Abstract

PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero) yang dikenal sebagai renewable energy company bertujuan untuk menjadi perusahaan solusi dari habisnya energi tak terbarukan dan menjaga kelestarian bumi dari efek eksplorasi energi tak terbarukan. Dari pra-penelitian yang dilakukan, ditemukan persebaran informasi yang kurang merata dan minimnya pengetahuan mengenai visi misi pelestarian lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat mengetahui pola komunikasi dalam pertukaran informasi yang berkaitan dengan persoalan pelestarian lingkungan hidup dalam PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero).Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis, paradigma interpretatif melalui teknik pengumpulan data in depth interview terhadap 4 informan dengan latar belakang pribadi dan pengalaman yang berbeda sebagai karyawan PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero). Hasil penelitian ini adalah perusahaan lebih dominan menggunakan pola komunikasi satu arah dengan metode lisan dan tulisan, dan komunikasi yang terjadi di PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero) mengacu pada model komunikasi Lasswell. Persebaran informasi yang kurang merata disebabkan akibat karyawan tidak berpartisipasi aktif dalam pencarian informasi secara pribadi dan pergantian kebijakan pemimpin.

Abstract

This research is motivated by data from the Ministry of Manpower in 2022, showing that employee productivity in Central Java is low compared to other provinces in Indonesia, where Central Java ranks 27 out of 34 provinces. The district in Central Java that has a lower level of employee productivity compared to other districts is Jepara Regency. The research method used is explanatory quantitative research with a total sample of 100 respondents who are employees in Jepara Regency, aged 17-56 years, and have more than 1 year of work experience. The data collected were analyzed using two techniques, namely the Chi Square and Kendall's Tau B tests. The results showed that there was no relationship between leadership style and employee productivity (significance value 0.091). However, there is a relationship between communication patterns and employee productivity (significance value 0.04). In addition, there is a relationship between job satisfaction and employee productivity (significance value 0.00).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kasus kekerasan seksual yang menimpa laki – laki masih mendapatrespon ketidakacuhan dari publik. Namun, fenomena ini dihadirkan dalam film yang diteliti, yaitu“Penyalin Cahaya”. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bagaimana korban laki – laki direpresentasikan serta mengetahui ideologi yang terkandung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan paradigma kritis. Dielaborasi dengan teori standpoint dan metode analisis 5 kode pembacaan leksia RolandBarthes. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, dihasilkan temuan berikut. Kode hermeneutikmenunjukkan Tariq sebagai korban laki - laki telah menjadi produk konstruksi maskulinitas. Kode proairetik menunjukkan tindakan Tariq tidak merasa nyaman dan tertutup saat membahaskasusnya. Kode simbolik menunjukkan ciri maskulinitas pada sikap Tariq yakni berusaha tidakmeluapkan emosinya secara verbal. Kode kultural menunjukkan laki - laki harus menuruti nilaimaskulinitas setiap waktu agar dipandang sebagai laki - laki ideal. Kode semik menunjukkan laki – laki maskulin menurut budaya patriarki hanyalah mitos belaka, terlihat pada Rama yangmemiliki penyimpangan seksual dan Tariq yang melakukan self harm, menunjukkan emosi, dantidak berani melaporkan kasusnya. Melalui 5 kode pembacaan tersebut ditemukan adanya pengaruh tekanan konstruksimaskulinitas yang dirasakan korban laki – laki, sehingga korban lebih memilih diam danmemendam kasusnya. Korban laki – laki memandang pengalaman ini sebagai tanda bahwa dirinyasudah bukan laki - laki ideal.

Abstract

Branding involves a series of marketing communication activities aimed at enhancing a brand by integrating its core concept into all advertising and stakeholder interactions. Harukaedu, a startup edutech company, faced challenges with its marketing communications due to its three independent business units. To address this, the company undertook a rebranding process to unify its identity and streamline communication strategies. Using a qualitative case study approach and constructivist paradigm, the research examined the brand change process based on General Model Planned Change, Brand Management, and Corporate Rebranding theories. The findings reveal that the company executed a revolutionary rebranding through a structured, step-by-step approach to rebuild its brand and image. The rebranding process included entering & contracting, diagnosing, planning, and implementing, which involved repositioning, renaming, redesigning, launching, and evaluating, before concluding with institutionalizing change.

Abstract

Drawing on theories of participatory culture, social identity, and new media, the study investigates how fans interact and express themselves in this digital context. This qualitative study employs a textual analysis approach, to examine the comments left by followers on the Instagram feed posts of the @arcticmonkeysindonesia account. The research delves into the rich data obtained through comment extraction, exploring the variety of perspectives and narratives woven within the online fan community. The research findings suggest that Instagram is a key platform for Arctic Monkeys fans in Indonesia to engage with the band, each other, and the broader fan community. Fans use Instagram to share and discuss music, news, and personal experiences, as well as to create and share fan art, memes, and other creative content. This participatory culture provides fans with a space to connect with others who share their love of the band, express their own identities, and build community.

Abstract

Women are the gender group that dominates the number of migrant workers in Indonesia. The Captive marriage is still a long-standing tradition practiced by the Sumba community in East Nusa Tenggara, even today. Capture marriage is a form of forced marriage through forms of violence, including physical, social, psychological and sexual. In order for the proposal in a capture marriage to be accepted immediately, the perpetrator even forces the victim by inciting or the worst is by raping the victim. this research uses Helen Cixous's feminine ecriture theory. The method used in this research is William Labov's narrative analysis, which will be used to analyze the novel entitled Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam by Dian Purnomo, through six narrative structures, namely abstract, orientation, complication, evaluation, resolution, and coda, so that it can be known the forms of women's resistance to the tradition of capture marriage in the book Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam. Through the character of Magi Diela, the author tries to represent the values of women's resistance to the capture marriage tradition. Women's resistance in the novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam is shown in Chapter 1, Chapter 7, Chapter 8, Chapter 9, Chapter 10, Chapter 12, Chapter 13, Chapter 20, Chapter 21, Chapter 25, Chapter 34, Chapter 52, Chapter 55, and Chapter 56. The resistance carried out can take the form of open resistance and closed resistance. The open form of resistance carried out by the main character is suicide because she refuses to be married to the perpetrator of the arranged marriage, struggling and kicking the kidnapper, shouting at the perpetrator of the arranged marriage as a 'rapist', hunger strike, fleeing from Sumba to Kupang, becoming a bait to imprison the perpetrator, and reporting the perpetrator of the arranged marriage to the police. Meanwhile, the closed form of resistance carried out by the main character is writing about the rights of women victims of capture marriage and the main character's experience as a victim of capture marriage, swearing, cursing, cursing in the heart, and the main character who promises to take revenge on the people involved in capture marriage.

Abstract

The phenomenon of students pursuing higher education in Indonesia often involves additional challenges when working on their final thesis, particularly due to the distance from their families. This distance frequently leads to complex academic pressures and may result in study delays as well as tragic incidents involving final-year students. Long-distance communication through media becomes crucial in maintaining relationships, providing emotional support, and motivating students amid the limitations of distance and time. This study aims to explore how the communication experiences between students living away from home and their parents influence the motivation for completing their final thesis. The theory applied is the Family Communication Patterns Theory by Ascan F. Koerner and Mary Anne Fitzpatrick, using a phenomenological approach and data collected through in-depth interviews with four student informants. The results of the study indicate that long-distance family communication plays a key role in supporting the thesis-writing process. This communication serves as a medium for maintaining emotional connections, offering support, and providing motivation, despite facing various challenges such as time differences, busy schedules, and technological obstacles like unstable internet connections and limited access to communication devices. The study also found that strong conversational orientation within families creates a supportive environment for students to share their academic progress and challenges, even though parents may not fully understand the specific details of the final thesis. Parental support, both emotional and financial, helps students feel supported throughout the academic process. Open communication between students and parents is also crucial, although some students prefer to seek advice from friends or siblings rather than their parents on specific issues related to their thesis.

Abstract

Beauty and cosmetics products are the best-selling products right now. It is known that the cosmetics and beauty industry in Indonesia has increased from year to year and contributed 1.92% to gross domestic product (GDP) (Bisnis Indonesia, 2022. Skincare is one of the beauty products needed to keep skin healthy. Not only for women, now many men also use it. Until 2022, recorded skincare sales in Indonesia reached IDR 292.4 billion in the second quarter (Compas, 2022). NPure is a local skincare brand that was founded in 2017 with a campaign in the form of skincare products with natural ingredients. NPure also revealed that its products come from raw materials taken from farmers in Indonesia, which also supports the welfare of farmers in Indonesia. The existence of many skincare brands in the beauty and cosmetics category makes it necessary for NPure to implement strategies to attract more consumer purchase interest in skincare. This study aims to evaluate the marketing communication tools used by NPure and to find out is there any influence of influencers popularity, online customer review, and advertising exposure on NPure purchase interest. The hypotheses in this study are derived from theory used in this study is the Source of Attractiveness Model, Cognitive Response Approach theory and Advertising Exposure theory, with the sampling technique of non-probability sampling. The sample consists of 100 people with female and male characteristics that already know about NPure influencers popularity, NPure online customer review and NPure advertising. The results showed that the hypothesis about influencers popularity on purchase interest, online customer review on purchase interest and advertising exposure on purchase interest is accepted with a significance value of 0.000, indicating there is a significant influence on purchase intention.

Abstract

This research is driven by the post-crisis situation of Garuda Indonesia, the state-owned national airline that is still striving to rebuild public trust following a series of challenges, including financial losses, mounting debts, instances of corruption and mismanagement. The restoration of trust has been accompanied by a variety of post-crisis news coverage in the mass media over the past year. In order to compensate for the frequency with which it is reported on, Garuda Indonesia has begun uploading content to its Instagram account with the aim of increasing public trust. The objective of this study is to ascertain the impact of post-crisis news exposure and exposure to @garuda.indonesia Instagram content on the level of trust in Garuda Indonesia. This research is of an explanatory quantitative research. The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling, with the target population comprising Indonesian individuals who were aware of Garuda Indonesia's post-crisis news and had encountered the airline's Instagram content within the previous six months. Tests were conducted using linear regression analysis. The results demonstrated that news exposure exerted no partial effect on the level of trust, while content exposure exhibited a partially significant effect on the level of trust. Furthermore, the simultaneous exposure to both news and content had no effect on the level of trust.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of product information exposure and sales promotion on the intention to use BRT Trans Semarang. Although BLU UPTD Trans Semarang continues to disseminate product information and sales promotions through various media, BRT Trans Semarang has not been able to reach its monthly passenger target. This research aims to understand the effect of exposure to product information and sales promotions on the intention to use BRT Trans Semarang using Information Integration Theory and Cognitive Response Approach Theory. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling with a total sample of 100 respondents who are people who live in Semarang City and know the product information of BRT Trans Semarang, and have seen the sales promotion of BRT Trans Semarang. Through simple regression analysis techniques to test the first hypothesis and second hypothesis of the study, it was found that there is an influence between exposure to product information on intention to use BRT Trans Semarang as evidenced by a significance value of 0.002 which is smaller than 0.05 and a coefficient value of 0.424 so that the first hypothesis is accepted. This means that the higher the exposure to product information, the higher the consumer interest in using BRT Trans Semarang. Then the second hypothesis test shows that there is an influence between exposure to sales information on intention to use BRT Trans Semarang as evidenced by a significance value of <0.001 which is smaller than 0.05 and a coefficient value of 0.590 so that the first hypothesis is accepted. This means that the higher the exposure to sales promotion, the higher the consumer intention to use BRT Trans Semarang
