This study aims to answer the question of how to implement "creative thinking and Innovation" training for MSME owners and managers and what problems are faced in implementing the training and what solutions are offered to overcome existing problems. This is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was obtained through semi-structured interviews with MSME managers and training managers. The results of the study indicate that the role of E-commerce is very large in providing creative thinking training for MSME managers. To maintain the quality of training, aspects of materials, methods and instructors must be the concern of the organizers.

Abstract

This study discussed the role of law as an instrument for realizing social justice in Indonesia through the perspective of philosophy of science. Law was not only understood as a set of formal norms but also as a means of social transformation grounded in ontological, epistemological, and axiological foundations. Using a normative juridical research method and a qualitative approach based on literature review, this research analyzed the contributions of various legal theories and theories of justice including Satjipto Rahardjo’s responsive law, John Rawls’ theory of distributive justice, H.L.A. Hart’s legal positivism, Amartya Sen’s development paradigm, and Alasdair MacIntyre’s ethics of justice in shaping a legal framework that was inclusive and responsive to complex social realities. The findings showed that law in Indonesia had the potential to become a catalyst for social change through redistributive policies, protection of vulnerable groups, and strengthening of community solidarity. The perspective of philosophy of science deepened the understanding of the relationship between law and social justice, particularly in explaining the nature of law as an adaptive institution (ontology), the process of legal knowledge formation (epistemology), and the substantive values of justice underpinning legal practice (axiology).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of financial leverage in predicting earnings per share (EPS) using a panel data approach. Leverage is measured using the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), while EPS is used as the main indicator of the company's profitability performance. The research sample consists of non-financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2018–2023, selected using purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used is panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach, which was chosen based on the results of the Hausman test. The research results indicate that leverage has a negative and significant impact on EPS, which suggests that excessive use of debt can reduce earnings per share due to high interest expenses. These findings have important implications for company management in optimally managing capital structure and for investors in assessing the company's financial risk.

Abstract

Job satisfaction and employee performance are two crucial aspects that are interrelated in human resource management. Research shows that there is a positive correlation between job satisfaction and employee performance, where satisfied employees tend to show higher productivity, stronger levels of commitment, and lower absenteeism. However, the literature also indicates that this relationship is influenced by various other factors, such as intrinsic motivation, personal values, and work environment conditions. Therefore, management needs to consider the broader context to ensure sustainable improvements in employee performance. Contemporary approaches emphasise the importance of an integrated strategy, which not only increases job satisfaction but also creates a supportive work environment to achieve optimal performance. An effective HRM strategy will take into account both psychological and structural aspects to maximise employee performance and thus have a positive impact on the whole organisation.

Abstract

The implementation of the death penalty for corruptors in Indonesia is criticized for its ineffectiveness in deterring corruption and its inconsistency with the country’s commitment to upholding human rights. While some nations enforce the death penalty for corruption with minimal success, others achieve better results through preventive measures that do not involve capital punishment. The death penalty is seen as contradicting Indonesia's legal framework and international human rights obligations, as it is equated to state-sponsored premeditated murder. As an alternative, this paper proposes impoverishing corruptors by recovering misappropriated state assets and imposing restrictions on their civil and political rights, thereby preventing recidivism and reducing future harm to the state. This approach would align with human rights principles while fostering a more effective anti-corruption strategy.

Abstract

This research aims to critically analyze the influence of social media on the identity construction process of teenagers in the digital era. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study explores the complexities and nuances of the interactions between social media use and adolescent identity development. The research methodology involves a systematic search and in-depth analysis of a variety of academic sources, including scientific journals, books and relevant research reports. These sources are selected based on their relevance, credibility, and novelty to provide a broad understanding of the topic. The research results reveal that social media plays a significant role in adolescent identity formation, offering a platform for self-exploration, expression, and social connection. However, this research also highlights the potential negative consequences of excessive engagement in social media, such as pressure to conform, social anxiety, and the formation of a fragmented identity. Further critical analysis explores the long-term implications of teens' digital footprints on social media, as well as the critical role of digital literacy and online reputation management in navigating this complex landscape. This study emphasizes the need for a collaborative approach involving youth, parents, educators, and society to support healthy identity development in the digital era. This research provides valuable insight into the influence of social media on adolescents' identity construction and highlights the need for comprehensive strategies to empower adolescents to harness the positive potential of social media while addressing its risks. The findings from this literature study provide a strong foundation for further research and the development of effective interventions to support healthy adolescent identity development in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of working capital management on the profitability of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019–2023. Working capital is proxied through three main components, namely accounts receivable turnover, inventory turnover, and accounts payable, while profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA) and Net Profit Margin (NPM). The research method used is a quantitative approach with a causal- comparative type of research and panel data regression analysis techniques to identify cause-and-effect relationships between variables. The research results indicate that the effectiveness of managing receivables and inventory significantly positively affects the company's profitability, while the use of trade credit as short-term financing also contributes positively if managed proportionally. This research emphasizes the importance of integrated working capital management strategies to enhance operational efficiency and the competitiveness of companies in the manufacturing sector. The implications of these findings provide practical guidance for financial managers in designing optimal working capital policies to achieve sustainable profitability.

Abstract

Social media plays an important role in increasing public participation. Platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram enable the rapid and widespread dissemination of information among the public, so that people become more informed about important issues. In addition, social media provides a space for people to express their opinions and interact directly with policymakers, creating a more inclusive and democratic form of participation. Through social media, individuals are able to engage in public discussions, contribute to social movements, and influence societal decision-making processes. However, the positive impact of social media on public participation must also be managed wisely due to significant challenges. The spread of inaccurate news and misinformation through social media can cause confusion and conflict in society. Algorithms that favor controversial or extreme content also have the potential to exacerbate political polarization and divide communities. To face these challenges, good digital literacy is needed so that people can be more critical in evaluating the information they receive and share. In addition, collaboration between the government, social media platform administrators and the public is needed to ensure that social media can be utilized positively and constructively to increase public participation. With the right approach, social media has the potential to be an effective tool to create a more inclusive, transparent and responsive public decision-making process.
