Abstract

The development of Indonesian people's lifestyle changes every year. Business sector is one of them, a business that grows rapidly and significantly causes the mindset of the people of Indonesia mengingnkan everything practical, including in the fulfillment of life needs. People are beginning to shift from traditional retail to cleaner and more comfortable modern retailers. One of the existing retail companies in Indonesia is Giant that offers a wide range of daily necessities products.This type of research is explanatory research, with a population of 100 respondents who have visited and made a purchase at Giant Semarang City. Sampling in this study using non-probability sampling. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires. The data analysis method used using Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GeSCA).Based on the results of GeSCA calculation analysis can be explained that the results of direct impact test on this research model showed the results of positive and significant influence. The result of indirect effect test on the model also shows the result of positive and significant influence. The effect of customer satisfaction as a mediator variable in the model is partial and perfect mediation.Based on that, the researcher suggested that Giant Semarang City to increase Price and Corporate Image by reviewing the standard of the mean value of each variable is still below the average value.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate customer’s perception concerning retailing mix that has been done by Sri Ratu Peterongan Supermarket, its influence towards customer loyalty, and which variable influence customer loyalty the most. Population that was used is Sri Ratu Peterongan Supermarket’s customer who has SATU card. Number of sample is 100 people. Sampling technique that was used is nonprobability sampling. Sample was taken by purposive sampling method. Data which is obtained was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using validity and reliability test, crosstab analysis, correlation coefficient, simple linear regression, double linear regression, determination coefficient, t and F test with SPSS 18 for windows. Research results are retailing mix, consist of store location, merchandise, price, customer service, promotion, and store atmosfer, have positive influence towards customer loyalty, and customer service variabel has the biggest influence towards customer loyalty.

Abstract

The increasing of technology development to be more sophisticated and also the rising of market competitions to be fierce make Samsung Corporation should be more content in showing its benefit products, especially for Android, in order to grab consumers concern. The problem is the content product of Samsung Android become more competitive.This study aims to test the effects of promotion, price, and quality to Samsung Android purchasing decision partially and simultaneously. It is an explanatory research with 100 respondents around Semarang city as its samples by using purposive sampling method (based on certain conditions) and also using questionnaires as research instrument and doing some interviews as data collecting method. This research uses some data analytical methods, such as validity test, reliability test, correlation test, coefficient of determination test, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t-test, and F-test, which are supported by SPSS 15.00.The categorization of promotion is good and the mean variabel score is 3,51. T-test value is 4,489 > t-table 1,9845. The corellation between promotion and purchasing decision is intermediate. The regression coefficient of promotion is 0,316 and its coefficient of determination is 17,1%. The categorization of price is good enough and the mean variabel score is 3,41. T-test value is 5,081 > t-table 1,9845. The corellation between price and purchasing decision is intermediate. The regression coefficient of price is 0,442 and its coefficient of determination is 20,9%. The categorization of quality is good and the mean variabel score is 3,72. T-test value is 5,410 > t-table 1,9845. The corellation between quality and purchasing decision is intermediate. The regression coefficient of quality is 0,524 and its coefficient of determination is 23%. The categorization of purchasing decision is good enough and the mean variabel score is 3,34.The results conclude that promotion, price, and quality have influences to Samsung Android purchasing decision in partial and simultant. The recommendations for the company are like Samsung Corporation should defend the promotion to be more interesting and increase the quantity of advertisement and publicity, make the prices competitive based on quality, increase the product quality. For the consumers, they should choose Android product based on their needs, not only for their want. Select the product corectly based on quality in order that it can’t be broken easily.

Abstract

The development of business that is getting ahead is always in tandem with technological developments that increasingly rapidly. One business that is influenced by the development of internet technology is e-commerce. As an initiator, Tiket.com has lost competitiveness with emerging competitors. Therefore, the effort to attract consumers to buy is important so that consumers do not switch to other services. This study aims to determine the effect of ease of access and discount on purchasing decisions Tiket.com online site. This research is an explanatory research by using questionnaire as its instrument. Population and sample used are the users of Tiket.com at Diponegoro University taken as many as 156 respondents by using purposive sampling method. Based on the analysis results can be concluded that the ease of access and discounts affect the purchase decision, evidenced through simple linear regression test with regression value of ease of access is equal to 0.461 and a discount is equal to 0.596. The data analysis techniques are using correlation test, determination test, simple linear regression test, multiple linear regression test, t test and F test with the help of program SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) version 23. The effect of ease of access and discount are together to influence purchase decision of 43.8%. While the remaining 56.2% influenced by other factors. Based on the results of the research, the author can provide advices to Tiket.com such as to improve the user interface both on the site and mobile application in order to be much easier, more attention to price competition and features with competitors as a comparative material, and review the standard operating procedure related to payment and reservation procedures.

Abstract

Welfare workers are influenced by several factors, such as good wages and role of trade unions.Workers so do the rallies to fight them welfare. This study aims to identify and explain the effect of wages and the role of trade unions on the welfare of workers. the effect of rallies on welfare. Object of this research PT Sai Apparel Industries which all workers are members of the National Labor Union. This type of research is explanatory research. The technique of collecting data using interviews, questionnaires and observation. The conclusion from this study is that wages and role of trade unions effect on workers welfare. Based on the conclusion that the company needs to increase the amount of compensation in the form of allowances. Unions need to enhance the role to be the center of information for workers. Besides, the government should review the minimum wage policy is based on the necessities of life for single workers.

Abstract

In the development of the world business now cargo transport services develops very rapidly including traffic export goods imports. DHL Global Forwarding is a company which moves in the fields of services import export , who over a period of years 2011-2014 always ranked to 4 top brand index of shipping services in indonesia; percentage tending to increased but could not surpass delivery company services which other. During that period the amount of service users PT.DHL Global Forwarding the branch of semarang continues to decrease. The condition is demanding the company back to evaluate the quality of service and the fare given the satisfaction of users for the sake of .The purpose of this research is knowing the influence of the quality of the waiters and tariff users against satisfaction in DHL Global Forwarding semarang city. Type of research that is used is explanatory research, with a sample of 100 respondents who uses services DHL Global Forwarding in semarang cityData collection method is documentation and the questionnaire, the method of analysis namely the instrument ( the validity and reliability test), analysis table cross, regression test , the determination , uji-t , uji-f and analysis the using spss 16 for windows.The result showed that any impact positively and significant quality of services and rates of customer loyalty indirectly through the customer satisfaction as variable intervening, because direct effect < indirect effect.So, the conclusion increased customer loyalty could be achieved through improving the quality of service, giving the fare cheap and satisfaction high service.Recommendations to research it is the first, develop a communication with our customers especially delay to inform dispatches on the objective of control of the company; second, always motivate employees to improve their services.

Abstract

In modern times like today, the demand for various types of communication tools is increasing. This causes competition to compete the market share in business world in the telecommunications sector. Huawei is a Chinese smartphone brand that is in demand by the public both in terms of trusted product quality and low prices. Based on statistics from the International Data Corporation (IDC) which describes the market share of smartphone users in the world, Huawei ranks second in the world with a market share of 15.8%. The magnitude of Huawei smartphones market share is due to high purchasing decisions that are influenced by product quality, price, place and promotion. The purpose of this study is T to determine the effect of product quality and price on purchasing decisions of Huawei smartphones. The type of research used is correlational studies with quantitative methods. The sampling technique uses non-probality sampling, namely accidental sampling and purposive sampling. This study uses a sample of 100 respondents, consisting of Universitas Diponegoro and Universitas Negeri Semarang students who have purchased Huawei Smartphones. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. This study uses qualitative and quantitative analysis, the stages begin the validity and reliability test followed by a regression analysis using SPSS 22.0. The results showed that all proposed indicators were valid and the three variables proposed were reliable. Regression test results indicate product quality and price have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions.  Researcher suggest to PT Huawei Tech Investments is to improve product quality on product durability, complete features, and component availability. Maintaining prices by adjusting product prices and quality, and providing ease of payment. Improve purchasing decisions by adding sales outlets, increasing advertising and promotions

Abstract

Professional attitude is very important in carrying out its work. Professional work is the manner in which someone is able to apply the capability or expertise to be able to provide the best performance on the job. Sometimes the formation of a professional attitude of employees because of the company's business ethics are useful to provide guidance in running the business. No exception will Multi Level Marketing business that makes employees become a major asset in running the business. But in reality MLM Herbalife Apex branch employees' professional attitude in running business ethics is still low and often a lot of violations. Violations often occur on recruitment and sales for the product. The purpose of this study to determine the ethics of recruiting new downline, determine product pricing and granting discounts, as well as efforts to achieve professional work as the implementation of business ethics conducted by Herbalife distributor Rembang branch.Type of this research is exploratory. Retrieval technique is purposive sampling resources; data collection techniques done by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation; data analysis techniques using test data by triangulation credibility, transferability test, and test konfirmability.Results and discussion in the Herbalife business are many violations as follows: recruiting a downline that does not comply with existing rules and product sales due to product price is too expensive, the achievement of distributors can see the performance of distributors who work full time and side. The conclusions are many distributors who are committed and professional work ethics so low that in the implementation of an already established business, there are several violations that resulted in delays in the process of doing business. His advice is more assertive and precise in addressing the violations that occurred and needs to be improved meeting capable of inflicting a professional attitude to work and inform about business ethics prearranged.

Abstract

the activities of Corporate Social Responsibility has become a liability for the company. In addition to these activities can enhance citra peruahaan and customer loyalty. The last time the development in some of the fast-food restaurant in Indonesia is growing increasingly rapidly, such as in Semarang city McDonalds already held a variety of Corporate Social Responsibility activities. However, there are still customers do not know the activities of Corporate Social Responsibility and corporate image that exists so that the causes of low customer loyalty. This research type is explanatory research with engineering data collection questionnaire with accidental sampling method. Because the number of populations unknown then according to Emory and Cooper (1997) sampled in this study amounts to 100 respondents who is a customer of McDonalds in the city of Semarang. With a test with test validity, reliability, cross-tabulations, coefficient of correlation, simple regression analysis, the determination coefficient, test of significance (t-test), and test results of f. this research concluded that Corporate Social Responsibility a positive and significant effect against the corporate image, Corporate Social Responsibility and positive effect significantly to customer loyalty. Abstract

Companies which engaged in trade and services, customer  plays a very important role. As companies which strive to meet the needs and desires of its customers, the company's survival depends on the behavior of the consumers. Several factors will determine the insurance customer satisfaction including the appropriate price and the quality of service. Along with the increasing of public welfare so the consumption on other basic needs such as foods, clothes and houses have also increased. A need on insurance services increasingly perceived, not only for individuals but also for business in Indonesia. It is called as the tremendous progress in the services sector of the indonesia insurance industry  which has  very tight competition. The number of competitors in this business , makes insurance companies should be able to provide a particular advantage.the advantage can be accomplished if there are available informations of the consumer market. To face the competition, AJB Bumiputera 1912 KCE Semarang needs an innovation and improvement in terms of insurance premiums and service qualities. The problem of this study is the reduction in the amount of customers. The type of the research is explanatory research, with the samples are 90 respondents through purposive sampling technique. Analysis techniques used validity, reliability testing, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and F test with SPSS tools 16. The result of this study showed insurance premiums and quality services of AJB Bumiputera 1912 KCE Semarang can be quite good. Customer satisfaction was also increased. The amount of insurance premiums’ influence on customer satisfaction was 68.1%. The magnitude of the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction was 79.3%. Simultaneously, the influence of insurance premiums and service quality was 80.9%. it means, if the insurance premiums and quality service are better, it will make a result on the significant increase of the consumer  satisfaction.According to the data analysis it can be concluded that partially or simultaneously insurance premiums and service quality significantly make an effect on customer satisfaction and they have a tight and strong level of the relationship. For your suggestion,  Company needs to add the long term contracts as well as reduce the risk of benefits. if the risk of benefits are so much, the premium will be more expensive, but if it is less, the cost of insurance premiums can be lower and make the claims complaint handling standard system which to be a referral for the  agents when they get a claims complaint, in addition, company needs to conduct trainings for employees to enhance their skills, especially,  techniques in how to convey information well and hone verbal skills in conveying information.
