Abstract

Transplantation of pig corneas as a replacement for human corneas that are blind due to disease in the cornea is currently an inevitability that has occurred so that a doctor and Muslim donor recipient who will carry out a pig cornea transplant requires the establishment of Islamic law for this action, this is Because the source of donor corneas from humans is very difficult to obtain, so scientists have found another alternative as a source of corneas which come from pig corneas, which according to Islamic law, all materials originating from pigs are haram. Islamic law comes from the Al-Quran and Hadith, but if there is no clear text regarding a problem faced by humans, the ulama make ijtihad to determine the law through Ijmak and Qiyas. With current technological developments, not all problems can be answered unequivocally from existing Islamic legal sources and arguments, such as the current problem of transplanting pig corneas as a replacement for human corneas, so other legal arguments are needed, including Maṣlahah. In this case, the researcher took an approach to determining Islamic law based on the Al-Quran and Hadith as well as Maṣlahah Al-Ghazali's theory and the fiqh rules that support it. This article is a normative and empirical research sourced from a literature review from various representative literature sources and requests consideration of Islamic law from the Indonesian Ulema Council with the conclusion that pig corneal transplantation can be carried out with very strict requirements.

The research focuses on accessibility for persons with disabilities in public libraries, as the understanding of accessibility for persons with disabilities is still not fully understood and implemented. The method used in this study is library research. Based on the results of the literature review for the physical access standard, the four public libraries have already followed the established standards. For the media format standard, it can be concluded that the overall public library has already provided collections such as braille and computers, but not enough for the diffable libraries. Standards of service and communication, based on the evaluation of the four libraries, the library officers have not received special training for the service of disabled librarians. With this literature research, it is expected to be a benchmark for library stakeholders to be able to guide the International Standards issued by IFLA in public libraries that are accessible to disabled users.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the challenges of fulfilling child support obligations after divorce within matrilineal families in Tanah Datar, West Sumatra. The study employs a qualitative approach with an exploratory narrative design to explore the experiences and perspectives of informants, including divorced mothers with child custody, as well as local customary leaders and legal experts. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation, and then analyzed thematically to identify patterns relevant to the research objectives. The findings reveal that the Minangkabau matrilineal kinship system significantly influences the fulfillment of child support obligations after divorce, with the mother's family playing a more dominant role in child care. Factors such as the father's economic inability, distrust of the ex-wife in managing child support, and modern socio-economic dynamics are the main reasons for the father's failure to fulfill his support obligations. The discussion highlights the importance of an approach that considers Islamic law, Minangkabau customs, and socio-economic conditions in fulfilling child rights after divorce. This study also provides policy recommendations to enhance the system of fulfilling child support obligations in societies that adhere to a matrilineal kinship system, ensuring that children's rights are fairly met in accordance with applicable laws and customs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the role of animated series as a medium for internalizing Islamic character values in the alpha generation. The development of the digital era has made various aspects of life more modern and instantaneous. However, behind this progress, there are also various negative impacts that have caused a decline in character among the younger generation and moral decadence. Therefore, it is important to instill and internalize Islamic character values in the alpha generation. This study uses a literature review method, which involves examining various sources of literature such as books and journals relevant to the issues discussed in this scientific paper. The internalization of character values in the millennial generation needs to be done from an early age, because if it is applied during adolescence or adulthood, the internalization process will be much more difficult. Therefore, it is important to start character building early by utilizing digital media, for example through animated series, which are now increasingly available. The process of internalizing character values through animated series can run optimally if it involves the role and cooperation of various parties, including families, educators, and animators.
