Abstract

The lack of use of innovative learning models and the lack of focus on learners have impacted unsatisfactory student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of project-based learning models on the cognitive learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Plamongansari 02. This research is a quantitative study with a Pre-experimental Design type with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The sample taken consisted of 24 fourth-grade students from SDN Plamongansari 02, using Purposive Sampling technique, which is a sampling technique determined and selected by the researcher based on certain considerations. The analysis technique used includes normality test, then hypothesis testing using Paired t-test, which shows that the sig. 0.000 is less than 0.05, hence Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that the average cognitive learning outcomes of learners in the posttest score have reached mastery learning. Then the N_Gain Test obtained a mean N_Gain percentage of 59.1369, thus it can be concluded that the project-based learning model is quite effective to be implemented in fourth-grade classrooms.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of using the Project Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by visual media on grade II mathematics learning outcomes at SDN Karanganyar Gunung 02. This research is a type of quantitative research with a Pre-Experimental Designs research design type OneGroup Pretest-Posttest Design. Data analysis in this study used normality test, one sample t-test, ttest and n-gain test. The normality test is obtained based on pretest values of 0.184 > 0.05. While the results of the postest value showed that 0.398> 0.05. From the normality test result data, it can be concluded that the pretest and postest values have been normally distributed. The one sample t-test concluded that t_hitung = 3,360 > t_tabel = 2,069 or sig. 0.003< 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The t-test is obtained based on sig (2-tailed) 0.000 to 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the results of learning mathematics students before and after the implementation of Project Based Learning (PBL) assisted by visual media on pretest and posttest results. A 2-tailed sig value of 0.000 < 0.05 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. N-Gain Percent obtained 126.0813. Of the existing values between the range of values >76, values located >76 are included in the effective category.

Abstract

This study aims to prove the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the mathematics learning outcomes of second-grade students at Al Madina Islamic Elementary School in Semarang. This research is a quantitative study with a Pre-Experimental Design of the OneGroup Pretest-Posttest Design type. The population used in this study consisted of all second-grade students at Al Madina Islamic Elementary School in Semarang, totaling 32 students in the academic year 2023/2024. Data analysis in this study used normality tests, t-test, and n-gain test assisted by SPSS version 26. The normality test was obtained based on the pretest value of 0.115 > 0.05. Meanwhile, the posttest value results showed that 0.061 > 0.05. From the data of the normality test results, it can be concluded that the pretest and posttest values are normally distributed. The t-test was obtained based on the sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000, so 0.000 < 0.05, thus it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between students' mathematics learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in the pretest and posttest results. The 2-tailed sig value of 0.000 < 0.05, then HO is rejected and Ha is accepted. The n-gain test was obtained from the pretest results of 63.9 to 84.5, while in the posttest results, the average difference was 20.6 and experienced an average increase (n-gain) of 0.57, which is classified as moderately effective. Thus, it can be concluded that the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is effective in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of second-grade students in elementary school.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive study which aims to determine students' understanding of microplastics and their relationship with their behavior in using single-use plastics. The method used in this research was a survey technique with a sample of 120 people, namely third semester students at Indraprasta PGRI University. The results of the research show that students' knowledge of microplastics is still very low, namely 90% do not know what microplastics are. This is contrary to the knowledge about the impact of using single-use plastic, most of whom already understand the percentage at 96%. The research results also show that there is cognitive dissonance, namely a condition where cognitively students know that the use of single-use plastic can have an impact on the health of humans and other organisms, but behaviorally they still often and find it difficult to abandon their habit of using single-use plastic packaging.

Abstract

This study used ArcGIS computer tools, GPS and digital cameras for field data collection and documentation. The main data included Babirusa habitat maps from the IUCN, land cover maps and supporting field data. Independent variables were changes in Babirusa habitat, while dependent variables included habitat extent and quality. Spatial data was downloaded from sources such as the Geospatial Information Agency, IUCN and the Ministry of Forestry's Pusdatin, and analysed with ArcGIS, while non-spatial data from field research was analysed statistically and qualitatively. Four main analysis methods were used to understand the impact of land cover change on Babirusa habitat, including overlay analysis to highlight areas of intensive impact and change. IUCN 2021 data shows that Babirusa habitat in Gorontalo covers approximately 993,971.08 hectares. Of this area, 124,887.63 hectares or 20.93% has been converted to agricultural land, and 29,051.4 hectares or 2.92% to plantation land.

Abstract

The Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae) is one of the largest predators whose distribution covers almost all of mainland Asia to several islands in Indonesia. The study of the behavior of the Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae) regarding the typical behavior of individual tigers is very important to provide insight and knowledge about the behavior of the Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae). In this article, the author collects information about Sumatran tiger behavior based on daily behavior such as resting, socializing, moving, grooming, drinking, eating, defecating, and other activities. The method used is the literature study method. This review provides information showing that the highest resting activity of Sumatran tigers during the day is due to the hot daytime temperatures causing tigers to prefer to sleep and laze around. It is also known that grooming and bathing activities are the activities with the highest percentage of duration, and male tigers do more moving activities than female tigers. Researchers hope that this review can provide knowledge and insight into the behavior of the Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae).
