Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the partial effect of work ability and self-actualization on the work ethic of employees at the Communication and Informatics Office of Central Tapanuli Regency. This research was descriptive and quantitative, using a saturated sample of 42 employees. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the research findings, it was found that work ability and self-actualization had a 61.4% effect on work ethic, while the remaining 38.6% was influenced by other factors not examined in the study. Work ability and self-actualization had an effect on work ethic, with the calculated F (33.676) being greater than the F (3.22). Work ability had an effect on work ethic, with the calculated t value of 3.249 being greater than the calculated t value of 2.018. Work involvement had an effect on work ethic, with the calculated t value of 3.314 being greater than the calculated t value of 2.018. The positive sign in the multiple linear regression equation, Y = 4.919 + 0.439 X1 + 0.457 X2, indicates that work ethic will increase if employee work ability and self-actualization are good.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of supervision and work environment on employee morale at the Department of Industry and Trade of Sibolga City. The type of research used in this study is descriptive and verificative research with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study consisted of employees at the Department of Industry and Trade of Sibolga City, with questionnaires distributed to 30 (thirty) respondents. The results of the study show that based on the coefficient of determination analysis, a value of 0.780 was obtained. This means that 78% of the variation in the dependent variable (employee morale) is explained jointly by the independent variables (supervision and work environment), while the remaining 22% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study, such as communication, leadership, motivation, compensation, incentives, job division, rotation, and others. From the t-test results, it is known that the calculated t-value for supervision is 2.505 > t-table 2.05183 with a significance of 0.019 < 0.05, and for work environment is 6.106 > t-table 2.05183 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, the hypotheses stating that supervision has a positive and significant effect on employee morale and that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee morale at the Department of Industry and Trade of Sibolga City are accepted. Furthermore, from the F-test results, it is known that the calculated F-value is 47.841 > F-table 3.35 and the significance is 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, the hypothesis stating that supervision and work environment simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee morale is accepted.

The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze whether promotion and brand image of purchase decisions can facilitate employee duties in serving consumers of PT Duta Intiguna Yasa (MR. DIY) Central Tapanuli Regency. The type of research used in this study is the survey method, which is a method used to obtain data from certain natural places and research collects data through observation, dissemination of questionnaire documentation and interviews. The data analysis technique in this study is Multiple Linear Regression. Based on the autocorrelation test, the three variables, namely the promotion variable (X1) and the brand image variable (X2) with the purchase decision variable (Y) is 0.728 which means that there is a positive correlation and is classified as high correlation. Where from the results of regression analysis with the equation Y = 1.731 + 0.509 X1 + 0.429X2. The hypothesis proposed by the author reads the Influence of Promotion and Brand Image on the Purchase Decision of PT Duta Intiguna Yasa (MR. DIY) Central Tapanuli Regency is acceptable because the tcount value is 3.150 > ttable is 2.004 and the significant level value (Sig) is 0.003 < 0.05. It can therefore be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that Promotion (X1) has a significant effect on the Purchase Decision (Y). and tcount of 3.694 < ttable of 2.004 and significant level value (Sig) 0.001> 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, which means that Brand Image (X2) has an insignificant effect on the Purchase Decision (Y). The magnitude of the influence of variables X1 and X2 on variable Y is 0.530 or 74% and the remaining 47% is determined by other factors that are not discussed in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of strategic management on business performance by considering the role of competitive advantage as a mediating variable. The study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who were managers or company leaders. The data analysis techniques used were multiple linear regression and path analysis with the help of statistical software. The results of the study indicate that strategic management has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage. In addition, competitive advantage has also been shown to have a significant effect on business performance. Strategic management directly influences business performance, but the indirect effect through competitive advantage is proven to be stronger. This indicates that competitive advantage acts as a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship between strategic management and business performance. The coefficient of determination value indicates that business performance can be significantly explained by strategic management and competitive advantage, while the remaining is influenced by other factors outside the research model. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of implementing effective and sustainable strategic management in creating competitive advantage to improve company business performance.

This study aims to analyze the influence of product innovation on consumer purchasing decisions. In the face of increasingly fierce business competition, product innovation has become an important strategy used by companies to attract consumer interest and increase competitiveness. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative method. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who are consumers of the products studied, using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a Likert scale and has undergone validity and reliability tests. The data analysis technique used was simple linear regression with the help of statistical software. The results show that product innovation has a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions, with a regression coefficient value of 0.678 and a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). In addition, the coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.536 indicates that product innovation is able to explain 53.6% of the variation in purchasing decisions, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the study. These findings indicate that the higher the level of product innovation carried out by a company, the higher the likelihood of consumers making a purchase. Therefore, companies are advised to continue to innovate according to consumer needs and preferences in order to improve purchasing decisions and maintain competitive advantage.
