Abstract

This study aims to examine the theories of human resource development (HRD) in Islamic education and to identify the modern challenges it faces. Employing a qualitative approach and utilizing the method of library research, the findings of this study highlight that HRD in Islamic education is a form of human investment—a strategic process aimed at shaping Muslim individuals who are intellectually, morally, and spiritually competent. The study explores various theoretical concepts and discusses learning outcomes across three essential domains: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Islamic education is not solely focused on academic achievement; it also emphasizes the holistic development of human potential, including the intellect (‘aql), heart (qalb), soul (ruh), self (nafs), and natural disposition (fitrah). The study also identifies a range of modern challenges—both internal and external—faced by Islamic education today, including advances in science and technology, democratization, moral decline, educational inequality, modernization and secularization, and multiculturalism.

Abstract

Understanding fiqh is an essential aspect of Islamic religious education, as it is directly related to the practice of worship and daily life of students. However, various challenges are still encountered in the learning process, such as low learning motivation, differences in students’ abilities, and the use of less varied teaching methods. Therefore, this study aims to examine teachers’ strategies in improving students’ understanding of fiqh. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that teachers’ strategies in enhancing students’ understanding of fiqh include the use of varied learning methods, such as discussions, demonstrations, and practical activities, the utilization of relevant learning media, and the provision of continuous motivation and guidance. In addition, teachers adapt their teaching strategies to the characteristics and abilities of students. The application of appropriate strategies can significantly improve students’ understanding of fiqh. This study is expected to serve as a reference for teachers in developing more effective and contextual fiqh learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of philosophy in national education as a fundamental basis for formulating objectives, curricula, learning methods, and nation-building. Indonesian national education cannot be separated from the values of Pancasila as the foundation of the state, which serves as the philosophical basis for the implementation of education. This foundation is confirmed in Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, which emphasises the holistic development of students' potential, including spiritual, intellectual, moral, and social aspects. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research type. Data was obtained through a review of laws and regulations, books, and scientific journals relevant to the philosophy of education, including the thoughts of Ki Hajar Dewantara as a national education figure. The data analysis technique used content analysis to identify the main concepts and their relationship with the national education system. The results of the study show that philosophy plays a normative and conceptual role in determining the direction of national education, shaping the character of students, and serving as a guideline in facing the challenges of globalisation. Thus, strengthening the philosophical foundation of education is important so that the national education system remains rooted in national values and relevant to the times.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the worship practice method in improving students’ learning outcomes in Fiqh learning at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) level. Fiqh learning, which is practical in nature, requires an approach that emphasizes not only cognitive aspects but also psychomotor and affective aspects. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design in the form of a one group pre-test and post-test. The research subjects were eighth-grade students at one MTs. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation. The results indicated a significant improvement between pre-test and post-test scores. The N-gain calculation showed a moderate to high improvement category. In addition, students demonstrated increased practical skills, activeness, and self-confidence in performing worship practices. These findings indicate that the worship practice method is effective in improving students’ understanding and practical skills in Fiqh learning.

Abstract

Learning strategy is a series of planned activities that include methods, techniques, and the utilization of instructional media designed systematically to achieve educational objectives. This study aims to describe teachers’ strategies in improving students’ understanding in Fiqh subjects. The research problem focuses on how teachers implement strategies to enhance students’ comprehension of Fiqh. This study employs a qualitative approach with a library research design. Data were obtained through literature review and analysis of relevant books, scientific journals, and academic documents. The findings indicate that, based on the literature, improving students’ understanding begins with the preparation of Lesson Plans (RPP), the preparation of learning materials and media, and the selection of appropriate approaches, models, and methods aligned with students’ characteristics and classroom conditions. Effective learning interaction positions the teacher as an educator, mentor, and role model for students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of character values in Fiqh learning at MTS Baitul Qur’an, focusing on the transformation of Islamic law into students' actual behavior. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through direct observation of the teaching-learning process and students' worship patterns, as well as an analysis of behavioral evaluation records to review the consistency between planning and character implementation in the field. The results indicate that character implementation is carried out systemically. Fiqh materials are directly linked to character values, such as amanah (integrity) in muamalah and thaharah (cleanliness) as a reflection of self-discipline. Character reinforcement occurs through strictly monitored worship routines in accordance with school regulations. Assessment is conducted through behavioral tracking and documentation of students' worship practices. In conclusion, Fiqh learning at MTs Baitul Qur’an effectively shapes religious and social character through the synchronization of curriculum planning and consistent behavioral supervision.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Christian Religious Education in the family in shaping the mental, spiritual, and character development of children. The family is the first and primary environment in a child’s educational process, including in instilling Christian faith values. Through guidance, teaching, and the example set by parents, children are introduced to spiritual values that serve as the foundation for shaping their mindset, attitudes, and behavior in daily life. Faith education carried out within the family helps children know God, understand His Word, and develop a healthy spiritual life from an early age. This research uses a literature study method by reviewing various relevant sources such as books, scientific journals, and theological references related to Christian Religious Education and character formation in children. The results of the study indicate that the role of parents as educators of faith is very important in shaping the mental, spiritual, and character development of children. Christian values such as love, honesty, humility, faithfulness, and concern for others can be instilled through habituation, teaching, and parental example in family life. Therefore, Christian Religious Education within the family has a significant contribution in forming children who are faithful, possess good character, and are able to apply Christian values in their social life.

Abstract

Group counseling is a service available in guidance and counseling science that utilizes group dynamics of 6-8 people and aims to help alleviate student problems. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of group counseling services with various approaches. Researchers used a relevant literature study method in the 2019-2025 time period. The results of the study indicate that group counseling services with various approaches can minimize and reduce student truancy behavior. In addition, group dynamics can also encourage students to develop self-awareness, behavioral control, and responsibility in their learning activities. Therefore, researchers suggest that group counseling services can be an effective strategy for guidance and counseling teachers in helping overcome student truancy behavior at school.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impostor phenomenon in Generation Z and its implications for guidance and counseling. The method used is a systematic literature review by analyzing 21 relevant scientific articles published between 2021 and 2026. The results show that the impostor phenomenon is relatively high among Generation Z and is associated with low self-efficacy, self-esteem, and resilience. This condition contributes to increased anxiety, stress, and obstacles in academic and career development. From a guidance and counseling perspective, this phenomenon can be addressed through services such as individual counseling, group guidance, and cognitive restructuring techniques to help modify negative thought patterns. Therefore, an active role of counselors is needed to help individuals build self-confidence and better understand their potential.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of family problems on the mental health of adolescents using a literature review approach. This study analyzes 20 scientific articles published in the last five years to identify various family factors that influence the psychological condition of adolescents. The analysis results show that family problems have a strong relationship with the mental health of adolescents. Several influencing factors include inadequate economic conditions, parental divorce (broken home), ineffective family communication, inappropriate parenting styles, disharmonious family relationships, and minimal emotional support, all of which contribute to an increased risk of psychological disorders such as stress, anxiety, and depression. On the other hand, families that can provide emotional support, build good communication, and implement positive and supportive parenting styles can be protective factors that strengthen the resilience and mental well-being of adolescents. Therefore, the family can be considered the main factor influencing the psychological condition of adolescents compared to other environmental factors.
