Abstract

Islamic education is not only oriented towards developing cognitive aspects, but also emphasizes the formation of religious character of students from an early age, especially at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level. This study aims to analyze the application of religious habituation in shaping the religious character of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Jauharul Huda. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of the madrasah principal and class teachers. The results of the study indicate that religious habituation at MI Jauharul Huda is carried out routinely and scheduled through various activities such as, dhuha prayer, dzuhur prayer in congregation, reading and writing the Qur'an (BTQ), memorization, prayers before and after learning, and the implementation of the 5S culture (greeting, smiling, greeting, politeness and courtesy). These habits have a positive impact on the formation of students' religious character, which is reflected in attitudes of discipline, honesty, and responsibility. The success of the program is supported by the role of the principal, teachers, and parents. The obstacles faced include limited student equipment, lack of parental attention, and less than conducive classroom conditions. This research is expected to provide evaluation material and recommendations for madrasas in optimizing student character development.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged the use of interactive learning media such as Wordwall and Crossword Labs in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to evaluate the level of usability of the two applications using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The SUS method was chosen because of its ease and effectiveness in measuring user satisfaction with the system. Data were collected through the SUS questionnaire from respondents who had used both applications in the learning context. The instrument used was the SUS questionnaire consisting of 10 statement items. The study was conducted with a descriptive quantitative approach to 85 teacher respondents. The results showed that the average SUS score for Wordwall and Crossword Labs was 86, which was in the "Excellent" category. This shows that the Wordwall and Crossword Labs applications have a satisfactory level of usability in the very good category. These findings provide an overview that both applications are worthy of being used as interactive learning media that can increase student motivation and engagement.

Abstract

Effective school public relations (PR) play a strategic role in strengthening school–community partnerships that support educational quality and institutional sustainability. Although numerous studies have explored school–community collaboration, limited attention has been given to public relations strategies grounded in the multicultural identity and local wisdom of post-conflict communities such as Ambon, Indonesia. This study aims to analyze school public relations strategies for developing effective partnerships within the multicultural context of Ambon City, Maluku Province. A qualitative literature review with a descriptive-analytical approach was employed by examining books, peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, and educational policy documents related to school public relations, community partnerships, multicultural education, and Maluku local wisdom. The findings reveal six major strategies for strengthening school–community partnerships: (1) involving community and religious leaders as trusted partners, (2) developing school programs based on Maluku cultural values, particularly pela gandong, (3) implementing inclusive and sustainable two-way communication, (4) utilizing digital communication and social media strategically, (5) establishing partnerships with local government, religious organizations, and community institutions, and (6) strengthening the role of school committees as institutional bridges. These findings highlight that culturally responsive public relations practices contribute significantly to building trust, promoting social cohesion, and enhancing educational collaboration in multicultural communities. This study offers practical recommendations for school leaders and educational policymakers in designing culturally grounded public relations strategies applicable to multicultural educational settings.
