Abstract

This study aims to identify the organizational conditions, coaching, human resource management, training programs, and facilities for the Central Java Triathlon Federation in preparing for the 21st National Sports Week in Aceh and North Sumatra in 2024. The research conducted is a quantitative descriptive study.The subjects in this study are 5 members of the Central Java Provincial KONI, 5 members of the Central Java FTI, 5 triathlon coaches from Central Java, and 5 triathlon athletes from Central Java. In the data collection technique, the researcher used a questionnaire given to the respondents. The data analysis techniques used include validity tests, reliability tests, and descriptive percentage analysis techniques. From the research conducted, it can be concluded that (1) the condition of the organization of the Central Java Provincial Board of the Indonesian Triathlon Federation is in very good condition with a percentage of 84%. (2) The condition of the triathlon athlete development in Central Java Province is in very good condition with a percentage of 85%. (3) The condition of human resource management of the Indonesian Triathlon Federation in Central Java is in good condition with a percentage of 76%. (4) The condition of the triathlon athlete training program in Central Java Province is in very good condition with a percentage of 85%. (5) Meanwhile, the condition of the facilities and infrastructure of the Indonesian Triathlon Federation in Central Java is in good condition with a percentage of 77%.

Abstract

Implementation of the ship docking process and debarkation and embarkation is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of vessels. The ship docking process involves precise positioning at the dock, which requires coordination between the ship's crew and port personnel and modern technology to monitor the position and ensure safety. Meanwhile, the debarkation-embarkation process involves handling passengers and cargo on and off the ship. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. The sample consists of all components of PT. Pelni Semarang branch related to activities or tasks observed by the researcher during field observations. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involve data reduction, data triangulation, data presentation, and data summarization. This research aims to identify, evaluate, and implement optimization strategies for the ship docking and embarkation-debarkation processes to enhance operational efficiency. Based on interviews and observations, the findings indicate that success can be achieved if the agency involved in managing ship docking and embarkation-debarkation processes can minimize errors or issues that cause operational delays.

Abstract

This research examines the crucial role of bonded warehouses in the international trading system, with a case study at PT Sunjaya Mentari Abadi in Semarang. Motivated by technological developments and globalization that have pushed the international trading system to become more open, this study aims to analyze challenges in import management and document processing in bonded warehouses and formulate strategies for service quality improvement. Using a qualitative descriptive research method through in-depth interviews with management, direct observation, and documentation studies, this research reveals various challenges faced, both internal such as poor inventory management and limited trained human resources, and external such as regulatory changes and coordination barriers with stakeholders. The research findings indicate a gap between ideal conditions and operational realities that impacts service performance decline, marked by increased administrative costs, longer waiting times, and declining stakeholder trust. In conclusion, a comprehensive strategy encompassing operational process optimization, human resource competency enhancement, and technology implementation is needed to improve bonded warehouse service quality, which is not only important for maintaining competitiveness but also for ensuring smooth distribution of goods in the global supply chain.

Abstract

Logistics is one of the important elements in the supply chain that plays a significant role in increasing the competitiveness of companies. This article examines how an effective logistics strategy can improve a company's performance both in terms of operations and finances. This research focuses on logistics strategies such as distribution optimization, the use of information technology in supply chain management, and collaboration with third parties. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative and quantitative approach (mixed method). This approach was chosen to comprehensively analyze and describe the company's logistics strategy. The results of the study show that the right logistics strategy can lower operational costs, increase efficiency, and strengthen customer satisfaction, which ultimately has a positive impact on the company's performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of employee performance and work environment on the smooth yarn export of PT Bitratex Industries Semarang. Associative quantitative research is the type of this research. The research sample amounted to 92 people, while the population amounted to 1,097 workers of PT Bitratex Industries Semarang. Simple Random Sample or SRS is a probability sampling approach. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire distribution. Based on the partial T test results (X1 (work environment) tcount value 4.299> ttable 1.987), then Ho1 is rejected and Ha1 is accepted because there is a positive and significant influence. Employee performance has a positive and significant influence on the smooth export of yarn, then Ho2 is rejected and Ha2 is accepted based on the results of the partial T test X2 (employee performance) tcount value 4.540> ttable 1.987. Based on the results of the F test (simultaneous) variable Y (smooth yarn exports) obtained a value of fcount 66.314> ftable 3.10, then Ho3 is rejected and Ha3 is accepted, this indicates that the work environment and employee performance together have a positive and significant effect on the smooth export of yarn. The two independent variables have an effect of 59.8% on the smooth export of yarn.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies onworkplace safety and the efficiency of tin metal export processes at PT. Timah Tbk. The researchemployed a quantitative method, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 40employees of PT. Timah Tbk. Based on the T-test results, the relationship between variable X andY1 yielded a t-value of 20.365 > t-table value of 2.024 and a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05,indicating that OHS policies (X) significantly influence workplace safety (Y1). Thus, Ho1 isrejected, and Ha1 is accepted. OHS policies positively and significantly impact workplace safety,leading to the rejection of Ho2 and acceptance of Ha2. Additionally, the T-test results for variableX and Y2 yielded a t-value of 23.176 > t-table value of 2.024 and a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, indicating that OHS policies (X) significantly influence the efficiency of the export process(Y2). Consequently, Ho2 is rejected, and Ha2 is accepted. The independent variable contributes91% to workplace safety and 93% to the efficiency of tin metal export processes at PT. Timah Tbk.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the extent to which production processes and quality control contribute to the improvement of garment production effectiveness at a garment company in Semarang. The research method used is a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. In this case, the sample is 66 employees from the physical and final quality control (QC) departments. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis, including the coefficient of determination test 1 (R2), simultaneous test (F), and partial test (t). The results of hypothesis testing in this study indicate that the production process has a positive and significant effect on production effectiveness, where the significance value of t < 0.001 is < 0.05 and the calculated t of 5.282 > the table t of 1.67722. Furthermore, quality control also has a positive and significant effect on production effectiveness, where the significance value of t is 0.002, which is < 0.05 and the calculated t of 3.297 > the table t of 1.67722. Simultaneously, the production process and quality control have a positive and significant effect on production effectiveness, where the significance value of F < 0.001 is < 0.05 and the calculated F value of 344.555 > the table F of 4.043.

Abstract

Crew agency has an important role to play in improving crew performance through the supervision of crew responsibilities. If there is a decrease in performance by the crew while working, this has a negative impact on the company, so that crew performance problems must be handled properly by the crew agency. this study aims to identify the obstacles, impacts, and efforts made by the crew agency of PT. Topaz Maritime in improving crew performance. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation, then the data is analysed with qualitative analysis. The results showed that the obstacles faced by the crew agency in improving crew performance at PT Topaz Maritime are the lack of adequate supervision and the crew's low awareness of performance. The impact of declining crew performance includes disruption to operational hours, decreased work quality and efficiency, and work accidents. Efforts made by the crew agency include providing crew training and motivation, conducting pre-joining briefings before joining the ship, giving appreciation to the crew, and effective supervision of shipboard rules and procedures.

Abstract

 The procurement system for goods and services in the maritime sector often faces serious challenges related to transparency, accountability, and efficiency, which may lead to corrupt practices and operational inefficiencies. Blockchain technology emerges as an innovative solution that offers a decentralized and immutable record-keeping system, thereby enhancing trust and integrity in procurement processes. This study aims to analyze the role of blockchain technology in improving transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the procurement system within Indonesia’s maritime sector. By using a qualitative approach, namely by collecting qualitative data through in-depth interviews with stakeholders in the maritime industry, shipping companies, port authorities, and logistics providers. The findings indicate that blockchain implementation enhances information transparency, strengthens accountability mechanisms, and accelerates processes while reducing errors in procurement. The study concludes that blockchain technology holds strategic potential to drive procurement reform in the maritime sector toward better, more efficient, and integrity-based governance.

Abstract

The transformation of tax administration through the adoption of new regulations and digital technologies represents a strategic step toward strengthening the national taxation system. This study explores how the implementation of new policies affects efficiency, transparency, and compliance within tax administration, while also examining the challenges and opportunities that arise in the process. The digitalization of procedures—such as electronic tax filing and payment—has improved data accuracy and enhanced accessibility for taxpayers. Core technologies, including the Tax Management Information System (SIMP), e-Filing, e-Payment, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, are increasingly recognized for their ability to accelerate service delivery and effectively detect potential tax fraud. However, this transformation still faces significant hurdles, including infrastructure limitations, a shortage of skilled human resources, low levels of digital literacy, concerns over data security, and high system integration costs. This research aims to: (1) assess the impact of new regulatory frameworks on tax administration reform; (2) identify the most effective digital technologies supporting this transformation; and (3) uncover the main challenges and opportunities associated with the tax administration transformation process in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with taxpayers across several districts in Semarang City. The study recommends increased investment in infrastructure, enhanced human resource capacity, stronger cross-sector collaboration, and the implementation of comprehensive data security policies. With careful planning and a collaborative, cross-sectoral approach, digital tax administration reform can lay the foundation for a more adaptive, transparent, and accountable tax system in the digital age.
