Abstract

Background: PT. XYZ is a telecommunications company that provides telecommunications network support and maintenance services. The company experienced disruptions in its logistics processes, resulting in losses equivalent to 60% of its total logistics costs. Because PT. XYZ had difficulty monitoring material deliveries, an information system in the form of a logistics transportation monitoring application was developed. However, the application has been operational for only six months. Infor mation systems (IS) have become an increasingly important field of study in business organizations because of the need to better understand the value generated by information and information technology. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the success and net benefits of PT. XYZ’s Logistics Transportation Monitoring Application. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach by surveying 133 application users. The data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS to identify the factors influencing application use, user satisfaction, and net benefits. The DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model was used as the theoretical framework. Results: The hypothesis-testing results show that information quality and system quality have positive effects on user satisfaction. System quality and service quality positively affect application use, while user satisfaction and application use positively affect the net benefits of the Logistics Transportation Monitoring Application. Conclusion: The evaluation based on the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model and PLS-SEM analysis using SmartPLS, with data from 133 respondents, shows that seven of the nine proposed hypotheses are supported. User satisfaction and application use are the primary drivers of the net benefits generated by the Logistics Transportation Monitoring Application.

Abstract

Background: Within the vocational education sector, educator performance serves as a fundamental determinant of graduate quality; however, it frequently encounters constraints arising from rigid institutional structures and inadequate digital proficiency. Objective: This study examines the influence of organizational culture, self-efficacy, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills, both directly and indirectly, on the performance of educators at the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic (PPI) Curug. Methods: A quantitative research design employing a survey method was applied to 85 respondents consisting of lecturers and instructors. Path analysis using SPSS software served as the primary data analysis technique. Results: The findings indicate that (1) organizational culture has a direct positive effect on educator performance (βy1 = 0.024); (2) self-efficacy has a direct positive effect on educator performance (βy2 = 0.488); (3) ICT skills have a direct positive effect on educator performance (βy3 = 0.499); (4) organizational culture has a direct positive effect on ICT skills (βz1 = 0.563); and (5) self-efficacy has a direct positive effect on ICT skills (βz2 = 0.328). Furthermore, ICT skills function as a mediating variable by mediating (6) the relationship between organizational culture and educator performance (β = 0.698), and (7) the relationship between self-efficacy and educator performance (β = 0.639). Conclusion: These findings confirm that ICT skills serve as a significant mediating construct in the relationship between organizational culture and self-efficacy on educator performance. The study recommends that PPI Curug management prioritize competency-based ICT training programs and self-efficacy enhancement strategies as integrated components of human resource development policy to improve overall educator performance in the digital era of aviation vocational education.

Abstract

Background: Indonesian brands increasingly rely on story-driven Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC), yet the role of User-Generated Content (UGC) in shaping consumer identity on social media remains underexplored. Objective: This study examines the intersection of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) practices and consumer identity construction on social media, focusing on User-Generated Content (UGC), such as unboxing videos, haul videos, and brand challenges, within Indonesia’s digital culture. Methods: This study used an integrative literature review of studies published from 2005 to 2026, analyzed through Judith Butler’s performativity framework and Consumer Culture Theory (CCT). Of the 187 records initially identified, 38 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. Results: This study identifies three main findings. First, engineered authenticity has become the dominant IMC strategy, in which marketing effectiveness depends on brands acting as story catalysts rather than narrative centers. Second, UGC practices represent active identity performativity; Indonesian consumers perform their identities by citing social norms related to class, gender, and success, with local characteristics such as identity dualism among nonconventional groups and the negotiation of women’s independence with religious values. Third, consumer content is ambivalent, as it reproduces consumerist ideologies while opening limited spaces for resistance, including parody, criticism, and alternative gender expression, although such resistance tends to be recuperated by platform logic. Conclusion: This study contributes to the integration of IMC as a discursive practice and offers implications for practitioners, particularly regarding transparency in engineered authenticity, and for regulators, especially in developing guidelines for sponsored content labeling.

Abstract

Background: Stunting remains a critical public health challenge in Indonesia, particularly in regions with pronounced gender inequalities in household decision-making. Serang Regency recorded one of the highest stunting prevalence rates nationally, at 39.43% in 2019, making it a priority area for accelerated intervention. Objective: This study examines gender leadership in handling stunting in Serang Regency, Banten Province, and constructs an evidence-based model for gender-responsive stunting management. Methods: A qualitative descriptive design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 key informants selected via purposive sampling, six months of field observations, and document analysis of regulatory instruments, including Regent Regulation No. 40/2021 and nutrition monitoring data from SSGI and e-PPGBM. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, method triangulation, and member checking. Results: The findings indicate that gender leadership is a determining factor in stunting prevention. Female leadership strengthens multi-stakeholder coordination through participatory and empathetic approaches, improves family health literacy, and addresses structural gender blindness in policymaking. Barriers include limited women’s representation in decision-making, gender-biased household norms, and constrained frontline resources. Conclusion: The gender leadership model rests on four pillars: women’s strategic leadership, community-based women’s leadership, gender-responsive policies, and community education for shared family roles—each reinforced by psychological dimensions. These findings provide practical guidance for local governments in designing sustainable stunting reduction strategies.

Abstract

Background: Hospital nutrition services support patient recovery and healthcare quality; however, unmet service attributes still cause dissatisfaction. Although service quality has been widely studied, the integration of SERVQUAL and the Kano Model for evaluating hospital nutrition services remains limited. Objective: This study aimed to assess patient satisfaction with hospital nutrition services in West Java by applying an integrated SERVQUAL and Kano Model approach to identify service quality gaps and prioritize areas for improvement. Methods: A cross-sectional quantitative study with a descriptive-analytical design was conducted involving 99 hospitalized patients receiving nutrition services at a hospital in West Java. Participants were selected using purposive sampling and had received nutrition services for at least two days. Data were collected using SERVQUAL and Kano Model questionnaires. SERVQUAL analysis measured the gap between patients' perceptions and expectations across five service quality dimensions, while the Kano Model classified service attributes according to their influence on patient satisfaction. Results: All SERVQUAL dimensions showed negative gap scores, indicating that patients' expectations exceeded their perceptions of the nutrition service. The largest gaps were observed in the assurance (Gap = −0.90), responsiveness (Gap = −0.88), and empathy (Gap = −0.87) dimensions, suggesting that these areas should be prioritized for service quality improvement. Kano analysis revealed that most service attributes were classified as attractive and one-dimensional, indicating that improvements in menu quality, food presentation, staff friendliness, and service responsiveness have the greatest potential to enhance patient satisfaction. Conclusion: The integration of SERVQUAL and the Kano Model effectively identifies priority areas for enhancing hospital nutrition services, particularly in the reliability and responsiveness dimensions. This integrated approach provides a systematic framework for improving service quality based on patient expectations and satisfaction determinants.

Abstract

Background: The television quiz show Family 100, broadcast on MNCTV, demonstrates the integration of commercial interests into family entertainment programming through prize-based promotional practices. Objective: This study aimed to examine the commodification of prizes as a form of embedded advertising and its implications for media economics and consumer culture. Methods: This qualitative study employed semi-structured interviews with producers, members of MNCTV’s creative team, and sponsors. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The validity of the findings was established through source, methodological, and theoretical triangulation. Results: The findings revealed three forms of commodification: content commodification through the integration of sponsored prizes into program narratives; labor commodification through creative processes shaped by commercial interests; and audience commodification through the transformation of viewers’ attention into a marketable asset for advertisers. Conclusion: The Family 100 program functioned not only as a form of entertainment but also as an economic space that reflected media capitalism through the symbolism of prizes and family-oriented narratives. The study underscores the importance of transparent disclosure of sponsored content by media practitioners and the establishment of clearer regulations governing embedded advertising by broadcasting authorities. Future research should examine audience reception, compare commodification practices across television genres, and investigate their transformation amid the convergence of television and digital media platforms.

Abstract

Background: Indonesia’s recent engagement with BRICS marked a strategic recalibration of its foreign policy amid intensifying great-power rivalries. Objective: This study aimed to examine how Indonesia employed a diplomatic hedging strategy to balance its relations with BRICS and the United States within an emerging multipolar world order. Methods: Using a qualitative research design that integrated document analysis and elite interviews, this paper analyzed Indonesia’s diplomatic discourse, policy statements, and trade relations during the 2022–2025 period. Results: The findings revealed that Indonesia’s multi-alignment behavior represented an adaptive evolution of its bebas aktif doctrine, emphasizing pragmatic engagement with competing powers while avoiding overdependence on any single bloc. This hedging behavior was manifested through selective economic cooperation, diversified partnerships, and cautious political signaling. Conclusion: This study contributed to the growing literature on middle-power diplomacy by offering empirical insights into Southeast Asia’s strategic autonomy under global systemic change. This paper argues that Indonesia’s multi-alignment policy strengthened regional stability while preserving strategic sovereignty within ASEAN’s centrality framework.

Abstract

Background: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are a reproductive health problem closely associated with socioeconomic conditions. Economic downturns can hinder access to timely sexual health services, condoms, and treatment, potentially increasing vulnerability to STIs. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the association between perceived socioeconomic decline and self-reported STI diagnosis among sexually active adults. Methods: This study used an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects were sexually active adults who met the eligibility criteria. Data were collected using structured questionnaires assessing perceived economic decline, sexual history, and STI diagnosis status. The association between economic decline and STI occurrence was analyzed using the chi-square test, and the prevalence ratio (PR) with a 95% confidence interval (CI) was reported. Results: This study involved 92 subjects, with a mean age of 30.49 ± 6.00 years. The proportion of STIs in the group experiencing economic decline was 31.3%, whereas the proportion in the group without economic decline was 10.7%. Perceived economic decline was associated with STI prevalence (PR = 2.917; 95% CI: 0.943–9.023; p = 0.036), although the CI crossing 1.0 warrants cautious interpretation. Conclusion: Economic downturn was associated with the incidence of STIs. Further research is recommended using a prospective design with multivariate analysis and clinically confirmed STI diagnoses. These findings have implications for public health practice, particularly in designing STI prevention programs that integrate economic support components and address socioeconomic vulnerabilities. Health policymakers should consider incorporating STI screening and education into social protection programs targeting economically distressed populations.

Abstract

Background: Stroke disproportionately affects resource-limited settings, where delayed access to specialist neurological evaluation limits eligibility for time-critical reperfusion therapies. Objectives: This review aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes, workflow efficiency, and implementation barriers associated with telestroke in resource-limited settings, thereby informing evidence-based strategies to improve equitable stroke care. Methods: This systematic review was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. PubMed, Scopus, and the Cochrane Library were searched for studies published between 2005 and 2025 that evaluated telestroke implementation in resource-limited settings. Eligible studies included randomized and observational designs reporting clinical outcomes, workflow metrics, or safety indicators. Due to substantial heterogeneity in study designs and outcome reporting, the findings were synthesized narratively. Results: Ten studies involving 13,786 patients were included. Across studies, telestroke was consistently associated with shorter door-to-needle and door-to-imaging times, higher rates of intravenous thrombolysis administration, and increased referrals for endovascular therapy. Several observational studies reported lower mortality rates in telestroke-supported care, whereas functional outcomes at 90 days demonstrated inconsistent findings. No study reported an increased risk of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage. Conclusion: Available evidence suggests that telestroke implementation in resource-limited settings may improve acute stroke workflow and access to reperfusion therapies without compromising safety, although improvements in functional outcomes remain limited. Telestroke represents a feasible strategy for enhancing equity in stroke care; however, broader system-level investment, infrastructure development, and rehabilitation capacity remain essential.

Abstract

Background: The 1965 political crisis marked a critical turning point in Indonesian history, shaping political culture and state–society relations. Although previous studies have examined political violence and regime consolidation, limited attention has been paid to how historiography normalized authoritarian values and political authority across generations. Objective: This study aims to analyze how historical narratives surrounding the 1965 crisis contributed to the formation and persistence of authoritarian political culture in Indonesia. Methods: This research employs a qualitative historical approach combined with historiographical analysis. Data were collected from historical archives, state narratives produced during the New Order period, historiographical literature, and scholarly works discussing political culture and authoritarian legacies in Indonesia. The data were analyzed using thematic discourse analysis to identify recurring political concepts embedded within official narratives. Results: The findings indicate that post-1965 historiography functioned not merely as a form of historical interpretation but also as an instrument of political legitimization. Specifically, state-sanctioned educational materials, such as the mandatory school curriculum portraying the PKI as a national threat, and the compulsory screening of Pengkhianatan G30S/PKI, reinforced hierarchical political norms. Narratives emphasizing stability, national unity, and anti-communism contributed to the construction of hierarchical political relations and the limitation of political pluralism. Furthermore, these political ideas continued to influence public trust, political participation, and perceptions of authority even after the democratic transition that followed the fall of the New Order regime in 1998. Conclusion: This study shows that historiography shapes political culture beyond regime change by sustaining authoritarian legacies through collective historical memory.
