Abstract

In the „knowledge based business‟ paradigm, intellectual capital have become a pre-eminent economic resources and the basis for competitive advantages. The main objective of this study was to examine factors - factors that affect the disclosure of intellectual capital in the companies listed in Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) in 2012 - 2014. The variables used are the Intellectual Capital Disclosure Item, Firm Age, Firm Size, Leverage, Profitability, Level of Intellectual Capital, and the type of Auditors. Measurement of intellectual capital items using models of Bukh et al. 2005, namely employees, customers, information technology, processes, and reporting strategies. This study indicates that the voluntary disclosure of intellectual capital finding suggest that the age, size, and type of auditor found to have an influence on the amount of intellectual capital disclosure. Other factors, such as leverage, profitability, and level of intellectual capital were found not to have an influence on the amount of intellectual capital disclosure. The method is applied using multiple regression analysis, the statistical test of hypothesis testing and statistical test t F. The results showed that the age of the firm and the size, has a significant influence on the intellectual capital disclosure. Type of auditor have an influence on the amount of intellectual capital disclosure. However, this study did not find a positive effect on leverage, profitability and level of intellectual capital on the disclosure of intellectual capital

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of e-commerce, product quality, and product promotion on purchasing decisions of Mahkota Batik;s products in Laweyan, Surakarta. This was an explanatory research using questionnaires as the tools to collect the primary data. This study included 100 respondents as the sample and the data were taken with purposive sampling method and accidental technique. The selected respondents were those who have made purchases in Batik Mahkota and have conducted payment transactions using electronic instruments. The methodology used to analyze the primary data in this research was validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, and significance test (t and F test) using SPSS 16.0. The results showed that e-commerce had a significant effect on purchasing decisions with a percentage of 27.4%, while the rest was influenced by factors other than e-commerce. Product quality significantly influenced the purchase decisions with a percentage of 33.2%, while the rest was influenced by factors other than product quality. Product promotion also had a significant effect on purchasing decisions with a percentage of 29.6%, while the rest was influenced by factors other than promotion. While simultaneously, e-commerce, product quality, and promotion had a significant effect on purchasing decisions with a percentage of 44.8%, while the rest was influenced by factors other than e-commerce, product quality, and promotion. It can be concluded that the better the e-commerce system used, product quality, and the promotion technique, the higher the purchase decision of the products of Batik Mahkota. Based on the results obtained in the research, researchers then suggested that Batik Mahkota should improve the e-commerce in terms of system’s quality and information’s quality. Maintaining and improving the product quality and planning on more promotional activities can also be done to make improvement.

Abstract

Costumer satisfaction is influenced by several factors, including the quality of service and price. This study establishes the service quality and price as a benchmark for customer satisfaction at Kampoeng Djowo Sekatul restaurant. This type of research is explanatory research, by using a self questionnaire administrator as the data collection technique. The tool used was a questionnaire. The population in this study is the food costumers Kampoeng Djowo Sekatul. Calculation of the sample using non-probability sampling technique, the type used is accidental sampling by respondents as many as 100 people. The data analysis technique used is the linear regression analysis. The conclusion from this study is that there are significant between service quality and price on consumer satisfaction Kampoeng Djowo Sekatul Kendal, partially affect service quality by 28.8% to customer satisfaction, and prices by 34.9% on customer satisfaction. Mutual influence the quality of service and price to customer satisfaction by 36.3%, while 63.7% is influenced by other factors. Advice: the company must conduct periodic evaluation and improvement of the quality of service that is better in the eyes of costumers, Kampoeng Djowo Sekatul restaurant must still maintain a decent price for the costumer based on their level of income, a place of comfort and quality of food as well as other competitors.

Abstract

The acquisitions strategy are considered to create synergy and value-added. The success of acquisition can be seen from the company's performance, especially its financial performance. This research aims to analyze the comparison before and after acquisition on the company's financial performance mining and mining service sector in IDX. The company's financial performance is measured using financial ratios are: Liquidity Ratio, Solvency Ratio, Activity Ratio and Profitability Ratio.The research’s type is comparative research by comparing 2 years before and 2 years after acquisition. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling, where there are 10 companies as sample. Used secondary data. Aanalysis method used is normality test One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test and then use different test Paired Sample t-test for normal distribution of data and Wilcoxon Signed Rank test for normally distributed data.The results from different test with a significance level of 5% showed no differences in Liquidity Ratio used CR as result sig 0,344 > 0,05. There’s difference in Solvency Ratio used DR as result sig 0,008 < 0,05 and used DER as result sig 0,020 < 0,05. There’s no difference Activities Ratio used TATO as result sig 0,141 > 0,05. There’s difference Profitability Ratio used NPM as result sig 0,019 < 0,05 ; ROI as result sig 0,001 < 0,05 ; ROE as result sig 0,001 < 0,05 dan EPS as result sig 0,008 < 0,05.The conclusion there are difference in solvency ratios and profitability ratios, there are no difference in the liquidity ratio and the ratio of the activity. Company needs to improve its current assets to current liabilities guarantee, restricting the use of funds from the loan, using its assets more efficiently and optimize the company's operations as well as the efficiency of the company in order to achieve satisfactory results.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the satisfaction of insurance police holder of  PT. Prudential Life SM1 Semarang upon service rendered to insurance police holder. This study uses the type of descriptive research.  The results of this research is satisfaction of customer based on dimension of quality of responsiveness, reliability, assurance, empathy and direct evidence which is nearly in accordance with customers expectation.  Result of analysis shows that accordance between expectation and performance of the quick and proper service about the process of police issuance was 87.45%.  The process of police cashing  was 90.11%, administration procedure and easy payment  was 85.27%, providing clear and easy-to-understand information was 84.05%, responsiveness  of   PT. Prudential Life SM1 Semarang’s  employee was 88.25%, capability of employee to respond to complaint and problem of customers was 83.30%, answering telephone from customer well and quickly was 80.19%, accuracy of information related to claims was 83.55%, employee’s knowledge and skill  was 85.78%, polite and friendly service were 89.89%, employee’s integrity was 87.44%, assurance of security and trust  against customers was 82.53%.  Generally, result of analysis shows that service of   PT. Prudential Life SM1 Semarang toward insurance police holder was satisfactory enough.

Abstract

Increasing competition for e-money, especially business competition in the field of payment services. One payment service that is growing rapidly is Go-Pay, an online payment service that is on the Go-Jek application. The number of Go-Pay users has decreased even though the achievement of the target has increased in its realization but in the percentage of changes, there has been a sharp decline.. The goals of this research are to determine the effect of e-service quality and promotion on using decisions at Go-Pay product. Type of research using explanatory research with data collection technics by interviews and data collection tools using offline questionnaires with a sample of 30 respondents Go-Pay user in Semarang City and using online questionnaires with a sample 70 respondents Go-Pay user in Semarang City using methods of purposive sampling and Accidental Sampling. The analysis technique used validity test, reliability test, cross-tabulation test, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t-test, and F test with SPSS 25.0. From the result of research indicate that e-service quality influence to using decision equal to 40,3%, promotion influence to using decision equal to 43,3%, while simultan e-service quality and promotion effect on using decision equal to 55,7%. It means the better the quality of e-service quality and promotion then the higher using decision Go-Pay in Semarang City. The promotion variable to the usage decision variable has a bigger effect than e-service quality. Based on the results of the study, the researcher suggested that aplikasi Karya Anak Bangsa company performs improvements in the Go-Pay transaction system so as not to cause errors when making transactions using Go-Pay, they also increase the security of data privacy of Go-Pay users so that e-service quality of Go-Pay can be increased. That way, Go-Pay can be a priority choice for users in payment.

Abstract

In the past three years, the motorcycle industry in Indonesia has increased. It affects the growth of the helmet industry to provide a comfortable and safe riding environment so that competition among helmet producers in Indonesia getting tougher. Helmet manufacture in Indonesia competed to create a quality product for the customers. INK helmet is one of helmet brand that has been in Indonesia’s helmet industry for a long time, but in the last two years INK helmet market shares has decreased due to the arrival of great competitor,  KYT helmet. The fluctuation of market share has encouraged this study.This study aimed to analyze the influence of  price, promotion, and brand image on the purchasing decision of INK helmet. Respondents who are involved in this study were 98 students, while methods used both are multi stage sampling, and purposive sampling. Data collected by spreading questionnaire and data analysis method was done through multiple linear regressions using SPSS software.Regression results indicate that the variable of price has positive and significant influence on purchase decisions toward INK helmet. Promotion variables have positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions. Brand image variables have positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions Coefficient of determination value amounted, this means purchase decision is influenced by variable price, promotion, and brand image, while the remaining can be explained by other variables that are not investigated in this study.Advice to this research is INKhelmet company have to always make an innovation, increase the promotion, , and quality of product also always giving an affordable price so INK helmet can survive on this tight competition

Abstract

Employee performance is a way of business organization to achieve the aim. Employees who is already hard work and give the best performance, will make the company can take the glory. Group cohesiveness and communication have impact to increase employee performance. Except on those, spirit at work become one of factor to achieve the joy of emploee performance. That is why three of those are imporant and need focus to improve employee performance on Sutiasa Jamrud. Type of research used is Explanatory Research. The sample of research is 74 respondents. The sample was taken using the technique of disproportionate stratified random sampling. The results showed that group cohesiveness and communication significantly influence the spirit at work, which is r = 0.635 with the coefficient of determination of 40.3%. Based on F test, get the result of F count 23,980. The results also showed that group cohesiveness, communication, and spirit at work significantly influence employee performance, which is r = 0,624 with coefficient of determination equal to 62,4%. Based on F test, get result of F count 38,667 which is bigger than F table. Based on the results of the analysis of path shows that the morale variable mediates the cohesiveness of the group and the communication of the employee's performance. The spirit of work mediates partially because either directly or using the mediation variable, morale shows significant results. The suggestion that can be given to Sutiasa Jamrud is that the company should be able to support the employee's attitude to be more united with the group, and the company can provide better communication system so that employees can improve morale so that desired employee performance can be achieved.

Abstract

Along the times, the mobilization of people in the world get increased, including Indonesia. The convenient, fast and safe transportation is needed for society to support their mobility. PT. Kereta Api (Persero) is a state-owned facilities and infrastructure that manages the railway transportation in Indonesia. To win the competition of transportation business, an entrepreneur services or service company must give priority to customers satisfaction. The product launched names argo muria and argo sindoro is an effort to increase customer satisfaction.The problem of this research is the number of passengers declined from the year 2008 to 2012. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of service quality and price on customer satisfaction argo class train argo track Semarang - Jakarta.The type of this research is an explanatory research. The number of samples in this study were 96 respondents taking using purposive sampling. Data was collected through interviews and literature study. Data analysis using linear regression test with SPSS 16.0.The results showed that the quality of service has an influence on customer satisfaction with a correlation coefficient of 0.835 and a coefficient of determination of 69.7%, the price has influence on customer satisfaction with a correlation coefficient of 0.719 and a coefficient of determination of 51.7%, service quality and price simultaneously have influence on customer satisfaction with a correlation coefficient of 0,841 and a coefficient determination of 70,8%.Suggestions for this company is they needs to improve the quality of service and the price should be reviewed considering other modes of transport is cheaper and efficient.

Abstract

PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) head office is business unit which actively pioneering knowledge management. One of the effort is operating knowledge sharing which is one of the stages of the socialization process of knowledge creation. Knowledge management is a container for managing the knowledge possessed by the human component. The human component is worker implement the process of knowledge creation. Knowledge sharing in PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) named JKS 48. Worker program conducting knowledge sharing been seen whether it fulfills the five criteria as knowledge workers. The fifth criteria knowledge worker is self-driven, motivated, action oriented, responsible and a team player.Methods of data collection were used interviews, participant observation, collecting documents and literature, then analyzed with case studies. The results showed that knowledge sharing implemented are good and enthusiastic worker to follow, and there is a knowledge sharing activities are also regularly carried out by the divisions, PP and PK division. There are three key informants who did not fulfill the criteria of knowledge worker, discussion of knowledge workers and knowledge sharing in accordance with the theory. 16 key informant who fulfill the criteria for knowledge workers to contribute to the performance. Recommendation to PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) head office is supported key informants who fulfill the criteria and build a repository to collect ideas, ideas and knowledge possessed by each worker head office, regional offices and branch offices.
