Abstract

This research aims to produce a group counseling guidelines using modeling techniques to improve self-management. The method used in this research is the research and development method. This guidelines was validated by two expert validators with a background in guidance and counseling and languages, as well as by one practitioner validator with a background in guidance and counseling education. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling which was adapted to the research objectives. The number of samples in this study was 5 people, adjusted to the number of counseling group members, namely 2-8 people. Based on the guidelines that have been developed, the research results show that there is an increase in self-management with an average increase based on post test results of 42.4%. Thus group counseling uses effective modeling techniques to improve self-management.

Abstract

Good management will lead to the realization of the expected marketing, because marketing management is responsible for how the school's efforts to achieve the objectives set in its marketing, such as promoting schools to satisfy consumers and service quality. Marketing management needs to be considered by schools because it will determine the number of students who will enroll in the school. However, in marketing education that must be considered not only outside of school, such as placing advertisements, but also improving the internal school itself. Because with the existence of quality resources, it will give birth to a good image in the eyes of the community. Remember that consumer satisfaction must take precedence in this activity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the distance start between the racing start and grab start technique. The research design is expost facto research. The population of the research are 23 people, out of these population, the sample was purposive sampling about 12 male swims athletes. To measure the distance of grab start technique and racing start technique then measured using meter tool. To test the research hypothesis, the data analysis technique used is comparative analysis by using the test equation of different mean or t test. Result of research: There is a significant difference between the launch distance of grab start technique with the launch distance in racing start technique. The average launch distance of grab start technique is 9. 26 meters while the average start from racing start technique is 9.04 meters. Thus, the grab start technique is better thanĀ  racing start technique.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of (1) Communication on the performance of the Youth and Sports Office of Kerinci Regency (2) Welfare on the performance of the Youth and Sports Office of Kerinci Regency (3) Team Work on the performance of the Youth and Sports Office of Kerinci Regency (4) Communication, Welfare and Team Work have a joint effect on the performance of the employees of the Youth and Sports Office of Kerinci Regency.The population in this study is all There are 33 employees of the Kerinci Regency Youth and Sports Office. Technique of determining the number of samplesusing total sampling. The data analysis technique used multiple regression by fulfilling the requirements of the classical assumption test of normality, and multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity.The results of this study indicate that (1) Communication has a positive significant effect on the performance of the Kerinci District Youth and Sports Office (2) Well-being give a positive influence on the performance of the employees of the Youth and Sports Office of Kerinci Regency (3) Teamwork provide a positive influence on the performance of the employees of the Youth and Sports Office of Kerinci Regency (4) Communication, Welfare and Team Work jointly have a positive effect on the performance of the employees of the Youth and Sports Office of Kerinci Regency.

Abstract

The accuracy of the smash in the badminton game is very necessary so that the smash punch is difficult to return by the opponent. Accurate smash punches will help the player to win the match. This study aims to see the relationship between concentration and smash accuracy. This study used the correlational method by conducting concentration tests and smash accuracy to 20 coaching department students who were taking badminton courses. Concentration tests and smash accuracy tests were used to collect data on this study. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between concentration and smash accuracy in badminton. The coaches should provide concentration training to their players so that the players' smash accuracy can be more optimal.

Abstract

Based on the background, the researcher can identify the problems in Elementary School of Gunung Batu. There are some problem that researcher find. Such as, 1) teacher discipline in teaching is still lacking, 2) headmaster is less concerned with the needs of teachers at work, 3) lack of learning facilities including teacher handbooks,4) teachers take care of proposals for ranks themselves, not coordinated by the school, and 5) there is no reward for teachers whose subjects excel. The hypothesis in this study is that there is an influence of leadership style on the work discipline of Gunung Batu Elementary School teachers. There is an effect of job satisfaction on the work discipline of Gunung Batu Elementary School teachers. There is an influence of leadership style and job satisfaction together on the work discipline of Gunung Batu Elementary School teachers. The data collection is done by observation, interviews and questionnaires. Analysis is conducted correlation analysis t test and F test results of the questionnaire and the data analysis showed that there is leadership style influence on teachers' work Discipline Elementary School 2 Rock amounted to 84.5% with a value of t = 17 489. with sig 0.000. There is an effect of Job Satisfaction on the work discipline of teachers at Gunung Batu 2 Elementary School at 79.7% with a value of t = 14,818. with sig 0.000. There is an effect of Leadership Style and Job Satisfaction together on the work discipline of teachers of SD Negeri 2 Gunung Batu by 86.3% with a value of F = 173,909. with sig 0.000. From a joint comparison, the influence of the leadership style variable is more dominant than job satisfaction, namely 5.183 versus 2.709, so the leadership style variable has a smaller significance, namely 0.000.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of leadership style and work motivation on the performance of teachers at senior high school 1 of Semendawai Barat. This research is conducted in the world of education which focuses on schools, namely senior high school 1 of Semendawai Barat from June to September 2020.Data collection techniques used in this study among are questionnaire, observation and documentation. Respondents in this study were 45 teachers. The data analysis method used quantitative analysis, using the SPSS 21 application. The analysis carried out was the correlation analysis of the t test and the F test. The results of the data analysis from the questionnaire showed that the results of the t-value test were 11,257 with a sig level of 0,000, so the hypothesis was concluded that there was an influence of leadership style. on the performance of teachers at senior high school 1 of Semendawai Barat is accepted. The results of the analysis of R Square 0.835 indicate that about 83.5% of the effect on variable Y can be explained by variations in variable X1.The result of the t-value test is 11,960 with a sig level of 0,000, so the hypothesis that there is an influence of work motivation on the performance of teachers in senior high school 1 of Semendawai Barat is accepted. R Square 0.815 shows that about 81.5% of the variation that occurs in variable Y can be explained by variations in variable X2. The results of the multiple regression test of the influence of the variable leadership style (X1) and the work motivation variable (X2) on performance (Y) can be concluded that based on the results of the ANOVA test whose F value is 77,362 sig is 0,000 <0.005, then hypothesis 3 is accepted, and variables X1 and X2 have an effect. significant towards Y variable and the amount of influence is 86.3% while the remaining 13.7% is influenced by other variables outside of leadership style and work motivation. The multiple regression equation for the variables X1 and X2 against Y is = 4.399 + 0.343X1 + 0.526X2 + e.

Abstract

Homosexuality is defined as romantic attraction, sexual attraction, or sexual behavior between the same sex or gender. Gay is one of the sexual disorders where man is attracted to other straight or gay man. Mostly, teenagers are unaware of this current emerging phenomenon. So, some may get involved or even dragged into this crisis which will lead them to miserable mental state. Their lack of knowledge about the concept and detrimental effect of gay behavior is also the main concern. Hence, a preventive approach should be taken to hinder teenagers, especially male students, from the negative outcome of gay behavior through guidance and counselling program. The paper followed the procedure in descriptive research design. The research population was all public high school students in Padang and there were 100 respondents which was chosen through purposive sampling. Based on the research findings, 15 students (15%) responded in the highest scale, extremely concerned. 23 students (23) were moderately concerned. 58 students (58%) seemed in uncertainty. 4 students (4%) were at loss or slightly concerned facing this crisis. In brief, most students had low awareness of this crisis. Thus, their understanding in gay behavior must be enhanced. The aid offered to help them protect themselves is providing information about the concept of gay behavior, gay characteristics, the causes of gay behavior, the impact of being a homosexual man and how they find a sexual partner through guidance and counseling program.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of the Employees of the Tourism and Culture Office of Kerinci Regency. This study uses a quantitative research type method, where the sampling technique uses a total sampling technique, with a total sample of 31 employees of the Tourism and Culture Office of Kerinci Regency. The analysis technique is multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are either partially or simultaneously, work motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment have a positive and significant impact on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of the Kerinci Tourism and Culture Office Employees. The magnitude of the effect is 57.6%.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the correlation among language learning strategies, reading attitude, and reading achievement of the eleventh grade students of State Senior High Schools Lahat District. In this study, 85 students of the eleventh grade were chosen as sample through stratified random sampling. This study applied correlation research design. Questionnaire and test was used to collected the data. They were analyzed by using pearson product moment correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis. The result showed that the sig value of correlation between learning strategies and reading achievement was 0.04 which was higher than 0.05, with 5% contribution of learning strategies. The correlation between reading attitude and reading achievement was 0.000 which lower than 0.05, with 15.8% contribution of reading attitude. The correlation between learning strategies and reading attitude was 0.006 which was lower than 0.05, with 8.7% contributions. The correlation among language learning strategies, reading attitude, and reading achievement was 0.000 which was lower than 0.05, with 17% contributions of learning strategies and reading attitude.
