Abstract

Keterampilan membuka dan menutup pembelajaran merupakan bagian penting dari keterampilan dasar mengajar yang berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Namun, dalam praktiknya kedua keterampilan tersebut sering kali belum diterapkan secara optimal, khususnya dalam kegiatan microteaching. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan keterampilan membuka dan menutup pembelajaran dalam kegiatan microteaching serta implikasinya terhadap kesiapan pedagogis calon guru. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan dokumen terkait kompetensi pedagogik guru yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan membuka pembelajaran yang efektif meliputi kemampuan menarik perhatian, membangkitkan motivasi, memberikan acuan, dan mengaitkan materi dengan pengalaman peserta didik. Sementara itu, keterampilan menutup pembelajaran dilakukan melalui kegiatan review, evaluasi, refleksi, dan tindak lanjut pembelajaran. Penguasaan kedua keterampilan tersebut terbukti mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih terstruktur, meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik, serta memperkuat pemahaman terhadap materi. Oleh karena itu, keterampilan membuka dan menutup pembelajaran perlu dilatih secara sistematis dalam kegiatan microteaching guna membentuk calon guru yang profesional dan kompeten.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen kelas dalam mendukung pembelajaran berdiferensiasi serta mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang terjadi selama proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di UPT SD Negeri 060792 Medan Timur dengan subjek penelitian guru kelas V dan siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan pencatatan situasi pembelajaran di kelas. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kelas di UPT SD Negeri 060792 Medan Timur belum berjalan secara optimal. Permasalahan yang ditemukan meliputi rendahnya disiplin sebagian siswa selama pembelajaran, penataan tempat duduk yang masih konvensional sehingga membatasi interaksi belajar, serta adanya perbedaan karakter dan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Kondisi tersebut mempengaruhi keterlibatan siswa dan efektivitas proses pembelajaran di kelas. Dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, guru mulai menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi melalui penyesuaian metode pembelajaran, pemberian tugas sesuai kemampuan siswa, dan pengelompokan belajar sederhana. Penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dinilai mampu membantu guru menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih aktif, inklusif, dan kondusif. Dengan demikian, manajemen kelas yang efektif dan didukung pembelajaran berdiferensiasi memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Guru diharapkan mampu menerapkan strategi pengelolaan kelas yang fleksibel dan menyesuaikan pembelajaran dengan kebutuhan siswa yang beragam.

Abstract

This study aims to examine communication strategies that support the creation of social harmony in multicultural communities, particularly among elementary school students. The approach used is a qualitative descriptive study employing literature review and direct observation at SD Negeri 057221 in Lalang Village, Tanjung Pura Subdistrict, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. Data were obtained through analysis of academic literature as well as student interactions during learning activities and group games. The results indicate that cultural diversity in elementary schools can serve as a constructive potential if managed through inclusive, adaptive, and dialogic communication. Observations revealed that children interact more easily when engaged in light-hearted games, which foster cooperation, empathy, and mutual respect. Minor instances of stereotyping and teasing among students were still observed, but these can be minimized through teacher-guided interactive communication strategies. Thus, communication strategies serve not only as a means of conveying messages but also as a primary mechanism for building social solidarity and strengthening character education amidst diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of e-comic media in microteaching practices to optimize learning among elementary school students. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The resulting product is an interactive digital e-comic learning medium integrated with the local culture of North Sumatra and accessible via a flipbook platform. The results indicate that the e-comic medium has a very high level of feasibility. The use of e-comics is able to increase learning motivation, conceptual understanding, and student engagement through engaging visual and narrative presentations. Additionally, this medium also helps prospective teacher students in developing creativity, digital literacy, and innovative teaching skills in microteaching activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine how Canva interactive media based on local wisdom is used in Indonesian language teaching in elementary schools and how it helps teachers become more proficient educators. This study used a descriptive design and qualitative methodology. Purposively selected elementary school teachers and students served as research subjects. Semi-structured interviews, documentation, and observation were used as data collection methods. To ensure data validity, triangulation techniques were applied during the data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion preparation stages. The findings indicate that incorporating local wisdom components into Canva interactive media can result in more engaging, dynamic, and contextual learning. This media improves teaching skills, particularly in the areas of pedagogical innovation, classroom management, and variety of learning approaches, by helping educators present content visually and methodically. Furthermore, because it relates to their cultural experiences, the incorporation of local wisdom increases student engagement and makes the subject matter more understandable. According to the study findings, Canva interactive media, based on local knowledge, is a successful educational innovation and helps Indonesian language teaching in elementary schools transition to meaningful, student-centered 21st-century learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how students participate in microteaching techniques as a differentiated learning management strategy in PGSD Unimed. Differentiated learning is a teaching strategy that modifies learning environments, products, processes, and content based on students' learning profiles, interests, and readiness. Observation, interviews, and data analysis were among the descriptive and qualitative techniques used in this study. The results show that students also developed classroom management skills during the microteaching practice. They received training on time management, fostering a supportive learning environment, and developing productive relationships with students, even if it took the shape of a simulation. Students' enthusiasm and learning outcomes are greatly enhanced by diverse learning. Teachers are better able to provide a conducive learning environment when their teaching strategies are adapted to the individual qualities of each student. This makes it easier for students to comprehend the subject matter being taught.
