGRAM SARJANAAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis persepsi dosen dan mahasiswa Departemen Manajemen Sumberdaya Perairan (MSP) terhadap penerapan metode pembelajaran e-learning dan merumuskan strategi peningkatan penerapan metode tersebut pada program sarjana Departemen MSP. Responden adalah mahasiswa aktif dan dosen Departemen MSP. Alat analisis data yang digunakan adalah service quality (SERVQUAL), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), dan matriks importance-performance. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil kuesioner yang telah diisi dan dilengkapi oleh responden. Data sekunder diperoleh melalui observasi dengan melakukan pengamatan langsung pada data-data internal. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk perumusan strategi. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata tingkat kepentingan atribut e-learning lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata tingkat kinerja atribut e-learning terkait penerapan metode pembelajaran e-learning. Departemen MSP perlu meningkatkan kinerja atribut e-learning dengan merumuskan beberapa strategi. Strategi yang direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan kinerja tersebut adalah perbaikan sarana dan prasarana pendukung e-learning, sosialisasi e-learning, dan penyediaan tenaga teknisi pengelola e-learning. AbstractThis study was aimed at analyzing the perceptions of the lecturers and students of the Water Resources Management Department (WRMD) on the application of E-learning methods and formulating the strategies to improve the application of the method. The respondents were the active students and the lecturers of WRMD. The data analysis tools used were service quality (SERVQUAL), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and importance-performance matrix. The types of data used were primary and secondary data. The primary data were obtained from the questionnaire completed by the respondents. The secondary data were obtained through observation of internal data. Data were analyzed using the descriptive techniques. The results show that the average value of the importance of E-learning attribute is higher than the average value of E-learning attribute of performance level related to the application of the E-learning method. The WRMD needs to improve the performance of E-learning attributes by creating some strategies. The recommended strategies are improving E-learning support facilities and infrastructure, conducting E-learning socialization, and providing E-learning technical assistants.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify 1) the level of emotionalquotient of the lecturers of Mathematics and Natural Sciences basedon their gender at various universities in the Province ofYogyakarta, and 2) the differences in the emotional quotient amongthe lecturers. The study was ex-post facto research. As the researchvariable, emotional quotient was defined as the scores resultingfrom the EQ questionnaire to include self emotion knowing, selfemotion management, self motivation, others emotion knowing, andrelationship construction. The population of the study wasdesignated to be the lecturers of Mathematics and Natural Sciencesat various universities in Yogyakarta Province. The sample of thestudy consisted of 141 lecturers, 72 male and 69 female, taken bypurposive random sampling technique. The instrument was thequestionnaire adapted from relevant references (Ridwan Saptoto:2002). Data were analyzed qualitatively by conversion criteria. EQdifferences were computed statistically by a t-test. Results showedthat the average score of EQ levels of male and female lecturerswere 79.6% (very high criteria) and 78.2% (high criteria). Thedifference (1.4%) was not statistically significant

Abstract

This study was aimed at determining the direct and indirect effects of leadership style, organizational culture and motivation on the performance of the junior high school principals. This study used survey methods with quantitative approaches and path analysis (path analysis) as a research design. The research respondents were 100 heads of Junior high schools located in Jakarta. The data collection was done through research instruments in the form of questionnaires using Likert scale models. Before analyzing the data with path analysis, a number of statistical tests were carried out first which became a requirement in the path analysis, namely: Error Normality Test; Homogeneity Test; and Test the significance and linearity of the regression coefficient. The results show a direct influence of some factors namely leadership style on the work motivation of the principal; organizational culture on the work motivation of the principal; leadership style on the performance of principals; organizational culture on the performance of principals; work motivation on the performance of the principal. Indirect influences were also found in two factors namely leadership on the performance of principals through motivation and organizational culture factor on the performance of principals through motivation.PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN, BUDAYA ORGANISASI, MOTIVASI TERHADAP KINERJA KEPALA SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMAAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan motivasi terhadap kinerja kepala SMP Negeri, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif  dan analisis jalur (path analysis) sebagai desain penelitian. Responden penelitian adalah 100 kepala SMP Negeri di DKI Jakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner melalui model skala likert. Sebelum melakukan analisis data dengan analisis jalur terlebih dulu dilakukan beberapa uji statistik yang menjadi syarat dalam analisis jalur yaitu: Uji Normalitas Galat; Uji Homogenitas; serta Uji signifikansi dan linearitas koefisien regresi. Hasil analisis menemukan bahwa terdapat: pengaruh langsung gaya kepemimpinan terhadap motivasi kerja kepala sekolah; pengaruh langsung budaya organisasi terhadap motivasi kerja kepala sekolah; pengaruh langsung gaya kepemimpinan  terhadap kinerja kepala sekolah; pengaruh langsung budaya organisasi  terhadap kinerja kepala sekolah; pengaruh langsung motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja kepala sekolah; pengaruh tidak langsung kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja kepala sekolah melalui motivasi; dan pengaruh tidak langsung budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja kepala sekolah melalui motivasi.

Abstract

KEEFEKTIFAN STRATEGI THE POWER OF TWO TERHADAP KECAKAPAN CRITICAL THINKING SISWAAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas strategi the power of two terhadap kecakapan critical thinking. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi-experimental design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di sekolah dengan kemampuan level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah di daerah Kabupaten Bantul Yogyakarta pada Semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Sampel kelas dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling terpilih 2 kelas pada masing-masing sekolah. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data tes kecakapan critical thinking. Data dianalisis melalui uji independent sampel t-test dan uji Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan strategi the power of two lebih efektif daripada menggunakan strategi ekspositori terhadap kecakapan critical thinking siswa SMA Kelas XI MIPA, terdapat perbedaan kecakapan critical thinking pembelajaran yang menggunakan strategi the power of two dan pembelajaran yang menggunakan strategi ekspositori terhadap kecakapan critical thinking pada sekolah dengan level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, dan ada interaksi antara penggunaan strategi the power of two dan sekolah dengan level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah terhadap kecakapan critical thinking peserta didik.Kata kunci: the power of two, critical thinking, strategi ekspositoriAbstractThis study was aimed at examining the effectiveness of the power of two strategy on critical thinking skills. This research was chategorized as a quasi-experimental design research. The study was conducted in high, medium and low-level schools in Yogyakarta in the even semester of the 2018/2019 school year. Class samples were selected using a random sampling technique, then 2 classes were selected in each school. The data collected were critical thinking skills test data. There data then analyzed through independent sample t-test and ANOVA test. The results show that the power of two strategy was more effective than using expository strategies for the critical thinking skills of high school students. There were differences in critical thinking learning skills using the power of two strategy and expository strategy for critical thinking skills in schools with high, medium, and low levels. There is also an interaction between the use of the power of two strategy towards the students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI TERTULIS MATEMATIS MELALUI STRATEGI THINK-TALK-WRITEAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi tertulis matematis siswa pada materi geometri. Indikator dari kemampuan komunikasi tertulis matematis adalah written text, drawing, dan mathematic expression. Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu strategi Think-Talk-Write (TTW). Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII A, VIII D, dan IX G SMP Negeri 8 Semarang Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan tes tertulis. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah soal tes tertulis, penskoran tes tertulis dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase ketuntasan siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan strategi TTW telah mencapai 83%, dengan nilai n-gain kelas eksperimen meningkat lebih besar dibanding di kelas kontrol. Hasil tersebut diperkuat dengan rata-rata perolehan skor kemampuan komunikasi tertulis matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran TTW mampu meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi tertulis matematis.Kata kunci: komunikasi tertulis, komunikasi matematis, Think-Talk-Write (TTW)AbstractThis study was aimed at determining the improvement of students’ written mathematical communication skills on geometry material. The indicators of written mathematical abilitiesarewritten texts, drawing, and mathematic expressions. The learning process used theThink-Talk-Write (TTW) strategy. The sample of the study includedthe students of class VIII A, VIII D, and IX G of SMP Negeri 8 Semarang of the Academic Year 2016/2017. Thestudy useda pretest-posttest control group design. The data were collected using observation and a written test. The research instruments were a written test, written-test scores, and questionnaires. The results show that the percentage of students’ completeness in the experimental class using the TTW strategy reaches 83%, with the n-gain of the experimental class higher than that in the control class. The results are reinforced by the score average of students’ written communication skills which is higher than the control class. Abstract

Kurikulum 1994 Bahasa Indonesia mengisyaratkan bahwa belajar bahasa adalah belajar berkomunikasi denganbahasa. Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KALKULUS BERBASIS MASALAHAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model pembelajaran kalkulus berbasis masalah (MPK-BM) yang layak. Pengembangan MPK-BM menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp dengan prosedur pengembangan terdiri atas: studi pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan atau pembuatan prototipe, dan tahap penilaian. Kelayakan MPK-BM mengacu pada kriteria kualitas produk pengembangan yang dikemukakan oleh Nieveen yakni valid, praktis, dan efektif. Pengembangan MPK-BM melibatkan empat orang ahli dan dua orang praktisi. Uji coba MPK-BM melibatkan 71 orang siswa Kelas XI IPA di SMA Negeri 2 Baubau dan dua orang guru matematika. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas: instrumen untuk menilai kevalidan yang meliputi lembar validasi MPK-BM dan perangkat pendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran, instrumen untuk menilai kepraktisan yang meliputi lembar penilaian kepraktisan dari guru dan siswa, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, serta lembar penilaian keefektifan yaitu tes prestasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MPK-BM yang mencakup sintaks, sistem sosial, prinsip reaksi, sistem pendukung, dan dampak pembelajaran, serta perangkat pendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP dan LKS) telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif.AbstractThis study was aimed at generating a problem-based calculus learning (PBCL) model. This study used Plomp development model consisting of a preliminary study, development or prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The feasibility of PBCL refers to the criteria of product development qualities, proposed by Nieveen, namely validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study involved 4 experts and 2 practitioners. The try-out involved 71 students of grade XI of the natural science class and 2 math teachers in State Senior High School 2, Baubau. The instruments for assessing product validity were validation sheets and supplementary learning media; for assessing practicality were assessment sheets for teachers and students and observation sheets of learning implementation; and for effectiveness were test sheets of the learning achievement test. The results show that the PBCL model which includes syntax, social system, reaction principle, support system, and impact of learning, along with supporting learning media (RPP and LKS) have fulfilled the validity, practicality, and effectiveness criteria.
