Abstract

Background: Patients undergoing general anesthesia are a trisk of experiencing disturbances in respiration, circulation, and hemodynamics. Oxygen binds with hemoglobin to facilitate perfusion throughout the body. Smoking habits lead to the accumulation of toxic substances in the body and are a factor affecting oxygen saturation in the blood stream. This is influenced by changes in hemoglobin levels, poor blood flow, and mucus secretion accumulation in the respiratory tract due to hypersecretion of mucus. To investigate the relationship between smoking addiction levels and oxygen saturation values during intra operative general anesthesia in laparotomy surgery at RSUD (Regional Public Hospital) 45 Kuningan.  Methods: A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 55 patients undergoing laparotomy with general anesthesia, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using Spearman's rank correlation test.  Results: A significant relationship was found (p-value=0.000) between smoking addiction levels and oxygen saturation values in patients undergoing laparotomy with general anesthesia, with a correlation coefficient of -0.726.  Conclusion: There is a correlation between smoking addiction levels and oxygen saturation values during intra operative general anesthesia in laparotomy surgery at RSUD 45 Kuningan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bacground: Anxiety is something that often occurs in human life. Anxiety is an emotional response that arises as a reaction to a perceived threat even though the threat even though the threat is not actually real. This research includes anxiety which is divided examinations, starting from teenage patients and adult patients at the Radiology Installation at Dr Soeroto Regional Hospital, Ngawi. Patients feel anxious and panic, which can lead to repeated photos because the radiograph results are not optimal. The purpose of this paper is to determine the level of patient anxiety during panoramic examinations, to find out how radiographers act in overcoming patient anxiety during panoramic examinations. Methods: : This research is a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. The research was carried out in January 2024 – September 2024 at the radiology installation at Dr Soeroto Hospital, Ngawi. The data collection was performed by observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation guidelines. The research subjects were 3 radiographers and 5 patients. The object of this research was a case study of patient anxiety levels during panoramic examination. The data analysis conducted by using univariate analysis, namely analyzing each variable from the research results to produce a frequency distribution and percentage for each variable. Resultl: The results of the research showed that the frequency distribution of respondents' characteristics based on age groups obtained the highest percentage, namely (40.0%), with the age range of 15-20 frequency was 2, the age range of 41-44 frequency was 2. The lowest percentage number was (20, 0%) with a total frequency was 1. The frequency distribution of respondent characteristics based on gender showed that the respondents with the highest percentage value were (60.0%) with 3 female and male respondents. Respondents with the lowest percentage value were 2 respondents (20.0%). An example of action taken to reduce patient anxiety is by inviting the patient to talk so that the patient's mind is diverted from feeling anxious do not forget to introduce yourself to the patient; and by explaining to the patient the examination procedure that will be carried out, namely a panoramic examination where the panoramic aircraft will rotate around the patient and emit x ray rays Conclusion: The conclusions that can be drawn from the research conducted by the author regarding the level of anxiety of patients during panoramic examinations at Dr Soeroto Regional Hospital, Ngawi are as follows: The level of patient anxiety during panoramic examinations at the Radiology Installation at Dr Soeroto Regional Hospital, Ngawi results obtained are based on the characteristics of respondents from the age range obtained the highest percentage value 40.0%) with the total of 4 respondents. Meanwhile, the frequency of respondents' characteristics based on gender, Thus, it can be concluded that the anxiety level of patients at Dr Soeroto Regional Hospital, Ngawi is still in the mild anxiety category. As the effort to overcome patient anxiety, it can be done by having casual communication with the patient, namely by asking about the patient's daily activities without forgetting to introduce yourself and explaining the procedures of how the panoramic too will work.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Fistulography radiographic examination in cases of perianal fistula in the Radiology Installation using conventional aircraft and Anteroposterior (AP), Right Posterior Oblique (RPO) projections. According to Long et al., (2014) the tools used by fluoroscopy use AP, AP axial, AP oblique and lateral projections. According to Hulmansyah (2024), projection (AP), Lateral and Oblique. The aim of this research is to find out the fistulography examination procedure in cases of perianal fistula, find out the reasons for inserting contrast media from different organs, namely the scrotum and anus and find out the reasons for using protruding ( AP ), and (RPO). This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. The research was conducted at the Radiology Installation October – July 2024. The data collection method was carried out by observation, documentation and interviews with 3 radiographers and 1 radiology specialist. The implementation period will be from September to June 2024 with one patient. Data analysis was obtained from data collection in the hospital, then the data was presented in a scientific paper and conclusions were drawn. The results of the research were fistulography examinations in perianal fistula cases in the Radiology Installation carried out using AP and RPO projections and the introduction of contrast media from different organs, namely the scrotum and anus. The reason for using AP and RPO projections in fistulography examinations is to display the fistula from the front and side views. The reason for inserting contrast media into two different organs is to show whether the channels are connected. This study shows that this approach is effective enough to support the diagnosis and evaluation of perianal fistula structures, providing optimal procedural guidance in clinical radiology practice in regional hospitals

Abstract

Background: Intravenous Pyelography (IVP) is a radiographic technique used to visualize the urinary system by injecting contrast media intravenously. At Panembahan Senopati Bantul Hospital, IVP is utilized post-ureterorenoscopy for patients with clinical pyelolithiasis to detect residual stones. The procedure requires specific pre-exam preparations, and AP supine imaging is conducted at planning stages and at 5, 15, and 30 minutes post-injection to observe contrast flow. This study aims to examine the IVP procedure and its significance in postoperative care, providing insights into the role of IVP in managing stone removal and obstructions. Methods: This qualitative, descriptive research was conducted from August 2023 to August 2024 at Panembahan Senopati Hospital, Bantul. The study focused on IVP procedures for post-ureterorenoscopy pyelolithiasis patients, involving three radiographers, one radiologist, and one referring doctor. Data collection included observation, interviews, documentation, and literature, with analysis through reduction, presentation, and conclusion techniques to understand the procedure’s purpose and role in patient management. Results: The study found that the IVP procedure for post-ureterorenoscopy pyelolithiasis requires special preparations, including x-ray equipment, iohexol contrast media, and an intravenous cannula. Iohexol is administered via drip infusion, with AP supine images taken at baseline, and 5, 15, and 30 minutes post-injection. This sequence helps assess any residual stones. Conclusion: A wing needle is recommended for controlled contrast injection, allowing the procedure to be halted quickly if allergic reactions occur. This setup provides clearer assessment and enhances patient safety during imaging. Recommendation and implication of the study must be clear. It should not contain any references or displayed equations.
