Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of integrating character education into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in elementary schools 21 Lembah Melintang. Character education is a crucial aspect in shaping students' personality and noble character from an early age. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving several PAI teachers in elementary schools 21 Lembah Melintang. The findings show that character values such as religiousness, honesty, discipline, responsibility, and tolerance are integrated into PAI learning through active learning methods, teacher role modeling, and religious activities at school. However, the implementation of this integration still faces challenges, such as the lack of teacher training and limited instructional time. Therefore, support from all parties schools, families, and communities is needed to ensure that the integration of character education into PAI learning runs effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education has a crucial role in forming the basis for religious tolerance amidst the diversity of society. This article explores how Islamic religious education not only conveys its own basic teachings, but also how to appreciate and respect other beliefs. By examining the history and basic principles of Islam which emphasize tolerance and peace, this article provides insight into how these teachings are reflected in the Islamic education curriculum. Through curriculum analysis and teaching methodology, this article reveals how the concept of tolerance is integrated in Islamic education, providing concrete examples of educational institutions that have successfully implemented this approach. Apart from that, this article also discusses the challenges faced in implementing tolerance education and potential solutions to overcome them. Emphasis is placed on the importance of educating the younger generation with a broad and inclusive understanding of religious tolerance as the key to creating a harmonious society. Through this approach, Islamic religious education can be an effective tool for overcoming prejudice and promoting understanding between religious.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of play-based activities using picture storybooks on the development of language skills in early childhood at TK Dharma Wanita, Kotanopan, Kotanopan District. Language skills are a crucial aspect of early childhood development, directly linked to communication abilities, message comprehension, and verbal or non-verbal expression. Playing with picture storybooks is a fun and effective approach to stimulate children's language abilities by combining visual elements, imagination, and verbal interaction. This research employed a quantitative method using a quasi-experimental design, involving an experimental group and a control group. The findings reveal that children engaged in picture storybook play activities showed a significant improvement in speaking, listening, vocabulary, and story comprehension compared to those who did not receive the same treatment. These results suggest that integrating picture storybooks into play activities is an effective strategy for enhancing early childhood language skills

Abstract

This study aims to develop early childhood language skills through the folktale Si Kancil dan Buaya (The Clever Mouse Deer and the Crocodile). The folktale was chosen as a learning medium due to its educational, imaginative, and engaging values for children. The research was conducted at an early childhood education institution in Panyabungan using a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were group B children aged 5–6 years. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results revealed that storytelling using Si Kancil dan Buaya significantly improved children's language abilities, particularly in vocabulary development, story comprehension, retelling skills, and speaking confidence. The folktale served as an effective stimulus in fostering children's interest in language, stimulating imagination, and reinforcing social-emotional skills through the moral messages conveyed. Thus, the story of Si Kancil dan Buaya proves to be a relevant and effective medium for developing language skills in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of visual media usage in the language development of early childhood at an early childhood education institution in Panyabungan Kota. Visual media such as pictures, posters, flashcards, and educational videos serve as essential tools to stimulate children's language abilities, particularly in vocabulary acquisition, meaning comprehension, and speaking skills. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects were group B children selected purposively from a PAUD (early childhood education center). The research instrument consisted of language development observation sheets used before and after treatment. The results revealed a significant improvement in children's language abilities after the use of visual media in learning activities. Visual media effectively enhanced children's attention, interest, and understanding of the language material delivered. The study concludes that the use of visual media has a positive impact on the language development of early childhood and is recommended as an effective teaching strategy.

Abstract

The problem that is discussed in this study is, how the Qur'an explains the rights and obligations of women in the Right of Dowry and inheritance for them, then how the interpretation of the al-Ibriiz interpretation of these verses, and how the similarities and differences with other interpretations. The methodology used in this study includes the type of descriptive qualitative research, because the purpose of this study is to collect data on women's rights in the Qur'an using the Library Research method. In the process of searching for reference sources, the author looks for reading sources in the form of books, both interpretation books and other related textbooks, in the form of related scientific documents using research and other library sources. This type of qualitative research uses an analytical narrative method as a method to describe or present facts and facts in the research area. In Library Research, using sophisticated historical methods for women's rights to understand the meaning, which then becomes the focus of research using Islamic feminist analysis. The data is in accordance with the data from the level of understanding of the researcher.

Abstract

The objectives of this study include students' mastery of Arabic language text reading books used in secondary schools at the Dar Al-Ulum Institute, techniques used in teaching reading books, and challenges and expectations in teaching reading books in secondary schools at the Dar Al-Ulum Institute. The results of this study produce three conclusions: teaching reading books at the secondary school level at the Darul Uloom Moramais Institute is not found in certain places because of the many books used along with Arabic texts, and teaching reading books is adequate. As for the challenges and expectations in reading books at the secondary school level at the Darul Uloom Institute, both are motivating factors or inhibiting factors. Factors driving improved reading skills include teacher enthusiasm in teaching Arabic texts, the availability of learning resources that support and facilitate learning, and independent learning activities. A holy book reading competition is held annually at this institution. Factors contributing to students' lack of interest in learning to read include some students' weakness in reading Arabic texts and the Quran due to their lack of fluency in reading, difficulties in pronouncing letters when learning to read Arabic texts, and a significant number of students' tendency to be lazy in paying attention during class. The techniques used at the secondary level at this institution vary by lecturer, including the primary method of determining the type of textbook for each course. Most teachers employ a tiered approach, including lectures, memorization, and the method of reading books effectively.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of li'an in the Qur'an through a comparative study between Wahbah Az-Zuhaili's Tafsīr Al-Munīr and Abu ‘Abdullah Al-Qurṭubī's Tafsīr al-Qurṭubī. Li'an is an Islamic legal mechanism used to resolve accusations of adultery by a husband against his wife without the presence of four witnesses, as stipulated in Surah An-Nur verses 6-9. This study is motivated by the importance of protecting honor and justice in Muslim families, as well as the need for sharia solutions when sensitive and difficult to prove internal domestic conflicts occur. This study uses a qualitative method with a library study approach and comparative analysis. Data were collected through a review of primary and secondary literature, particularly the two major tafsir books that are the objects of the study. The analysis focuses on the interpretive methodology of both commentators, the substance of their explanations of li'an, and the differences and similarities in interpreting related verses. The results show that Tafsīr Al-Munīr and Tafsīr al-Qurṭubī both emphasize li'an as a sharia solution that prioritizes justice and maintains the honor of both parties in the household. Both highlight the importance of mutual curses as a substitute for testimony in cases of adultery accusations without witnesses, and emphasize the legal consequences of dissolution of marital relations and child lineage. However, there are differences in the emphasis on legal and social aspects: Tafsīr Al-Munīr emphasizes the dimensions of benefit and family protection, while Tafsīr al-Qurṭubī delves more deeply into the fiqh and historical aspects of li'an implementation in classical times.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of using artificial intelligence (AI) powered chatbots on second language acquisition among university students. Chatbots hold potential as interactive and personalized language learning tools. Data was collected from students using chatbots in their second language learning process and analyzed to understand the effectiveness of chatbots in improving language skills. The findings are expected to provide insights into the utilization of this technology in language learning contexts. The implications of this research can serve as a foundation for the development and implementation of chatbots as innovative and effective language learning aids.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of social interaction and the impact of digital media exposure on the language acquisition of four-year-old children from a psycholinguistic perspective. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study involved four four-year-old children with varying patterns of social interaction and device use. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of the children's conversations. The results indicate that children's language acquisition is strongly influenced by the quality of two-way social interaction and the type of linguistic input received. Children who receive consistent communication demonstrate more mature language development (phonology, syntax, and pragmatics). Conversely, children who are exposed to digital media more frequently and without supervision tend to experience speech delay, characterized by limited vocabulary and unclear articulation. This study concludes that positive social interaction and supervision of digital media use are key factors in determining early childhood language development.
