Abstract

The development of Blok M, Jakarta, as an urban tourism area offering culinary, recreational, entertainment, and social experiences has made it increasingly relevant to Generation Z. In selecting and evaluating destinations, Generation Z obtains information not only through digital media but also through interpersonal communication in the form of word of mouth (WOM). This study aims to explore the role of WOM in shaping Generation Z's revisit intention at Blok M, Jakarta. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed with 30 Generation Z informants aged 21–27 who had previously visited Blok M. Data were collected through Google Forms using open-ended questions and analyzed thematically. The findings show that friends or personal relations were the dominant sources of interpersonal WOM, particularly regarding culinary destinations, hangout places, the area's atmosphere, and youth-oriented activities. Source credibility, the recommender's experience, relationship closeness, and supporting information from social media influenced how informants evaluated WOM. Actual experiences subsequently confirmed or corrected expectations formed through recommendations. Twenty-five of the 30 informants expressed an intention to revisit, mainly due to the variety of culinary and recreational options, a youth-oriented atmosphere, accessibility, and the presence of many places that had not yet been explored. However, discrepancies between recommendations and actual experiences could weaken the desire to return. The findings indicate that WOM functions as both an information source and an expectation-forming mechanism that, together with actual experiences, contributes to the formation of Generation Z's revisit intention at Blok M, Jakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of product innovation on marketing performance with competitive advantage as a mediating variable among traditional Balinese clothing MSMEs in Gianyar Regency. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative design based on the Resource-Based View (RBV) perspective. The sample consists of 50 respondents selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that product innovation has a positive and significant effect on marketing performance. Product innovation also has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage. Furthermore, competitive advantage has a positive and significant effect on marketing performance and is proven to partially mediate the relationship between product innovation and marketing performance. These findings suggest that the ability of MSMEs to develop product innovation and transform it into competitive advantage is a key factor in enhancing marketing performance more effectively. Theoretical implications of this study reinforce the role of product innovation in creating competitive advantage that enhances marketing performance, while practically, MSMEs should focus on developing unique designs and motifs, improving product quality, and leveraging local cultural values to avoid price-based competition and increase market attractiveness.

Abstract

The development of the halal industry has become an important strategy in strengthening sustainable economic growth, particularly through the integration of halal principles into agribusiness activities. Agribusiness micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have a strategic role in building a sustainable halal ecosystem; however, many MSMEs still encounter challenges related to halal literacy, certification readiness, business management capability, and halal supply chain implementation This study aims to map the dimensions of halal industry readiness of halal industry implementation among agribusiness MSMEs as an initial foundation for developing a sustainable halal ecosystem. This study employs an exploratory descriptive approach based on literature analysis, secondary data examination, and conceptual framework development. The research identifies key dimensions of halal industry readiness among agribusiness MSMEs by integrating halal management theory, halal supply chain concepts, and regional agribusiness characteristics. The analysis focuses on five dimensions, including halal awareness, halal certification readiness, management capability, halal supply chain readiness, and institutional support. The analysis suggests that strengthening halal agribusiness ecosystems requires integrated strategies through education, certification assistance, managerial improvement, and digital transformation. This study provides a readiness mapping framework that can support the development of halal MSME empowerment models and sustainable halal agribusiness ecosystems.

Abstract

Repurchase intention refers to a consumer's tendency to purchase a product again within a certain period. Good product quality can increase repurchase intention by building consumer trust. This study aimed to examine the role of trust in mediating the effect of product quality on repurchase intention for Dupa Kaori in Denpasar. The population of this study was consumers’ who purchased Dupa Kaori products in Denpasar City, with a sample size of 120 respondents using a purposive sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Hypothesis testing in this study used path analysis with SPSS version 26. The results show that product quality and trust have positive and significant effects on repurchase intention; product quality has a positive and significant effect on trust; and trust mediates the relationship between product quality and repurchase intention at Dupa Kaori in Denpasar City. Theoretically, this study strengthens the S-O-R (Stimulus–Organism–Response) theory, which explains that product quality as a stimulus can build consumer trust and thereby encourage repurchase intention. Practically, the findings provide input for Dupa Kaori in Denpasar to continuously improve product quality and maintain consumer trust to increase repurchase intention.
