MUMTAZA (Journal of Arabic Teaching, Arabic Linguistic and Literature) is an open-access journal in the Arabic Education Department. This journal is available for researchers who want to improve knowledge in those particular areas and intend to spread the knowledge as a result of studies. MUMTAZA is a scientific research journal of Arabic language teaching, linguistics, and literature. It is open to anyone who desires to develop knowledge based on qualified research in any field. Submitted papers are evaluated by anonymous reviewers by double-blind peer review for contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation. This journal is published two times a year (June and December). The development of technology that exists today cannot be denied its influence in the field of education. The computerization of learning media is already familiar. One of the popular learning media is flash video. The use of flash videos is expected to be able to attract more students' attention in the learning process and also make it easier for students to understand the lesson. Listening skills as the basis of language acquisition is one of the important points that must be considered by Arabic language teachers, most of whom pay little attention to this. This study was aimed to determine the effectiveness of flash video media in improving students' vocabulary listening skills. This research was conducted at MTs NU Berbek Waru Sidoarjo using quantitative research methods. The formulation of the problem from this research is as follows: 1. How is the istima' mufrodat skill of class VII students at the madrasah Tsanawiyyah nahdlotul 'ulama with waru sidoarjo?. How is the effectiveness of using "video flash" learning media in improving the special skills of class VII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyyah Nahdlotul 'Ulama Berbek Waru Sidoarjo. Data were collected by conducting pre-test and post-test to class VII students and interviews. The use of flash video media was welcomed by students and was proven by an increase in student learning outcomes after comparing the pre-test and post-test scores and analyzed using the "t" test with an error significance level of 0.05 with a value of 2.281, thus Ho is rejected. . In other words, the use of "flash video" learning media is effective in improving students' special skills. Therefore, this media should be developed and used in the teaching and learning process of Arabic in schools.

The use of guessing games in improving the ability to speak Arabic. The game used as a medium for learning Arabic here is an educational game. Educational games are games that have educational elements that are obtained from something that exists and is attached and becomes part of the game itself. Vocabulary in Arabic or what is called mufradat, is a collection of words or a treasure trove of words that are known by a person or other ethnicity that is part of a particular language. Theoretical studies used are language games, games in language learning and Arabic learning media. This type of research is carried out using experiments. The aim is to determine the effect or causal relationship (causal relationship) by comparing the results of the experimental group given to the control group that was not given treatment. This study resulted in the pre-test results that the mastery of maharah kalam in Arabic lessons for students was in the medium category. This can be seen from the results of the pre-test, where less than 50 percent of students scored in the low category. And after the T-Test test on the results of the Pre Test and Post Test, it can be said that there is a significant difference in the results of learning Arabic using picture and mufrodat media in maharah kalam. Where the Mean Rank value in the pre test is 55.60 and the Mean Rank value in the post test is 82.80 for Surabaya students.

The educational medium becomes a tool to facilitate study in this era of 4.0, the use of technology is an important matter and an integral part of the education process. The use of the YouTube platform is one of the modern methods used in the education process. YouTube is a process that has been developed to become a new method of teaching Arabic, specific and clear. It is the most powerful and most popular Web 2.0 application on the Internet, and although most people use it for entertainment, YouTube can be an effective and useful educational tool, whether in research, or educational presentations. The YouTube educational tool can be used by watching the available channels with many visuals related to the topics and walking towards the curriculum so that students can acquire the Arabic language and develop their language skills, especially listening skill. Listening is one of the four important language skills today. It is considered an important receptive skill that is targeted by every linguistic study curriculum. In this way, the learning process of the Arabic language will be filled with joy and away from boredom

Arabic is one of the international languages that is widely studied in Indonesia, especially at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Tsanawiyah, and Aliyah. Arabic is considered difficult because it has a vocabulary that changes a lot in every word form. Creative educators are able to provide a pleasant classroom atmosphere. The guessing game media is one of the innovations in the learning process to create a learning atmosphere that is not boring for students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using picture guessing game media in improving understanding of Arabic vocabulary in Surabaya. After giving the pre-test, it was continued to give treatment (learning) and ended by giving a post-test to determine the effect of using picture-guessing game media to improve understanding of Arabic vocabulary in Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative method with the type of experimental class research which is intended to determine whether there is a consequence of "something" imposed on the subject under study. by using the Paired Sample t-Test test data with the SPSS application. The learning process using this picture guessing game media goes through several stages, first students are given the material then asked to repeat the vocabulary, after repeating the vocabulary students are invited to play guess pictures that have previously been told how and the rules of the game. With this game students do not feel bored when the learning process takes place, without realizing it students try to remember the vocabulary that has been conveyed when guessing the picture in turn. The results of the post test scores showed an increase from the pre test results of 76%, then the data was processed using the Paired T test using SPSS, based on the results of the T test on the pre test and post test values, the T value was 24,347 while the T table value was 1,695. Based on the results of the T test, it can be concluded that the T value is greater than the T table value. So it can be stated that Hypothesis Ha is accepted and Hypothesis H0 is rejected. So the guessing game media has an effect on improving the understanding of Arabic vocabulary at Madrasah Surabaya.

The effectiveness of the singing method in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery in class VIII SMP YPP Nurul Huda Surabaya has a background, namely 1) Students have limited vocabulary when speaking Arabic, 3) Difficulty in memorizing vocabulary because teachers still use monotonous methods, 4) Teachers often apply the lecture method so that students have difficulty in understanding the material and memorizing vocabulary. The purpose of this study was to determine how the vocabulary mastery of class VIII students and the effectiveness of using the singing method in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery in class VIII. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with quantitative methods. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII. While the object of the research is class VIII junior high school students, then the data collection techniques that the writer chooses are interviews, observations, and tests. The results of the research before the application of the singing method was that 26% of students had scores in the low and very low categories, after the implementation of the singing method and a Post-Test was held, 81% of students had scores in the high category, so it can be concluded that the singing method is effective for improving mastery. Arabic vocabulary for eighth grade students of SMP YPP Nurul Huda Surabaya.

Research on the influence of Arabic children's song media in improving the special abilities of 4th grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Lamongan has a background problem, namely 4th grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Lamongan consider Arabic difficult and there are Arabic songs by the school. teachers exist but are not very effective in improving students' special abilities. This study aims to determine the difference after and before using children's song media. The method used is quantitative involving 30 students. Collecting data using observation methods, questionnaires, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the one sample test t-test calculation show a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. So it can be said that the Arabic song media has an effect on the special abilities of 4th grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Lamongan

This study aimed to development of electronic teaching material using android. The requirement analysis finds that Listening electronic materials are rarely available in Madrasah Aliyah Arabic books. In addition, students’ interest in Arabic listening learning is low. The research method uses in this study is Research and Development (R & D) method by Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The steps in the study are potential and problem analysis, data collection, product design, design validation by the media experts and the material experts, design revisions; product testing to grade X students of MA Muhammadiyah 1 Sumberrejo Bojonegoro where the number of the experimental class students are 20. The developed medium is consisted of 6 Andoid Applications in accordance with the number of Arabic material chapters in class X. Based on validation results the developed medium belongs to the category worthy to be used as a medium of Arabic listening learning. The hypothesis result which is analysed by t-test shows that the value of significance = 0.012 < from 0.05 And t-count (2,644) is greater than t-table (1,686). It means Ha is accepted or the average score of experimental class (73, 75) is higher than the average score of control class (64, 25). It can be said that the experimental class has a significant different to the control group.

This study aims to determine the influence of rosetta stone media to improve listening skills in language leasson. The type of research is quantitative research which data analysis carried out using the Ttest formula. This study placed at MI Nurul Ulum Bulu Sugihwaras Bojonegoro and the students at that school as a sample of research. The results showed that the use of rosetta stone had a significant influence because the results of the Ttest showed that Tt < To = (-50.328) with a significance level (2-Tailed) of 0.000 < 0.005. then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Using Rosetta stone in language lesson is very effective in improving listening skills of MI Nurul Ulum Bulu Sugihwaras Bojonegoro students.

The language of the Arab community is unique when it comes to the style of language and how people interact. People of Arab ethnic descent are generally classified as bilingual societies. They mastered the first language (B1) regional language and the second language (B2) Arabic. This study aims to determine the speech used by the ethnic community of Arab descent Ampel in the city of Surabaya. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. In this study it can be concluded that first, the form of code switching in Arab community communication includes code switching from Arabic to Indonesian and code switching from Indonesian to Arabic; Second, the form of code mixing is the insertion of words, phrases and clauses; Third, the factors that cause code switching and code mixing are the speaker, the interlocutor, the presence of a third speaker, the mode of conversation and the topic of discussion; Fourth, the purpose and function of code switching and code mixing in Arab community communication is to familiarize the atmosphere, evoke a sense of humor, look prestigious, respect the interlocutor and tell secrets.

Imam Zarkasyi combining the system of school and madrasa system into a modern cottage with learning system intensive Arabic language in it, success in teaching Arabic able to produce alumni who also has attention in the development of the Arabic language in Indonesia. The success of the Imam Zarkasyi attract researchers to further uncover what's behind his success, so that the formulation of the problem posed: 1. How is the life of Imam Zarkasyi to become an expert in Arabic? 2.How the mindness and struggle of Imam Zarkasyi in education Arabic ? The conclusion of researchers based formulation of the problem is: Imam Zarkasyi a lot to gain experience in learning Arabic in various areas, especially when studying with Alhasyimi in Solo and Mahmud Yunus in Padang, and among the thoughts of Imam Zarkasyi is the method of learning the Arabic language in Indonesia, learning Arabic in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, the activities in improving the ability of Arabic language and spirit of teachers in learning Arabic. And among the struggle of Imam Zarkasyi is in writing books Arabic systematic is now widely used in several educational institutions in Indonesia, building a modern cottage with a system of learning Arabic intensive therein, and his struggle to produce alumni who play a role in the community, especially in learning Arabic in Indonesia.
