Abstract

The paradigm of education has changed. Previously, education was seen and studied from a social point of view, but now society sees education more from a corporate point of view. Islamic educational institutions have to make strategies, especially to promote their programmes. This article uses a literature approach, where relevant literature is taken based on the topic of discussion. It will discuss various approaches proposed by experts, including distintive capabilities, profit capabilities, focus, communication, and innovation. These strategies must be implemented to ensure the sustainability of Islamic education institutions. However, the cornerstone that Islamic education marketing strategies must be is in accordance with Islamic principles and ethics, helping the cause of good education, and ensuring quality, honesty, and integrity. No matter how difficult it is to implement, there is a strategy. The things that hinder the marketing of these educational services are more temporary and stem from factors such as intense competition among existing schools, bureaucracy and frequently changing regulations, and lack of innovation from management. Undoubtedly, this situation should be prevented by using various methods that can show indications of increasing student interest, such as making clear and consistent regulations, improving the quality of education, and consistent evaluation. The existence of these preventive strategies and solutions will make Islamic education institutions better equipped to promote their educational programmes.

Abstract

Character education at the primary school (SD) level plays an important role in building students' personalities, especially in instilling the value of honesty. In contrast, numeracy is one of the basic skills that students should have to support additional learning. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how effective the integration of honesty cooperative with numeracy learning is as an innovative method to teach character and improve elementary students' numeracy skills. The main problem encountered was the absence of a method that could combine moral values and academic skills simultaneously. This research used a qualitative-descriptive approach and conducted a case study of an elementary school that implemented an honesty cooperative. Data were collected over eight weeks through observation of cooperative activities, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of transactions. The results showed that this model was able to increase student honesty by 85%, where students were more responsible in recording and paying for transactions. In addition, the numeracy test showed an increase in students' numeracy skills by 20-30%. Thus, the numeracy-based honesty cooperative is not only effective in shaping honest character but also in sharpening students' mathematical intelligence. This approach is relevant to be applied more widely in elementary schools.

Abstract

The phenomenon of toxic friendship among university students is a significant issue because of its impact on mental health, academic achievement, and individual social abilities. This study aims to identify forms of toxic friendship, provide education about healthy friendship relationships, and develop prevention strategies based on religiosity values. The methods used included psychoeducation and observation, which were applied to students of Bhayangkara University, Greater Jakarta. The intervention results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the impact of toxic friendship and the ability to manage interpersonal relationships in a healthier manner. The programme also emphasised the importance of integrating religiosity values as a foundation in establishing positive friendship relationships. This study recommends ongoing programmes such as communication skills training, support group formation, and psychological consultation services to address these challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the discipline of teachers in the learning process at UPTD SD Negeri Kenarilang. The approach used in this research is qualitative descriptive type, with the subjects of the principal, teachers and students of grades I to VI. Data collection was done through passive participation observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was the Miles and Huberman model. The researcher tested the credibility of the data through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that at the planning stage, all teachers were disciplined in making teaching modules, but the time for making them was different. At the implementation stage, teachers have been disciplined in displaying good attitudes such as fairness, politeness, and tolerance among others, but teachers still appear to lack discipline in terms of managing learning time. In the evaluation stage of learning outcomes, teachers have carried out evaluations according to applicable rules, but it seems that teachers only provide evaluations in the realm of knowledge (cognitive) only.

Abstract

In the midst of intense competition among educational institutions, strategic efforts are the key to the success of institutions in maintaining their existence and appeal to the public. One of the strategies that can be employed is the development of the institution's image. The success of implementing this strategy depends on a deep understanding of the institution's internal and external conditions. The importance of selecting the right method in line with the institution's situation and condition becomes a crucial factor in building a positive image among both internal and external stakeholders. Educational institutions need to identify their positioning, brand value, and appropriate concepts to create a strong and convincing image. Furthermore, institutions must highlight specific values that can be leveraged as a competitive advantage in the competition with other institutions. By implementing the right strategies and promoting these values of excellence, educational institutions can achieve high-quality education and enhance their competitiveness in the market. Overall, successful image development requires a holistic and sustainable approach. Thus, educational institutions can maintain their existence amidst increasingly fierce competition and continue to be sought after by the public.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies employed by Social Studies (IPS) teachers in shaping students' social attitudes at SMP Negeri 2 Sambas, as well as the efforts made to overcome the challenges encountered in the process. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that the strategies used by Social Studies teachers to develop students’ social attitudes include humanistic, spiritual (religious), and behavioral approaches. Additionally, teachers implement strategies such as providing examples, giving advice, offering rewards, and applying direct individual approaches to students. Another strategy involves forming student work groups to foster a sense of togetherness and cooperation. The teachers' efforts to address challenges in shaping social attitudes include using personal, religious, and behavioral approaches, giving guidance, and applying educational sanctions. These findings highlight the crucial role of teachers in shaping students’ social character through adaptive strategies rooted in humanitarian and religious values

Abstract

Social Studies education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and morality, in addition to providing knowledge about society, history, geography, and economics. In the era of globalization, which is full of challenges, Social Studies education must be able to respond to social dynamics such as social inequality and cultural identity changes. One important focus in Social Studies education is strengthening values and moral education, which is often overlooked in the academic context. Value-based and moral education can help create a generation of young people who are not only academically intelligent but also socially conscious and morally responsible. This study aims to explore the integration of value and moral education in Social Studies learning and the challenges and opportunities that arise in its implementation. The research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method that examines key theories regarding moral education, character development, and the integration of values into the Social Studies curriculum. The findings indicate that value-based education in Social Studies can shape students into individuals who not only understand social concepts but also have the ability to act with integrity, responsibility, and empathy. Overall, value-based education in Social Studies learning has great potential to shape students' character, making them not only knowledgeable but also active contributors to creating a more inclusive, just, and harmonious society

Abstract

The novel Buruh by Korrie Layun Rampan is a novel published by PT Gramedia Widiasarana Indonesia in 1978. This novel was written based on a culture that is very thick with the customs and beliefs of the Banuaq Dayak tribe, and is packed with magical and spiritual surprises. This is reflected in spiritual activities and beliefs that are still animistic and dynamic in the level of belief in ancestral power. There are important things that should be questioned, what is the form of ancestral hegemony of the Banuaq Dayak tribe, and how to resist the hegemony of the Banuaq Dayak tribe ancestors. To solve this problem, the author uses a sociological literary approach that focuses on Gramsci's Hegemony theory.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in the ability to recognize letters in group B children at TKKN St. Maria Tarawali through the use of letter tree media. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research with the research subjects being Kindergarten B children with a total of 18 children. This research was carried out in two cycles, cycle one held 1 meeting and cycle two held 1 meeting. Based on cycle 1 calculations, the researchers took action with quite good results because in the BSH (developing according to expectations) and BSB (very well developed) categories, there was progress with an increase in the number of 6 children and a percentage gain of 33.3%. This shows that in the Cycle 1 actions there was a significant change. Based on table 3. above, the researcher obtained satisfactory results with a significant increase because in the BB category (not yet developed) the score was only 0, meaning that the researcher had succeeded in making improvements in cycle 2, because there were no more children who had difficulty recognizing letters. Then in terms of improvement, we have seen the BSH category (developing according to expectations), namely an increase in the average score of 84 with a percentage of 33.3%. In the BSB category (very well developed) it has obtained a score of 9 with a percentage of 50%. In this statement it can be said that there is good progress with the ease that children have received in recognizing letters with evidence that there are some children who are able to carry out activities and get 4 stars or BSB (very well developed). The results of this research show that from this two cycle research it can be concluded that using letter tree media can stimulate and improve the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4-5 years at TKKN St. Maria Tarawali.
