Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between academic self-efficacy and mathematics learning outcomes among upper-grade students in elementary schools in Sidoarjo. The participants included 185 students from the Prohibition State Elementary School and MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kedungbanteng, ranging from fourth to fifth grade. The study employed an academic self-efficacy scale and utilized mathematics learning outcomes obtained from student report cards. Data analysis was conducted using saturated sampling analysis, revealing a correlation coefficient of 0.135 (p=0.033). The findings indicated a moderate level of academic self-efficacy in 43% of students, high academic self-efficacy in 17%, and very high academic self-efficacy in 9%. Additionally, the R-square results demonstrated that academic self-efficacy accounted for 1.8% of the variance in mathematics learning outcomes, suggesting that other factors also contribute to students' performance. These findings highlight the importance of considering academic self-efficacy and other influential factors in enhancing mathematics learning outcomes among elementary school students. Highlights: The study examines the relationship between academic self-efficacy and mathematics learning outcomes in upper-grade students from elementary schools in Sidoarjo. A total of 185 participants from Prohibition State Elementary School and MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kedungbanteng were involved in the study. Abstract

This qualitative study aimed to analyze the TikTok accounts of @ayuanzillah and @yusni.a, with a focus on the self-existence of teenagers in Jiken village. The study used purposive sampling and descriptive qualitative analysis to examine the videos uploaded on the accounts. The results showed that the videos were not original but rather copied from other sources, indicating a trend-following behavior rather than trend-setting. The TikTok celebrities exhibited a calm demeanor to maintain their online presence and avoid negative feedback from netizens. The motivational quotes shared on the platform were mostly based on personal experiences and aimed to inspire others. The study implies that TikTok celebrities can serve as role models for teenagers, but their influence should be monitored to ensure that they promote positive values and behaviors. Highlight: The study used purposive sampling and descriptive qualitative analysis to examine the TikTok accounts of @ayuanzillah and @yusni.a, with a focus on the self-existence of teenagers in Jiken village. Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of work discipline, work ethos, and work environment on employee performance using a quantitative method. The study collected data from 169 production employees using a questionnaire and analyzed the data using SPSS 22. The results showed that work discipline, work ethos, and work environment have a significant impact on employee performance, and these factors have a simultaneous effect on employee performance. The study's implication is that companies should prioritize work discipline, work ethos, and work environment to improve employee performance. The study adds to the growing body of research on the importance of these factors in enhancing employee performance. Abstract

This quantitative study aimed to examine the influence of training, rewards, and incentives on employee performance at CV Mulia Agung Sentosa in Mojokerto. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews from the entire population of 169 employees using a saturated sampling method. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 22 for windows. The results showed that training, rewards, and incentives had a significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The adjusted R Square value was 0.825 or 82.5%, indicating that employee performance was influenced by training, rewards, and incentives by 82.5%, while the remaining 17.5% was influenced by other variables. The findings suggest that companies should invest in training, rewards, and incentives to improve employee performance and increase productivity. Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of a child-friendly library at SDN Pagerwojo Sidoarjo and to describe the reading interest of high-class students at SDN Pagerwojo Sidoarjo. This type of research uses a qualitative case study approach. Data collection techniques used by researchers are observation, interviews, and documentation. From the results of data analysis conducted by interviewing several parties, it can be said that the management of the child-friendly library at SDN Pagerwojo is good in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. With the results of good management and good implementation, the reading interest of high-class students has begun to grow. In the data analysis conducted by researchers, it was found that there are obstacles in managing child-friendly libraries, namely library management has not yet led to digital library management. Highlights: Effective library management fosters students' reading interest: The study explores the impact of child-friendly library management on the reading interest of high-class students at SDN Pagerwojo Sidoarjo. Comprehensive approach to library management: The research highlights the importance of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating library services to create an engaging environment for students. Abstract

This research aims to investigate the necessity of conflict management for fostering organizational health. A healthy organization not only survives environmental changes but also adapts and develops in the long term according to established visions and missions. Utilizing the In-depth Interview and documentation methods, primary and secondary data sources were employed, including literature and internet resources. The qualitative data analysis involved data reduction and presentation. Findings reveal conflicts among operators at a fuel station, specifically concerning discipline, lack of responsibility, and insufficient cooperation in scheduling holidays. Interviews with a station supervisor highlight frequent conflicts, creating discomfort in the workplace. The study suggests the need for proactive conflict resolution strategies in fuel station management to enhance overall organizational effectiveness. Abstract

This research investigates the challenges faced by bus transportation services in Sidoarjo, highlighting the decline in passenger interest over time. Focusing on the year 2015 as a pivotal period for Sidoarjo's bus transportation development, the study employs a qualitative descriptive method to assess service quality through the lenses of reliability, responsiveness, and assurance. Findings reveal that while service officer responsiveness is commendable, improvements are needed in time clarity for reliability, and passenger assurances hinge significantly on the courtesy and friendliness of trans bus service officers. The study aims to provide recommendations for enhancing the appeal of Sidoarjo trans bus services to prevent declining enthusiasm among passengers, emphasizing the importance of comfort factors such as reliability, responsiveness, and assurance. Abstract

This qualitative research study with a phenomenological approach aims to investigate gratitude among overseas students and identify the factors that influence their experience of gratitude. The study involved two participants who were overseas students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data, which was then analyzed using data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The findings revealed three aspects of gratitude: gratitude through the heart, gratitude through words, and gratitude through deeds. Several factors were identified as influencing gratitude in overseas students, including accepting destiny, knowledge, experience, social support, spirituality, establishing relationships, good intentions, religious practice, inner calmness, and positive thinking. The implications of this research contribute to a deeper understanding of gratitude among overseas students and provide insights for fostering a sense of gratitude in this population. Abstract

This quantitative study investigates the impact of trust, risk perception, and perceived benefits on online repurchase intentions within the Tokopedia marketplace. Conducted in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, the research sampled individuals who had made multiple purchases on Tokopedia. Findings reveal that trust exerts a positive partial influence on online repurchase intentions, while risk perception and perceived benefits also influence repurchase intentions positively. Collectively, these factors underscore the complex dynamics of consumer behavior in the online marketplace, offering insights for e-commerce platforms and marketers seeking to enhance customer loyalty and repeat purchases. Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of deep cervical flexor exercise and neck callet exercise in improving neck functionality among university students with forward head posture. Through a quasi-experimental design, both exercises were implemented three times per week for four weeks, with neck functionality assessed using the Neck Disability Index. Results revealed significant improvements in both groups post-intervention, with mean pre-test scores decreasing from 38.166 to 31.500 for deep cervical flexor exercise and from 37.333 to 31.166 for neck callet exercise. A significant difference was observed between the two groups. These findings highlight the efficacy of targeted exercises in enhancing neck functionality and addressing the negative impacts of forward head posture associated with prolonged gadget use. Highlight: Improved neck function after targeted exercises in university students. Both exercises effective for addressing forward head posture.
