Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of turbine blade tip gap on the tipshoe during the performance test of the Centaur 40 type 4501 single-shaft gas turbine engine. The research was conducted through a literature review, observation of the assembly process, and analysis of performance test data obtained from PT. Nusantara Turbin. The procedures included reassembling the main components of the Centaur 40 gas turbine, preparing the test setup through instrument calibration, lubrication system inspection, cleaning of air and fuel lines, and installing the turbine on the skid test bed. The measured performance parameters consisted of pressure (P1, P2), temperature (T1–T4), and turbine output power (Ẇsiklus). The results indicate that the blade tip gap significantly affects turbine performance. A larger gap reduces performance due to increased T4, decreased effective mass flow, and higher fuel flow, resulting in lower output power. Conversely, a smaller gap leads to optimal performance because more gas energy is absorbed by the turbine, reducing T4, increasing mass flow, and lowering fuel consumption. The study concludes that maintaining an appropriate gap clearance is essential for achieving optimal performance of the Centaur 40 gas turbine. Furthermore, the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) procedures performed were consistent with manufacturer standards and successfully restored engine performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that hinder the welfare of farmers in Tomok Village, Simanindo District, Samosir Regency. The population in this study consists of rice farmers. The sampling method used was simple random sampling, involving three (3) rice farmers as respondents, along with several external sources relevant to the study. The data obtained were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The inhibiting factors affecting the welfare of rice farmers in Sangia Makmur Village include the number of family members, land area, and capital loans, which were found to have a significant correlation with welfare levels. Based on the discussion of the relationship between these inhibiting factors and the welfare of rice farmers in Tomok Village, it can be concluded that the welfare level of rice farmers in this village can be categorized as being at the poverty line. However, several farmers still face challenges such as a high number of dependents, limited land area, and outstanding capital loans. The relationship between the inhibiting factors and the welfare of rice farmers in Tomok Village indicates that internal factors—such as the number of family dependents, education level, productive age, and selling value of harvests—affect the farmers’ welfare. Similarly, external factors such as agricultural extension assistance (PPL) and support from the village head also influence the advocacy and implementation of agricultural practices in Tomok Village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of family structure on student motivation and academic achievement using a phenomenological qualitative approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 12 junior high school and high school students from intact families and broken homes. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis, through a process of coding, theme identification, and validation of results. The results show that family structure indirectly influences motivation and academic achievement through the quality of emotional relationships, social support, and student adaptation strategies. Students from intact families demonstrate stronger intrinsic motivation, while students from broken homes face emotional barriers but show high resilience through the support of teachers and the school environment. These findings emphasise the importance of an ecological approach and self-determination theory in understanding children's learning dynamics. The research recommendations emphasise the need for family-based school guidance interventions and psychosocial support across the education system

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between family structure, psychological development, and career orientation among early adolescents at the junior high school level. Family structure is considered one of the main social factors that influence identity formation, career efficacy, and emotional maturity in adolescents. The approach used was qualitative phenomenological, with 12 participants (6 from intact families and 6 from broken homes) in Bandung City. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and field observations, then analysed using reflective thematic analysis. The results showed that family emotional support, open communication, and parenting stability played an important role in shaping adolescents' emotional regulation and career orientation. Students from intact families showed higher levels of self-efficacy and career direction clarity compared to students from broken homes. However, some adolescents from broken families showed positive resilience through the support of teachers and a supportive school environment. These findings reinforce the ecological development framework and Social Cognitive Career Theory, which emphasise that career development is the result of interactions between psychological factors and social contexts. Practically, this study recommends strengthening family-based career guidance and counselling in schools to help students cope with the psychological and social dynamics resulting from changes in family structure. These results are expected to contribute to the development of more inclusive educational models and counselling services that are sensitive to the family context in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a deep learning-based Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning model through a multidisciplinary approach in order to improve students' conceptual understanding, value reflection, and critical thinking skills. The deep learning approach in the context of education emphasises meaningful and reflective learning processes, rather than mere memorisation, so that religious education becomes more contextual and relevant to the dynamics of the 21st century. The research method used was qualitative with a research and development (R&D) design, involving four stages: needs analysis, conceptual model design, cross-disciplinary expert validation (religious education, educational psychology, and learning technology), and limited implementation testing in three secondary schools in West Java. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, then analysed using reflective thematic analysis. The results showed that the deep learning-based PAI learning model significantly improved students' conceptual understanding, spiritual reflection skills, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Multidisciplinary integration (religion–science–technology) helped students relate Islamic values to current issues such as digital ethics and the environment. The use of technology and AI-based feedback also strengthened personalised learning and student engagement. This study reinforces the theories of constructive alignment, experiential learning, and technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) in the context of modern Islamic education. Practically, this study recommends strengthening the digital competence of Islamic education teachers, increasing cross-disciplinary collaboration, and educational policies that encourage the integration of deep learning and technology ethics in the Islamic education curriculum. The resulting model is expected to be a reflective, adaptive, and contextual learning framework in shaping a religious, critical, and characterful generation in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of parental support and self-efficacy in enhancing students’ learning motivation at the secondary education level. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation involving students, parents, and teachers. The findings reveal that parental support encompassing emotional, academic, and instrumental aspects plays a significant role in strengthening students’ motivation to learn. Students who receive consistent encouragement, guidance, supervision, and adequate learning facilities from their parents demonstrate higher intrinsic motivation and greater engagement in academic activities. Furthermore, self-efficacy emerges as a crucial internal factor influencing students’ persistence, optimism, and willingness to face academic challenges. The study also highlights that parental support contributes to the development of students’ self-efficacy, thereby creating a reinforcing effect on learning motivation. These results indicate that students’ motivation is shaped through the interaction between external factors (parental support) and internal factors (self-efficacy). This study suggests that efforts to enhance learning motivation should involve collaborative roles between families and schools, alongside strategies to strengthen students’ academic confidence in order to foster an optimal learning environment.

Abstract

Lifelong education is a concept that emphasises that the educational process does not stop at a certain age but continues throughout a person's life. This concept places education as an integral part of self-development, encompassing formal and non-formal learning as well as continuous life experiences. Lifelong education is based on the principle that humans are a unity of living and dynamic potential, so education must provide space for lifelong learning to adapt to changes and the needs of the times. The role of lifelong education is very important in shaping an independent, adaptive, and productive learning society. Thus, lifelong education is the basis for comprehensive and sustainable education policies and the foundation for improving the quality of life of individuals and society.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of constructing Cross-Border Posts (PLBN) on the local economy and connectivity of border areas. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document review at PLBNs that have operated as centers of cross-border activities. The study's results demonstrate that the development of PLBN significantly contributes to enhancing economic activities, including the growth of MSMEs, increased cross-border trade volumes, and expanded job opportunities for local communities. On the other hand, the integration of PLBN with road networks and transportation infrastructure has been proven to improve accessibility, reduce logistics costs, and accelerate the mobility of goods and people in border areas. However, the study also identified several challenges, including inequality in supporting infrastructure, limited capacity among local business actors, and institutional barriers that reduce the effectiveness of PLBN as a driving force for the border economy. Overall, PLBN has excellent potential to catalyze economic development and regional connectivity; however, its long-term success requires the integration of cross-sectoral policies, improvement of basic services, and strengthening of regional governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Law No. 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining and identify the direction of policy reform needed in the mineral and mineral sector in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach based on systematic literature studies, the research examined various international academic articles, global organization reports, policy documents, and government publications related to extractive sector governance. The results of the study show that the 2009 Mineral and Mineral Law marks an important paradigm shift in natural resource management through strengthening the role of the state and reforming the licensing system. However, its implementation still faces significant challenges such as weak central-regional coordination, limited supervisory capacity, and ineffective law enforcement against environmental and social violations. The literature also reveals that institutional and governance factors are the main determinants of regulatory success, not just the substance of the law. Therefore, further reforms are needed in the form of regulatory harmonization, institutional capacity building, strengthening transparency mechanisms, and the adoption of mine monitoring technology. This research contributes to understanding the dynamics of mining policy and offers directions for strengthening the governance of the mineral and mineral sector in the future
