Abstract

ABSTRAK Kebisingan lalu lintas adalah salah satu ancaman bagi kesehatan masyarakat perkotaan. Paparan bising memberikan efek kesehatan jangka pendek dan panjang, dan efeknya berpotensi lebih buruk pada anak-anak yang belajar di sekolah pinggir jalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi kebisingan lalu lintas jalan di sekolah-sekolah yang terletak di jalan-jalan utama di Bandung, Indonesia serta memberikan rekomendasi mitigasi dan adaptasi untuk pengendalian kebisingan. Kebisingan lalu lintas diperoleh di dua sekolah pinggir jalan terletak di dua jalan utama (Jalan Suci dan Djuanda), beserta data volume dan komposisi lalu lintas, serta kecepatan kendaraan. Pengukuran dilakukan antara jam sekolah selama satu hari yang mewakili lokasi trotoar jalan, depan sekolah, dan halaman sekolah. Parameter tingkat kebisingan yang penting (Leq, L10, L50, L90) diukur, dan dilakukan analisis korelasi antara masing-masing parameter kebisingan. Model CoRTN digunakan untuk memprediksi kebisingan lalu lintas pada jarak tertentu dari jalan raya. Sepeda motor merupakan jenis kendaraan dominan secara berturut 79,1% dan 67,1% dari total volume kendaraan di ruas jalan Suci dan Djuanda. Kendaraan berat menyumbang <1%. Mayoritas kebisingan lalu lintas yang diukur sebagai Leq, L10, L50, L90 melebihi batas maksimum untuk pinggir jalan dan zona sekolah menurut standar internasional dan nasional <55 dBA). Model tersebut berkinerja lebih baik di ruas jalan Djuanda daripada Suci. Jumlah lokasi dan waktu pengukuran yang lebih banyak dapat memberikan penilaian paparan tingkat kebisingan lalu lintas yang lebih baik dengan menggunakan model CoRTN. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan kebijakan berbasis pengetahuan bagi pemerintah kota dan lembaga untuk mengurangi dampak bising bagi anak didik. Its exposures have proven short-and long-term health effects. and potentially worse for vulnerable population such as children studying at roadside schools. This study aimed to characterize the road traffic noise at schools located at major roads in Bandung, Indonesia. Traffic noise were obtained at 2 roadside schools located at two major roads (Suci and Djuanda roads), along with data on traffic volume and composition, and vehicles speed. The measurement was conducted between school hours during one day-time only at locations representative of roadside, front of the schools, and schoolyard. Important noise level parameters such as Leq, L10, L50, L90 were recorded, and correlation analysis between each parameter was conducted. The CoRTN model was then applied to predict the traffic noise at particular distances from the road. Motorcycles were the predominant vehicle type on both road segments: 79.1% and 67.1% of the total vehicle volume on Suci on Djuanda segments, respectively.  Conversely, heavy vehicles accounted <1%. The majority of measured traffic noise determined as Leq, L10, L50, L90 exceeded the maximum limit for roadside and school zone set by the international and national standard (>55 dBA). The model performed better in Djuanda road segment than in Suci segment. More measurement locations and time could provide better assessment of exposure to traffic noise levels at roadside schools using the CoRTN model. Abstract

ABSTRACT The primary municipal waste treatment in Tuban Regency, East Java, was landfilling, besides the small amount of the waste was turned to compost. Landfilling causes global warming, which leads to climate change due to CH4 emission. This environmental impact could be worst by the population growth that increases the amount of waste. This study aimed to evaluate the environmental impact on waste management in the Gunung Panggung landfill in Tuban Regency and its alternative scenarios using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Four scenarios were used in this study. They are one existing scenario and three alternative scenarios comprising landfilling, composting, and anaerobic digestion. The scope of this study includes waste transportation to waste treatment which is landfilling, composting, and anaerobic digestion (AD). The functional unit of this analysis is per ton per year of treated waste. Environmental impacts selected are global warming potential, acidification potential, and eutrophication potential. The existing waste management in Gunung Panggung landfill showed the higher global warming potential because of the emission of CO2 and cost for human health, which is 6.379.506,17 CO2 eq/year and 5,92 DALY, respectively. Scenario 3 (landfilling, composting, and AD; waste sortation 70%) showed a lower environmental impact than others, but improvements were still needed. Covering compost pile or controlling compost turning frequency was proposed for scenario 3 amendment. Keywords: environmental impact, landfill, life cycle assessment, waste management   ABSTRAK Landfill merupakan pengelolaan sampah utama di tempat pemrosesan akhir (TPA) Gunung Panggung Kabupaten Tuban. Selain landfill, pengomposan diterapkan untuk mengolah sebagian kecil sampahnya. Landfill menghasilkan gas metana yang menyebabkan pemanasan global dan memicu perubahan iklim. Pertambahan penduduk memperbanyak sampah yang perlu diolah di TPA dan dapat memperparah dampak lingkungan yang ditimbulkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menilai dampak lingkungan dari pengelolaan sampah eksisting di TPA Gunung Panggung Kabupaten Tuban Jawa Timur beserta skenario alternatifnya menggunakan Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Terdapat satu skenario eksisting dan tiga skenario alternatif pengelolaan sampah yaitu landfilling, pengomposan, dan fermentasi anaerob (anaerobic digestion). Ruang lingkup studi meliputi pengangkutan sampah, pengelolaan sampah dengan cara pengomposan, Anaerobic Digestion (AD), dan landfill. Satuan fungsional yang digunakan yakni ton sampah yang diolah per tahun. Dampak lingkungan yang dipelajari di antaranya: pemanasan global, asidifikasi, dan eutrofikasi. Dampak lingkungan skenario eksisting menunjukkan nilai tertinggi terutama pada pemanasan global (6.379.506,17 CO2eq/tahun) dan kerugian pada kesehatan manusia (5,92 DALY). Skenario alternatif 3, yang meliputi pengelolaan secara landfill, pengomposan, dan AD menunjukkan dampak lingkungan yang kecil, namun memerlukan perbaikan. Perbaikan untuk skenario 3 yaitu dengan menambahkan penutup pada tumpukan kompos atau mengontrol frekuensi pembalikan kompos untuk mengurangi emisi NH3. Abstract

ABSTRACT Struvite, also known as magnesium ammonium phosphate hexahydrate, is a white crystal with a chemical formula magnesium ammonium phosphate hexahydrate (MgNH4PO4.6H2O). Because of its phosphate content, struvite can be utilized as a fertilizer. Tempeh industrial effluent contains a high concentration of PO4, making it a possible struvite fertilizer producing material. The formation of struvite fertilizer is carried out by the aeration process. This process is able to increase the pH and homogeneity of the solution. The solution of Magnesium Ammonium Phosphate (MAP) is prepared by reacting tempeh industrial wasterwater, Magnesium Chloride (MgCl2), and Ammonium Hydroxide (NH4OH). The MAP ratios used are 1:1:1 and 3:1:1. The temperature was set at 30 °C and pH 9, the airflow rate was carried out at a rate of 0.25 - 1.25 liters per minute. Struvite crystals were analyzed using X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The best struvite fertilizer content is magnesium by 40.3% and phosphorus by 43.9% at an air flow rate of 1.25 liters per minute and a ratio of 3:1:1. Further development can be done by applying struvite fertilizers to plants.  Keywords: aeration, crystallization, tempeh industrial wastewater, struvite   ABSTRAK Struvite adalah kristal putih yang secara kimiawi dikenal sebagai magnesium amonium fosfat heksahidrat (MgNH4PO4.6H2O). Struvite dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi pupuk karena kandungan fosfat (PO4) di dalamnya. Limbah cair industri tempe memiliki kandungan PO4 yang cukup tinggi, menjadikan limbah cair industri tempe adalah bahan pembentuk pupuk struvite yang potensial. Pembentukan pupuk struvite dilakukan dengan proses aerasi. Proses ini mampu meningkatkan pH dan homogenitas dari larutan. Larutan MAP (Magnesium Amonium Fosfat) dibuat dengan cara mereaksikan limbah cair industri tempe, Magnesium Klorida (MgCl2), dan Amonium Hidroksida (NH4OH). Rasio MAP yang digunakan adalah 1:1:1 dan 3:1:1. Temperatur ditetapkan sebesar 30°C dan pH 9, laju alir udara dilakukan dengan laju 0,25 - 1,25 liter per menit. Kristal struvite dianalisis menggunakan Floresensi sinar-X (XRF) dan Mikroskop Pemindai Elektron (SEM). Kandungan pupuk struvite terbaik adalah magnesium sebesar 40,3% dan fosfor sebesar 43,9% pada konsentrasi 3:1:1 dan laju alir udara 1,25 liter per menit. Abstract

ABSTRACT Total transport energy use and carbon emissions in 2030 are estimated to be about 80% higher than at present. West Java's transportation sector emissions are projected to occupy the third position in the third-largest contributor to GRK emissions, amounting to 21.9 million tons of CO2. The West Java Provincial Government aims to reduce 3.18 million tons of CO2 eq for the energy sector and 1.1 million tons of CO2 eq for the transportation sector. Of course, this is a challenge for the government because the volume of truck logistic systems continues to increase, especially in Bandung. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of truck exhaust emissions produced and to know what strategies should be taken to reduce exhaust emissions based on the selection of distribution routes for rice distribution in Bandung City. This study uses an ILP model with a Matlab solver that compares the total mileage, the number of vehicles, and total transportation costs in two distribution systems, namely direct delivery and shared delivery. In this study, the scenario of the transport capacity was changed according to the use of the truck type fuso tub, changing the type of truck that has a larger capacity, and calculating the value of exhaust emissions for trucks in both new scenarios and two distribution systems. The results showed, to reduce exhaust emissions by adjusting the number of vehicles and the minimum total mileage through increased transport capacity and sharing delivery systems, this strategy can reduce exhaust emissions by 21.92% for each composition.  Keywords: transportation, rice distribution, sharing delivery, emission reduction, exhaust emission   ABSTRAK Total penggunaan energi transportasi dan emisi karbon pada tahun 2030 diperkirakan menjadi sekitar 80% lebih tinggi daripada kondisi saat ini. Pada emisi sektor transportasi Jawa Barat diproyeksikan pada tahun 2020 menempati posisi ketiga terbesar penyumbang emisi GRK sebesar 21,9 juta ton CO2. Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat memiliki target menurunkan 3,18 juta ton CO2-eq untuk sektor energi dan 1,1 juta ton CO2-eq untuk sektor transportasi. Tentu hal ini menjadi tantangan pemerintah karena faktanya pada sistem logistik volume kendaraan truk terus meningkat khususnya di Kota Bandung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai emisi gas buang kendaraan truk yang dihasilkan dan mengetahui strategi apa yang harus diambil untuk menurunkan emisi gas buang berdasarkan pemilihan rute distribusi untuk distribusi beras di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ILP dengan solver Matlab yang membandingkan total jarak tempuh, jumlah kendaraan, dan total biaya transportasi pada dua sistem distribusi yaitu pengiriman langsung dan pengiriman berbagi. Pada penelitian ini skenario kapasitas angkut diubah sesuai dengan penggunaan armada angkut truk jenis fuso bak, mengubah jenis truk yang memiliki kapasitas lebih besar, serta menghitung nilai emisi gas buang untuk kendaraan truk pada kedua skenario baru dan dua sistem distribusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, dengan mengatur jumlah kendaraan dan total jarak tempuh minimum melalui peningkatan kapasitas angkut dan penggunaan sistem pengiriman berbagi, dapat menurunkan emisi gas buang sebesar 21,92% untuk setiap komposisinya. Abstract

ABSTRACT The increased activities in hospitals will increase the infectious waste generation. The infectious waste contains pathogenic organisms that can spread disease to humans and the environment. The harmful impact of infectious waste can be minimized through proper waste management, starting from waste generation. This study aims to examine the problem of infectious waste generation: the overall percentage of infectious waste generation in hospitals, the amount of infectious waste generation from each source (processing unit), and analyze factors that significantly affected its generation. This study is expected to be the basis of recommendations for hospitals in handling infectious waste. The study was conducted in four public hospitals in Bandung and Cimahi City. The data consists of infectious waste generation, non-infectious waste (general waste) generation, and hospital data as data factors analyzed for its influence on waste generation. The stepwise regression method was used for factor analysis with 95% CI. The result showed that infectious waste generation had a lower percentage than non-infectious waste, ranging from 38–47%. The treatment rooms that produce the most considerable infectious waste are haemodialysis, operating rooms and inpatients with an average infectious waste generation of 0,08–2,18 kg/patient/day. Thus, the three rooms can become a priority for infectious waste management. Factors that significantly affect the generation of infectious waste are dominated by patients and medical personnel. The importance of this factor is related to waste sorting activities. Therefore, special control by hospital management is needed for these two factors. Keywords: hospital, generation, infectious waste, treatment room, factors   ABSTRAK Peningkatan aktivitas rumah sakit akan diikuti dengan peningkatan timbulan limbah infeksius. Limbah infeksius mengandung organisme patogen yang dapat menyebarkan penyakit bagi manusia dan lingkungan. Dampak limbah infeksius dapat diminimalisir melalui kegiatan pengelolaan limbah yang tepat, dimulai dari timbulan limbah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji secara mendalam hal seputar timbulan limbah infeksius, dimulai dari persentase timbulan limbah infeksius rumah sakit secara keseluruhan, besaran timbulan limbah infeksius dari setiap sumber (unit perawatan) serta analisa terhadap faktor yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap timbulan limbah. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar rekomendasi untuk pengelolaan limbah infeksius rumah sakit. Penelitian dilakukan di empat rumah sakit umum area Kota Bandung dan Cimahi. Data penelitian terdiri atas timbulan limbah infeksius dan non-infeksius (limbah umum) serta data atribut rumah sakit sebagai data faktor yang dianalisis pengaruhnya terhadap timbulan limbah. Analisis faktor menggunakan metode stepwise regression dengan signifikansi 0,05 (95% CI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan limbah infeksius memiliki persentase timbulan yang lebih kecil dibandingkan limbah non-infeksius (limbah umum) yaitu kisaran 38–47%. Unit perawatan yang menjadi penghasil limbah infeksius terbesar berasal dari unit haemodialisa, kamar operasi serta rawat inap dengan kisaran rata-rata besaran timbulan limbah infeksius sebesar 0,08–2,18 kg/pasien/hari. Dengan demikian, ketiga unit perawatan tersebut dapat menjadi prioritas pengelolaan limbah infeksius. Adapun faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap timbulan limbah infeksius didominasi oleh faktor jumlah pasien dan jumlah staf medis. Signifikan faktor ini berkaitan dengan kegiatan pemilahan limbah sehingga perlu pengendalian khusus poleh pihak rumah sakit terhadap kedua faktor tersebut.
