Abstract

This study explores the relationship between social welfare and employee aggressiveness, focusing on oppressive, threatening, and intimidating behaviors that create discomfort among employees. Employing a quantitative approach with correlation analysis, a sample of 100 employees was obtained using a non-probability sampling technique. The social welfare scale, adapted from Keyes, yielded a Cronbach's alpha of 0.952, while the aggressiveness scale, adapted from Ubaidillah, achieved a Cronbach's alpha of 0.926. The findings reveal a significant negative relationship between social welfare and employee aggressiveness. Pearson's product-moment correlation demonstrated a significance of 0.002, indicating that higher levels of social welfare are associated with reduced employee aggressiveness. These results hold implications for organizations seeking to foster positive work environments and mitigate aggressive behaviors, thereby enhancing overall employee well-being and productivity. Highlights: Relationship between social welfare and employee aggressiveness: This study examines the connection between social welfare and employee aggressiveness, focusing on oppressive behaviors and their impact on employee well-being. Quantitative approach and correlation analysis: The research utilizes a quantitative approach, employing correlation analysis to analyze the data collected from a sample of 100 employees. Importance of positive work environment: The findings highlight the significance of fostering a positive work environment to reduce employee aggressiveness and enhance overall well-being, ultimately leading to improved productivity. Keywords: Social welfare, employee aggressiveness, quantitative approach, correlation analysis, positive work environment.

Abstract

This research aims to shed light on user reception of the online dating application Tinder as a medium for self-disclosure, prompted by the surge in criminal activities and sexual violence incidents experienced by some users who readily engage with strangers in the virtual realm of social media dating. Employing qualitative research methods and Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding model, the study utilized in-depth interviews and purposive sampling for data collection. The qualitative analysis revealed three informants in a dominant position, two in opposition, and all informants engaged in negotiation. Key findings highlight user interest in Tinder's visually appealing features, including logos, colors, and messaging, along with a focus on the provided security measures and privacy policies. Notably, informants expressed reluctance to disclose personal information, deeming Tinder susceptible to criminal activities and sexual harassment. This study contributes valuable insights for enhancing the safety and user experience within online dating platforms. Highlights : User Perception: Explore how users perceive and engage with the Tinder app, focusing on visual elements and messaging features. Privacy Concerns: Uncover the hesitancy of users to disclose personal information due to perceived risks of criminal activities and sexual harassment. Abstract

This study utilizes a quantitative approach to examine the relationship between financial performance indicators (ROA, ROE, EPS, and OPM) and stock prices in the tourism and hospitality sector from 2018 to 2021. Secondary data, sourced from the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) containing annual financial reports of listed companies, was analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression. The results indicate that ROA and ROE do not significantly affect stock prices, while EPS has a positive and significant impact, supporting Hypothesis 3. OPM, however, does not demonstrate a significant influence on stock prices, contradicting Hypothesis 4. These findings emphasize the critical role of earnings per share (EPS) in evaluating stock performance in the sector. Highlight: This study examines the relationship between financial performance indicators (ROA, ROE, EPS, OPM) and stock prices in the tourism and hospitality sector. Results indicate that ROA and ROE do not significantly impact stock prices, while EPS plays a crucial role. OPM was found to have no significant influence on stock prices, suggesting EPS is a vital metric for assessing stock performance in this industry. Keywords: Quantitative Analysis, Financial Performance, Stock Prices, Tourism and Hospitality, Earnings per Share (EPS)

Abstract

General background the use of natural extracts in assessing toxicity has gained attention due to the growing interest in alternative medicine and natural products. Specific background Sesbania grandiflora, commonly known as turi putih, is a plant with potential medicinal properties, but its safety profile regarding hepatic toxicity remains inadequately explored. Knowledge gap while previous studies have examined various plants for their pharmacological effects, research specifically focusing on the hepatotoxicity of turi putih extract is lacking. Aims this study aims to evaluate the toxicity of ethanol extract from the bark of Sesbania grandiflora on liver function, as measured by SGOT and SGPT levels, in Mus musculus. Results showed no mortality or toxic symptoms in the mice exposed to the extract. Macroscopic examination of the liver indicated normal color, consistency, and shape. Statistical analysis yielded p-values of 0.502 for liver weight, 0.226 for SGOT, and 0.366 for SGPT, indicating no significant effects from the treatment. Novelty this research contributes new insights into the safety profile of Sesbania grandiflora, demonstrating its non-toxic effects at the tested doses. Implications the findings suggest that the bark extract of turi putih may be safe for use, highlighting its potential in herbal medicine without adverse hepatic effects. Highlights: No observed toxicity or mortality in mice after exposure to the extract. Normal liver function indicated by SGOT and SGPT levels. Potential safety of turi putih bark extract for medicinal use. Keywords: Turi Putih, Hepatotoxicity, Sesbania grandiflora, Mice, Ethanol Extract

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of utilizing herbarium media in improving science learning outcomes for fourth-grade students. The research employed a quantitative approach, specifically a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design method. The independent variable (X) was the experimental method using herbarium media, while the dependent variable (Y) was student learning outcomes. The study was conducted at SDN Gelam 1, with a sample size of 25 students (14 males and 11 females) from class IV. Data analysis was performed using a t-test. The results indicated that the use of dried plant herbarium media significantly influenced the learning outcomes of the students, with a significant value of 0.048 (<0.05). Consequently, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. The application of herbarium media demonstrated an 83.8% improvement in the cognitive learning outcomes of fourth-grade students, as it facilitated a better understanding of the subject matter. These findings suggest that employing the herbarium media experimental method can effectively enhance science learning outcomes for fourth-grade students at Gelam 1 Elementary School. Highlights: Herbarium media improves science learning: The use of herbarium media enhances the science learning outcomes of grade 4 students, providing a valuable resource for studying leaf bone shapes and connecting it to the surrounding environment. Experimental approach and design: The study employs a quantitative experimental approach Significance of learning media: Limited learning media can hinder student absorption in learning. The research highlights the importance of utilizing effective learning resources, such as herbarium media, to enhance student engagement and understanding in science education.
