Abstract

This research’s motivated by the low mathematical reasoning abilities students of SMP Negeri 1 Aek Ledong. The aim of this research is to find out the effect of the application Brain Based Learning learning Model by Canva on the mathematical reasoning abilities at VII th Class students of SMP Niegieri 1 Aiek Liedong in 2023/2024 Acadiemic Yiear. This typie of riesiearch is a quasi iexpierimient with a two group prie-tiest and post-tiest riesiearch diesign. Thie population arie all VII th class studients which consists of 5 classies. Thie riesiearch samplie consists of 2 classies, namiely VIIth -B and VIIth - iE class which arie takien using purposivie sampling. Thie subjiects in this riesiearch arie studients of VIIth -B class as an iexpierimiental class using thie Brain Basied Liearning Miethod and VIIth-iE Class as a control class using thie iExpository Miethod. Thie matierial usied in this riesiearch is fieasiblie comparison and rieturn valuie. Aftier complieting thie liearning, a post-tiest’s givien with an avieragie riesult of thie iexpierimiental class 84.75 and thie control class70.33. Thie riesults of thie t tiest obtainied tcount = 5.6321 > ttablie = 2.011. Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether the Treffinger Learning Model has an influence on the Numeracy Literacy Ability of Students with the Assistance of Interactive Media in Comparative Material VIIth class of UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Air Joman in 2023/2024 Academic Year. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a Two Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The population in this study are all VIIth class which consisted of 3 classes. The sample in this study are VII-4 class as an experimental class using the Treffinger learning model assisted by interactive media and VII-3 class as a control class using an expository learning model taken by Sampling Objectives. Before the lesson, a Pretest was obtained with an average result for the experimental class of 14, 25 and the control class 16.81, while after the learning was completed, a Posttest was obtained with an average result for the experimental class 79.75 and the control class 71. The results of the T test were obtained t_(Count.)>t_Table (2.266 > 1.999) thus Hα was accepted, and it is concluded that there is an influence of the Numeracy Literacy Ability Model of students using the Treffinger learning model assisted by interactive media on Comparative material in VIIth Class of UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Air Joman.Keywords : Treffinger, Comparison, Numeracy Literacy

Abstract

Students' literacy and numeracy abilities are one of the abilities that really need to be improved in order to be able to withstand the challenges of education in the 21st century. Mindset is one of the things that influences students' literacy and numeracy abilities. The aim of this research is to describe the literacy and numeracy abilities of students' mathematical thinking patterns in working on problems with comparative material. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method which was carried out at UPTD SMP N 1 Aek Kuasan in 2023/2024 Academic Year. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The subjects in this research are 25 VIIth -1 class students with different thought patterns. Data collection using, observation, tests, interviews and documentation. They analyzed including reducing data, presenting them, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the literacy and numeracy abilities of students at UPTD SMP N 1 Aek Kuasan are categorized into 3 categories, namely high, medium, low, where the high category is 32%, and the medium is 36% and the low one is 32% and then doing such an interview sample of 3 students, to strengthen the research results.  Keywords : Literacy and Numeracy Ability; Mindset, Mathematics

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a significant influence of the Problem Based Learning model based on the Powtoon application on students' mathematical communication skills in statistics material At VIIth Class of MTs Daarul Falah Sei Kamah 2 in 2023/2024 Academic Year. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a two group Pretest-Posttest research design. The population in this study are all MTs Daarul Falah Sei Kamah 2 students in 2023/2024 Academic Year. The sample in this research are VIIth- Class Al as an experimental class using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by the Powtoon Application and VIIth-B Class as a control class using an Expository learning model. Before the learning was given, a pretest was obtained with an average result for the experimental class of 19.55 and a control class of 25.41, while after the learning was completed, a posttest was obtained with an average result for the experimental class of 80.82 and the control class of 77.70. The results of the t test obtained t_count = 6.399 > t_tabel = 2.012, thus H_α was accepted, thus it was found that there was a significant influence from the Problem Based Learning model on the Powtoon application on the students' mathematical communication skills in statistics material at VIIth Class of MTs Daarul Falah Sei Kamah 2 in 2023 /2024 Academic Year.Keywords : Problem Basic Learning, Powtoon, Mathematical Communication

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) dengan aplikasi Genially terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa di SMA Negeri 6 Tanjungbalai Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian two group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Sampel penelitian ada 2 kelas (kelas X-1 dan X-5) yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Pada kelas X-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan metode Think Talk Write (TTW) dengan aplikasi Genially dan pada kelas X-5 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan metode pembelajaran langsung. Setelah pembelajaran selesai diberikan, diperoleh posttest dengan hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen 80,8 dan kelas kontrol 76,4. Hasil uji t diperoleh =  maka  diterima yang mana terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) dengan aplikasi Genially terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa di SMA Negeri 6 Tanjungbalai.

Abstract

Helping students learn mathematics comes from various factors, one of which is the lack of use of learning media, this was the driving force for carrying out this research. This research aims to create a learning media product in the form of percentage slides on trigonometry material using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by the Canva application in  Xth Class of  SMA Swasta Al-Ma'shum Kisaran that is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The subjects of this research are 34 students at X-1 Class of SMA Swasta  Al-Ma'shum Kisaran. The instruments of this research are interviews, questionnaires, assessment sheets in the form of learning implementation plans (Teaching Modules), student worksheets (LKPD) as well as evaluation questions on student learning outcomes and documentation, while data analysis is used to produce learning media products in knowing the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the product being developed. The validity of the expert assessment results is 90% with a very valid category. Then the practicality of the media is seen from the teacher's response, which is 95% and the student response is 90% in the very practical category. The learning media developed has met the effective criteria based on classical learning completeness, amounting to 88% of the number of students who’ re declared to have completed learning using the learning media used.  Keywords: Development, Learning Media, Canva

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop and produce Liveworksheets-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) that are Valid, Practical and Effective. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model which includes Definition, Design, Development and Dessisminate. The subjects of this research are 27 students  at XII th IPAClass of SMA Swasta  Daar Al Falah. The object of this research is Liveworksheets LKPD Based Using the Discovery Learning Model on Similarity and Congruence Material. The instruments used are LKPD Validation Sheets for Expert Lecturers and Mathematics Teachers for the Validity ones, Teacher and Student Assessment Sheets for the Practical Aspect, Problem Solving Ability Test Questions for the Effectiveness Aspect. Based on the results of the RPP feasibility test, LKPD, questionnaire. Teachers, Student Questionnaires, and Problem Solving Ability Tests obtained an average of 89.9% including the "Very Valid" category. Furthermore, the Liveworksheets-based LKPD was assessed by Teachers and Students with an average of 92.35% including the "Very Practical" category. , Furthermore, to measure problem solving abilities, the test gave students 5 questions with an average of 97.4%, including the "Very Effective" category. Thus, Liveworksheest based Student Worksheets (LKPD) using Discovery Learning in terms of Problem Solving Ability are declared to meet the criteria of Valid, Practical and Effective. Keywords: LKPD development, Liveworksheets, Discovery Learning, Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat keefektifan model pembelajaran TGT (Team Games Tournament) berbantuan aplikasi wordwall ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada MAS Teladan Ujung Kubu T.A 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan design penelitian two group pretest-posttes. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI. Adapun sampel penelitian yang digunakan yaitu 2 kelas (kelas XI IPA-2 dan kelas XI-IPS1). Pada kelas XI IPS-1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI IPA-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian tersebut ditentukan dari sekolah (purposive sampling). Sebelum diberikan pengajaran, terlebih dahulu diberikan pretest kepada kelas eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata 56,4 dan kelas kontrol 46,4. kemudian setelah dilakukan pengajaran masing–masing diberikan posttest dengan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 80,96 dan kelas kontrol 69,93. sehingga diperoleh data uji normalitas yaitu  dengan homogenitas  setelah itu dillakukan uji hipotesis dari penelitian ini yaitu  Maka  diterima yaitu terdapat keefektifan yang signifikan dalam penerapan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa MAS Teladan Ujung Kubu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa yang ditinjau dari kemampuan awal dan gender siswa kelas VIII UPTD SMPN 1 Pulo Bandring Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan perolehan data menggunakan data kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII UPTD SMPN 1 Pulo Bandring. Teknik analisis data menggunakan tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal kategori rendah berjumlah 22 orang atau sebanyak 29%. Sedangkan siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal kategori sedang berjumlah 33 orang atau sebanyak 43%. Adapun siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal kategori tinggi yaitu berjumlah 21 orang atau sebanyak 28%. Setelah itu, dapat diketahui jumlah siswa yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis kategori rendah yaitu siswa perempuan sebanyak 13,2%. Adapun siswa yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis kategori sedang adalah siswa laki-laki sebanyak 28,95%. Sedangkan siswa yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis kategori tinggi adalah siswa perempuan yaitu sebanyak 17,05%. Selanjutnya peneliti mengharapkan adanya penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa, yaitu lebih tepatnya pada analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa yang ditinjau dari gaya belajar.Kata Kunci : Berpikir Kritis, Kemampuan Awal, Gender

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Creative Problem Solving Learning Model on student’s Mathematic Communication Skills of UPTD SMPN 3 AIR BATU. This type of research is quasi experimental with a Two Group Pretest-Posttest Desain research design. The population in this study are all VIIth class that consist of 2 classes. The sample in this research are VIIth-2 Class as an experimental class using the Creative Problem Solving Learning Model assisted by the Geogebra application and VIIth-1 Class as a control class using an Expository Learning Model taken by total sampling. Before the learning, a pretest is obtained as an average result of the experimental class of 18,89 and a control class 21,78. While after the learning, a posttest is obtained with an average result of the experimental class 88 and the control class 51,8. The result of the t test obtained t count>t table (15,452>2,010) thus H  was accepted, the conclusion there is an influence of the Creative Problem Solving Learning Model assisted by the Geogebra application on student’s Mathematical Communication skills of UPTD SMPN 3 AIR BATU on flat-sided geometric materials (cubes and beam) 2023/2024 academic year.Keywords: Creative Problem Solving, Geogebra, Mathematical Communication
