Focus and Scope Jurnal Riset Sosial Humaniora dan Pendidikan merupakan wadah publikasi ilmiah yang berfokus pada hasil penelitian, kajian teoritis, dan pemikiran konseptual di bidang Ilmu Sosial, Humaniora, dan Pendidikan. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk memperluas wawasan akademik, mendorong inovasi penelitian, serta memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan praktik sosial di Indonesia. 1. Abstract

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is China's foreign policy introduced during the administration of Xi Jinping. This policy represents China's efforts to expand cooperation in the economic sector and aims to shift the United States' hegemony, both in security and particularly in the economic domain. The project spans across various regions, including the Middle East, a region abundant in energy resources and petroleum, prompting China to focus on collaboration with Arab nations. This approach has been positively received by countries in the Middle East as China adopts a proactive method without military intervention, concentrating solely on economic cooperation. Furthermore, China's recent appointment as the Chair of the United Nations Security Council presents an opportune moment. This positions China to play a more significant role in its extensive projects, serving as a mediator for peace in the Palestine-Israel conflict. This article seeks to address questions regarding China's interests as the Chair of the UN Security Council in the Palestine-Israel conflict, employing the theories of hegemonic stability and the concept of national interest.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes in Social Studies (IPS) at Class 7H MTsN 1 Kota Kediri were initially low, due to the use of less interactive lecture methods. This led to low student motivation and difficulty in understanding the material. This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in Social Studies through the application of the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT). The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 33 students of Class 7H. Data collection techniques included tests, observation, and questionnaires. The results showed an improvement in student learning outcomes across each cycle. The average score increased from 64.84 in the pre-cycle to 79.24 in cycle I, and reached 94.27 in cycle II. The percentage of mastery learning also improved from 3.03% to 81.82%, and finally reached 100%. Therefore, the TGT learning model proved to be effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in Social Studies.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using internet media as a learning resource on students' learning interest in the Economics subject in Grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. Thus research employs a survey method using questionnaires as the data collection instrument. The population consisted of Grade XI students, and a sample of 74 students was randomly selected using random sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The results indicate a positive and significant effect of using internet media on students' learning interest in Economics for Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. The findings are expressed in the linear equation Ý = 29.653 + 0.495X. The Y variable (Learning Interest) is valued at 29.653 when the X variable (Internet Media) is 0 or absent. For every 1% increase in the X variable (Internet Media), the Y variable (Learning Interest) increases by 0.495. The t-test analysis indicates a positive and significant effect of using internet media as a learning resource on students' learning interest, with a t-count of 9.588 > t-table value of 1,922 and a significance level of 0.000<0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies implemented by Special School (SLB) teachers in adjusting learning content and modifying learning methods and media according to the individual needs of students with special needs. Differentiated learning is a crucial approach in inclusive education to accommodate the diversity of characteristics and learning needs of students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of the study were teachers who teach at SLBN Autism North Sumatra. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews. The results of the study are expected to enrich the theory of differentiated learning in the context of inclusive education, as well as provide practical references for SLB teachers in designing and implementing more effective and responsive differentiated learning for students with special needs.

Abstract

Making decisions is a crucial part of educational administration in order to successfully accomplish organizational objectives. Examining the idea and phases of decision-making in the management of teachers and other education staff is the goal of this study. A literature study is the approach taken, gathering information from books, journals, and related sources. According to the study's findings, making wise decisions requires a methodical process that includes problem identification, alternative analysis, choosing the best solution, execution, and evaluation. For decisions to be successful and responsible, ethics, dangers, and the interests of different parties must also be taken into account.

Abstract

Transformational leadership plays an important role in improving organizational performance by creating an inspiring vision, building strong working relationships, and encouraging innovation. This study aims to analyze the impact of transformational leadership on employee performance across various sectors, with a focus on the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in Maluku Province. The research employs a quantitative approach and is analyzed using statistical methods. The findings show that transformational leadership has a positive impact on employee motivation, engagement, and productivity. Leaders who provide a clear vision, offer emotional support, and encourage innovation have been proven to enhance organizational effectiveness. This study also identifies challenges in implementing transformational leadership, such as resistance to change and resource constraints. Therefore, it is crucial for organizations to develop adaptive and sustainable leadership strategies to optimize employee performance. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for stakeholders in designing more effective leadership policies.

Abstract

This article discusses the strategic role of traditional leaders in building harmonious communities while preserving cultural heritage. Amidst the challenges of globalization, traditional leaders serve as guardians of tradition and motivators in educating the younger generation about their cultural values. Through various community activities, traditional leaders create spaces for dialogue that strengthen social ties and cooperation among community members. In addition, they also act as mediators in resolving conflicts, using local wisdom-based approaches to achieve peaceful solutions. Thus, this article highlights the importance of traditional leadership in creating social harmony and preserving cultural identity in the modern era.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of employee performance on customer satisfaction in using the PLN Mobile application at PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Wilayah Maluku and Maluku Utara. The study employs simple linear regression analysis, utilizing t-tests and F-tests to assess the significance of the relationship between variables. The findings reveal that employee performance has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, with a regression coefficient of 0.787 and a significance value of < 0.001. The F-test results indicate that the regression model is valid and effectively explains variations in customer satisfaction, with an F-value of 1834.299, significantly exceeding the critical F-table value. Additionally, the high coefficient of determination (R²) suggests that most variations in customer satisfaction can be explained by employee performance. This study confirms that optimizing employee performance is a key factor in improving customer satisfaction, particularly in digital services such as PLN Mobile. Therefore, PT PLN (Persero) must enhance employee competence and service quality to support digital transformation and meet customer expectations.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media has significantly influenced the psychological dynamics of adolescents, particularly regarding their mental health. This study aims to examine the relationship between the five dimensions of the Big Five personality traits (neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness) and adolescent mental health in the digital era. Using a qualitative method with a literature review approach, the study analyzed various recent scientific sources. The findings indicate that certain personality traits, such as high neuroticism, are positively correlated with mental health issues, while others, like extraversion and conscientiousness, serve as protective factors. The interaction between personality traits and social media usage patterns also affects adolescents' levels of stress, anxiety, and tendencies toward negative behaviors such as FOMO and digital addiction. These results highlight the importance of a personalized approach in supporting adolescents, involving parents, teachers, and counselors, to prevent psychological disorders and promote mental well-being based on individual personality characteristics.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of assessment in guidance and counseling services, particularly how assessment assists counselors in understanding clients and the types of assessments commonly used in the counseling process. Assessment is a crucial tool for gathering objective and comprehensive data about clients’ potentials, problems, and psychological conditions. Through test and non-test assessment techniques, counselors can obtain a thorough overview that supports the development of targeted service programs. This study emphasizes that the selection of assessment types should be adjusted to the client’s needs and characteristics to ensure effective counseling. Assessments not only provide data for planning but also contribute to client self-understanding, increase motivation for change, and help identify obstacles that need to be addressed. Therefore, the ethical and professional application of assessment is essential in supporting the success of guidance and counseling services.
